:clock watch:... :witch:...

from uc to bi0zonE to maidrubbers... to min 3^3' before flower...
nice regime for trees...

maybe, like purple grllz, too!
like purple tomatoes?:)

prefer nice spice-bottle trunks before flower. much longer veg, in coco+perlite/hydroton/etc... but ok to wait for bark before make redwood.

diy ladscape fabric bags (~7-8 gal), in huge trough. no run-off ever dumped... 1-x plant;)... 5.0-6.2 ph input (depends). 1.0-3.0 ec (depends on maturity)... gh ferts/amends. fed ~5-10 gal/1-2 day, wand. 2k-3k, bare bulb, vert. 80-88*f day/75-80*f night. ~5+ gal dehumidified/24hr... turbulent+laminar airflow/24hr...

after run 4 gal, 5 gal, diy 7 gal... same cut over/over/etc... maybe get how much exact fert+water need.
maybe next moment, aboandon individual container altogether...

just portable pool/large trough (100+ gal) & mono-crop grllz... maybe max 2 plant/1k...

nice thread:ying:...

would be nice to get down to 1-4.... in 1 big container... encompassing entire room... w/ just enough (12") to maintenance around edge...

Growing large plants....

under 1ks...:)

enjoy your garden!

Great thoughts. I am finding that root depth is important too. Brute makes 55gal cans :whee: and they have cool dollys so you can spin and move them around. Perhaps it is time to upgrade again?

Stoney, I am running too many strains right now but hope to be down to a more select few soon ;)

Headiez, that was 31 days from hitting the veg room. It probably took a few other weeks for it to root through it's net pot and get placed into the veg room. But the Jan 6 photo compared to Feb 14 speak for themselves ;)

Alflud, I have been told by a guy who runs an amazing tequila plantation, that his agave are always harvested at night during the full moon when the plants sugar concentration are their highest. I am not a scientist, but I do know that the moon effects lots of things and fluid level / composition is one of them. Does anyone else have thoughts on this?

Thanks for all the kind words and encouragement. I think I answered all the questions, but as always might have stoner spaced one so ask again ;)

Peace, :joint:

portable pools filled w/ media... or raft culture, w/ 2"+ thick insulation, like member PhilCuisine...
growing outside of phototrons
https://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=157171

they like down, yes... there are maybe 'tree' containers that are more vertical than horizontal...

as side note, after using 4 gal square containers, w/ wick system & 5 gal round buckets, found that plants in square containers grow square-shaped, plants in roud containers grow more spherical... ever notice such?

ran aero buckets many moon ago... seem easy enough for big maid rubber....

but, desire get away from individual containers... just wind up being less room for potential root space.

cheapo kid pool, w/ 7 gal containers (diy landscape fabric, that breathes, & let roots thru), & no run-off work well... drink water by next day... plant(s?) 3x3x3 prior flower...

so... seems can abandon containers altogether.... just fill entire pool (maybe 100+ gal) w/ coco+perlite (or, either/or 100%) & water same amount (5-10 gal/day)...

then there 100 gal root space, for say... 6 grllz:), max... 3k, min...

or... as did aero last cent, simply make spray manifold, leave 4" water on bottom & cover top w/ rigid stryfoam (1 1/2"+ thick)... turn on spray 24/7, & maintain 4" solution of ph-stable gh nutes...

desire for most efficiency... if room on floor area where media/root space can be, why not fill w/ roots? especially if no rush for veg, fruit, etc...

enjoy your garden!

I thought sugar smells bad when it burns?

I only drink the Tequila, and for marijuana I believe the plant turns its sugars into THC and other fun things. Some people say my stuff does smell bad, others say it smells WONDERFUL.

Now that I have a bunch of independent sights my plants will be harvested at least weekly. I'll work on tracking the smoke reports to see if the best tasting plants are closest to the full moon.

Thanks for this info HS. I went and did a little digging and found this interesting article about harvesting and The Moon. It's very true that The Moon has a great influence over many organic things on this planet of ours - guess it's not a wild thing altogether to consider that it might have some effect on plant growth/hormone levels etc etc. If it all adds up to sweeter tasting buds ......... we won't complain :D lol

Tell you what though Hydrosun - that would be about all you could improve on at this wonderful stage man. Talk about coaxing the mother of all yields from your plants!!!! You've got this shit well figured out man. I daresay you've well earned the Master title by now :) I can't wait either to see how these trash cans fare out. I'll be putting a lot of what I've learned from this great thread to use when I get back up and running

More on Vegging

More on Vegging

Well I have to repeat it is veg size not veg time. As you guys know my veg set up is a nine sight 3 x 3 in 25 square feet. Well I try to space the plants out so they can all get some light, but at this point that is just a joke. The three plants on the far right side are 36", runt, 36"
picture.php

You really can't see plant number two in the row (runt) and number three is bigger than the one in the picture. My thought is RUNT may be getting veg time, but she is not getting veg size.

Watching the competition at all stages of growth is really amazing. These plants fight for ever bight of light and space.

Here is my next new favorite she is only 24" but will be moving to the center spot when the 4 big ladies vacate.

Here is another shot of one that will be leaving with my new favorite off to the left.

And here is the big one back left that will be flowering soon.
