People hate on GHS because they make money, jealousy is a helluva thing, dont give me no crap about their morals and ethics, every last one of you GHS haters hate because you are jealous of the money they make. Like a bunch of old ladies in a bingo hall, hating just to hate.

No disrespect to Shanti, DJ Short or any other breeders, I appreciate anyone who is working with this lively plant and trying to advance it. Franco and Arjan included. And that Super Lemon Haze is for sure some great pot that deserved the accolades it received and I dont see it on Mr. Nice's menu, in fact GHS has quite a few strains they dont have now. GHS is a good company and I hope the n00bs that visit this board dont listen to all these haters. The hate definitely isnt warranted. AOMG they make fem seeds!!! They are the devil!! theres always 2 sides to a story thats fo sho - especially in business

this fem hating thing is just a way that some growers think they can act like they're somehow 'proper' or more experienced by saying fems are shit and polluting the gene pool.

the fact is that if you have a clone that you want to produce in seed form, the first thing you should try is Selfing it- i.e. make fem seeds from it. if the cut is relatively true breeding then the S1's will come out very similar to the parents. if it is not true breeding then they wont and you will have to think about back-crossing or another method - but if selfing works then it is the best way - end of story.

and another thing - all this hating on the coloured seeds - ffs its just a way that you can produce a mixed pack of seeds AND allow people to identify the different strains in it. the only other way to do this would be to package them separately and that would make the production costs much higher.

anyway - kudos to all those who have bought their real-life experience to this thread and turned it from an attempt at bashing to an advert for GH. sheesh im not even a big fan of them myself but they are OK with some good and well priced strains and i just cant abide seeing those posters who will do nothing but talk hate without any evidence.

I watched and waited a while back for a year and a half for medicine man to come back in stock ANYWHERE but in the end i gave it up without success..

Great genes are'nt worth a plugged nickel if you cant get them. Why a breeder would offer 15 varieties when they don't have the organizational capacity to keep 2 strains supplied to the market is a puzzle that only the geniuses at mr. nice could answer. I guess theyre busy " vacationing up the coast". No, no wait! They're busy making "special editions".

before "out of stock" Mr.Nice sold stale seeds. i tried some 52 seeds of Medicine Man;
2007: out of 18, 2 sprouted, got lost at the end at guerilla places. they send replacement-
2 packs of Medman, some 35 seeds, which was nice.. But forums were still full of complaints about germination of mrnice strains, so i had a bad feeling about those 2 MM packs. so I went and bought Ghs white widow 5 fems for backup

and guess now: from 30+ medman seeds in 2008, 2 total freaks sprouted, totally deformed, could not even open without help, other were dead seeds..

Ghs widow sprouted 5/5.... and at the end after full nine weeks of flowering od, gave some very strong outdoor dank...


I read description of mrnice medman 10 years ago. and from then i always wanted that strain to grow.. then after those years I finally have beans in hands and then big disappointment..
of course I could go buy ghs white rhino knockoffs, but after this I
lost desire to grow medman/rhino.. hahaha

it's not necessarily that hype will yield you hyper bud.

I only found this thread because I just got GHS King's Kush and GHS cheese as freebies in my last order, and I had never heard of those strains. I don't understand the hating on GHS. I mean, they've never been my specific choice of breeder before, because they tend to be sort of like a "wal Mart" of seed breeders, but their genetics have been showing up in High Times centerfolds since at least the early 90s. They have been in the game since the beginning, so that's going to bring out the haters.

Me, I don't hate. I just choose to give my business to underdogs and lesser known entities. I don't shop at walmart, either, I go to mom n pop stores.

maybe when you will have a seedbank like mr nice you will do better man, you can try....i find its to easy to complain like this, yes it has been a long time they dont have the medecine man in stock but hey there is a lot of others strains as better as this one available at other seedbanks.... mr nice are one of the last seedbank with real breeding pratice, fair price and 18 seeds per packs, you can look at greenhouse version of medecine man : white rhino but honestly i will never give a single cents to them....

Im sorry, i shouldnt have been so negative . I had a bad experience with Mr. Nice seeds. and i feel like the guy beat me out of 115 dollars along with selling me some seeds that were older than dirt. Shanti admitted it was his fault on the old overgrow site, he just never followed thru with his promise to correct the error.

Obviously others have recieved good service rom the company

That is a scary thought, I read a little about 'the terminator gene'. I pray this doesn't happen.

I watched a documentary not long ago about the food industry, Monsanto was selling beans to farmers, I think it was corn (not 100% sure).
The seed had a gene added to it, this gene is held under patent by Monsanto.
So even if you don't buy Monsanto beans from them and run your own beans-(so that you can breed your own year on year-therefore not needing to buy fresh every year)-if your corn gets pollinated by Monsanto stock, then Monsanto can sue you for having their GM gene within yours. This as most people don't have the money to fight the HUGE companies like Monsanto in court, ends with farmers being sued for silly amounts of cash and potentially losing their farms.

This situation arises I'd imagine from companies making heaps of money and buying/lobbying people in power to push through there unimaginable evils on the world. Mother Nature does a fine enough job of evolution and selection on her own.
