Automatic Hindu Kush

Things aren't looking good here for the Automatic Hindu Kush seed run. #8 turned out to be a female! I think that's only day 16. Boy that's dissappointing. I wanted to make some seeds and only #7 is left and it just has a female look to it with lots of tight branching plus the mutant #9 and it's too young to catch #1 or #2 in good time.

To make it worse my 2 Aurora Indica and my Blueberry x Adam Afghani x Burmese Pure x Potent Purple (sativa looking) both turned female under the 430 Son Agro 12/12. So even they can't help me make seeds.......

If I'm stuck with females only or a bad male, I'd make a feminized seed run, as dargo suggested, colloidal silver will do the trick, It's easy to make check this.

Okay, I agree. It's desperation time. I already have colloidal silver and a homemade generator. So I just sprayed the whole batch this morning and hope I get some hermies. I'll keep spraying and cross my fingers that some of the females make pollen.

I'll do some photos tonight as the patch is starting to look good.

hello tired nice log your running thanks for sharing with us! im popping five of these as we speak is there anything i should know thanks for your time good smoking peace

Just a little teaser for now. Sorry I feel guilty for deserting my thread but I bought an ipod touch 64GB and have been busy. However I dug out my fancy camera and took 54 photos last night. They all came out crappy. When I tried to delete one the whole batch deleted by accident. But I got my small camera and took a bunch of photos this morning which came out pretty good. I have to go out now but when I get home I'll post some nice photos.

Here's a photo of the trifoliate on day 10 of 11 and even though it has to grow extra foliage it doesn't seem slow. I kind of have a soft place in my heart for it.

I would have to say that the only trouble I've had from growing these plants is the same as the advice online. Don't let them dry out as when mine dried I lost a few of the bottom leaves. I've also not found this variety to be nutrient sensative although I used very mild chemicals frequently and now they are growing into a pretty strong organic mix and seem to be very happy.

Here's an update on the Automatic Hindu Kush seed run (lol).

The plant at the back left , #2 is now on day 40. It's now 12 inches tall and and is just over half way to the finish. It's holding a fair amount of flowers even now. In the middle left is plant #1 which is still about 5 inches tall and will probably not amount to much at all but who is to say it won't be the strongest. In the front left is plant #3 which is starting to flower nicely on day 33.

The center row at the back has #7 on day 21 which you can't see, #4 is in the center on day 33 and #6 in the front on day 28.

The right hand row has #8 at the back on day 21 and #9 the whorled mutant in front of it on day 11. #8 was a large seed and it has produced a nice sturdy plant that flowered early and has a short very thick stalk, as thick as #2 and much younger.

A few of the plants are very sturdy and a few are a bit smaller and weaker, but all of them are doing well. So here's a good one for you--the odd numbered seeds were weaker and #5 was lost and #9 was a mutant, and the even numbered seeds are the stronger ones.

These bitches are going to make seeds for me one way or another. I'm spraying several times a day with colloidal silver mild solution and keeping my fingers crossed that some one turns hermie--right now.

Looking sideways into #4 on the right you can see a lot of nice branching down below with a lot of flower clusters forming. I think it's about 8 inches tall and appears very healthy. The internode length on these older plants is about 1" so actually just about perfect to let in some light and still stay small.

Awesome trait, I have never seen that happen

Here's the #2 plant on day 40 and it still has another month or so to pack on some weight. It's interesting to see how the light plays in the closet. The blue led is on the right above this plant and overpowers all the other light and everything on the right hand side looks blue. But on the left in the shadow of the leaves you can see a lot of red coming in from the t5 and the cfls and even the red led. Ordinary non auto plants from seed on day 40 might only have a few hairs starting to show. I'm very happy with these plants.

#9 was the largest seed to sprout and it came out of the ground with a rush and the leaves are about 1.5 inches above the soil. It's not really stretchy because the leaves are stacked, it's just taller than the rest. I'm worried the three sets of leaves will conflict with each other but so far they're growing smoothly.

The leaves/nodes shouldn't interfear with each other, as a bi-fol doesn't. I kinda hope it doesn't grow out of the trait, and it's a she. Tri-fol buds are awsome to look at, some look like a bizzar upside-down u shape.

The only tri-fol i have had in my "own" garden was reffers kodiak gold. She grew out of it by the 7 or 8th node, but you did still get those few extra branches on the lower part of the plant. You can google some other people's tri-fol's that went full term, really cool looking buds.

I bet your hope'n it's a he eh?!

Looking good! Also looks like you could have put another inch or two of soil in that pot.

you have me excited i have 5 of these little babies above soil now three or four days new good luck buddy good job there some beauts

I don't know what's going on but something isn't right. The smallest female #1 has changed drastically. It's day 44 for her and all of her hairs are dried up, like she was ready for harvest. In places just small calyxes show all neatly in a row. Either she's ready on day 44 or she's been pollinated. Also I don't think these plants like the colloidal silver. It seems to shrivel the hairs, even on the stronger plants. The leaves seem fine. Maybe I've ruined it.

Only time will tell what is really happening.

Number seven still hasn't shown any flowers at all as of day 25. It's a bit small so it's just as well to let it grow a bit first, although slow is not a good trait.
