Yes thats exactly where I'm at.

I wonder if the spots are the reason H3ad uses CalMag..

@ 6/9 the levels are slightly low....

Its funny, because in DWC I could go from 6/9 in veg to 8/16 in flowering like NUTHIN...NOT with Coco..

They would just eat what they needed I reckon....plus being constantly submerged in the high salinity probably made the roots more hardy.

Just my thoughts... nice job man...cant wait till my shit fills in a lil more :D

I couldve had a tentfull as well, but I started a perpetual.

Every 2 weeks 4 in, 4 out....

That should calm my appetite! And I should have a canopy in no time

oh the tents not full yet, only halfway.i'm running a perpetual too,i keep them at 4.5 weeks apart.6 more are going in monday.more than 2 crops at a time is a lot of work bro, good luck with it.my spots are from misting them and turning the lights on too quick.i do get a little calcium defiency when they go to flower the first couple weeks but its minor.i give them an 1/8th tsp of epsom salts every feeding in veg to keep the cal/mag ratios in proportion.it minimizes it but i still get it a little.i have been known to sneak a tsp a gallon of cal mag for a feeding or 2 in between the first and second week of flower if it gets bad though.can't say for sure if it helps but it doesn't seem to hurt.

...............The buzz hit hard and fast, but there wasn't any noticeable special flavors or anything....just that good funk smell. ............

I got lucky and the first female that I ran had a strong "grape jam" smell and taste!
I the others so far are the funky smelling pheno with no other aromas present. One of the two large soil pots is the funky pheno, the other is unkown ( I've a taken clone from both, just in case one is special/ or stronger, etc.)
The seedlings are some Nirvana AK-48 and one DNA RockLock (feminized).
I've going with Nirvana at the moment, as I'm still very much a student and they seemed like a good bang for the buck. The RockLock was a freebie.
So far The Nirvana strains have resisted all my attempts at killing them, and even survived my experimental additions to some Bubble buckets! That lesson sucked, but that what it all about!

Well I've got a little more cutting and drilling and I can start wiring up my flip!

Just about done with the layout and rough fitting on my flipper. I need to go to home depot this AM for some light plugs and cord for the timers.
Anyone have any experience with flips? I've noticed some use a third timer to start the ballast after the relay is in to keep the contact from being damaged from arcing. How bad is the arc?
I'll try it without and see, if it's to bad I'll get another timer, not a big deal.

......... I invested in a hanna pH tester. So i can throw those litmus papers away! ...........

I purchased the Hanna Checker about five months ago, it's been good to me so far. I just had to replace the probe a couple of days ago. I can't say I've treated it the best, don't get me wrong I clean it off every time I use it, I didn't get the "storage solution" it recommended, I've been using a little ph 7.01 buffer solution in the cap for storage. I'm not sure if the storage solution would be better, but I've done just fine with the buffers. Speaking of you'll need some 4.01 and some 7.01 buffer solution to calibrate your meter, I do mine every couple of weeks. Usually right before I change out a rez.

Positive thoughts and energy to ALL my brothers and sisters,
MK

i think the problem was a bottle of humboldt roots i bought and some interruptions in the light pattern.the roots stuff says to use in veg and into the 3rd week of flower, when i bought it i dosed everything i had, including those plants which were nearing the 5th week of flower.after that problems showed up and i could never get the ph right again.for everything else i used it on though has gotten lusher and tighter and no ph problems at all.when i had to camoflauge everything because i thought the people were coming to look at the house i had the lights on for a few hours, off for a few, back on for a few then off for 12,thats when my strawberry hermed.it nevers herms on its on but it went nuts,or balls anyway and dusted almost everything.i misted everything down, bought some reverse and cut every 1 off i found but some still got by.damn thats alot of writing,im high as hell right now lol

Thanks for sharing that GPW. I'm sill in between transplants on my first run in coco. I'm amazed at the stuff. I transplanted from an 8oz cup up to a qt container and had roots down to the bottom and all around the sides 3 days later. I just broke the stems yesterday and the plants are all twisted back towards the light already today. Coco makes these clones act like super-plants compared to how they acted in dirt. I'm sold on the stuff and I haven't even flowered in it yet.

Peace and pot :rasta:

A couple of changes to the flip. After applying the KISS principle to it I removed one of the relays and a timer.
Now I have one the turn the ballast on/off and one for the relay on the flip. The ballast will turn off before the relay drops and then back on a min after, that will keep arcing to a min.
Now I've got to hang a hood I just got, and hook it in to the cooling system. I should be able to get those girls running tonight! One skunky flavored Nirvana WW, and a unknown Nirvana WW.

OK, I've gotten my light hung on some yo-yo's and installed into the cooling system. I used to veg in this box, but when I install the cooling for the hoods I put in the vents into all four box's. All I had to do was disconnect one end, put in a new piece and connect to the hood.:rasta:
I've gotten the flipper hooked up, all I have to do now is hook the new light into it. I'll do that tomorrow (as I have to run it through the other box) when the lights are on.
Little mylar, the light hooked up, load in the girls and I should be able to start my soil grow to flowering tomorrow!:dance013: :watchplant: :canabis:

Stellar work MK ! Didn't know we had a electrical wiz in our midsts. :tiphat:

I may have missed it, but what type of set-up are you planning on with the flip? 2 rooms/tents...running off same ballasts at different times? These things have always fascinated me, but I have the electrical talent of a gnat.

Also been interested in the "checkerboard" style of flips where you have 4 or more lights in a room, but only half running for a couple hours, then the other half flips on......

OXOXOX
XOXOXO the X's being lights (not kisses!)

then after 2 hours

XOXOXO
OXOXOX apparently this set-up does very nicely.

Anyhow, have fun and let us know your rates for sub contracting! :thank you:

Morning All! And thanks guys, it's not a problem ( the electricity ) I deal with electricity in my line of work. Though most of that stuff is rated in kVA (kilo Volt Amps) not VA (volt amps).

I've built two 2x4x8 box's in to my closet. At first I veged in one side and flowered in the other. When I added the cooling system for my hoods I added it in there knowing that I would be making a switch soon.
Space and stealth have been a must for my cabs, same for there equipment. The inside cab sounds like the A/C is running, that about it. Carbon filter and no smell. Having just started ( I'm not one to go half way on anything) I've had to make all expansions, additions and new equipment based on the "biggest fish to fry" process, Cause well, you guy's know...this shit ain't cheap!
The flip allows me to expand without having to buy another ballast, though I plan to, so I'll have one on standby in case of a failure. Plus I don't want both running at the sometime to keep the temps in check.

I've read about people using these to make a horizon to horizon system, and also to act as a light mover as in the examples you laid out. Very versatile device, and cheap to boot (nice bang for the buck)!

b.t.w. GE Timers SUCK ASS! I shall be returning 4 today. I've had no problem with them running a ballast or the flipper, just the pumps. The timer will reset it self back to start up programming. I've seen it manually starting and stopping a pump, a small one at that. Then it happen in the cource of running a regular program, and mind you these are new and the batteries are all good. I've been through two doing this and that is enough for me! There all going to be replaced!

MK, nice set up. im fascinated by the Horizon to Horizon set up, would love to have the space to do a big H2H room.......one day.

damn, with all the rave about CoCo and how fast the growth is im tempted to root my clones in coco instead of worm castings. does anyone foresee any issues if i transplant from coco to dirt? i transplanted from dirt to dwc with no probs but the rootmass with coco will be much bigger. im not interested in doing coco the entire run b/c im too much of a slacker when it comes to PH'ing my water and nutes. plus i dont want to buy any more nutes from the grow shop.

gotta love the fla sunshine
