I got them a better lamp for the CFL, this should minimize stretch until I've got my ballast all sorted out.

I'm liking the progress... The CMH should be here in a couple days, seems as good a time as any to introduce them to HID.

A bit more stretch than I wanted, but I'll be getting the 400w CMH in there tomorrow, and will be getting a few fans for inside the cab for some inner airflow. If it continues to be a problem I will just transplant deeper than normal, not a big deal. I'm hoping to begin 12/12 by the beginning of next month.

What I'm thinking right now:

Wait until first set of 3 fingered leaves, and then transplant to 4" containers. Continue growing and feeding until 7~ nodes. Top the plants, and remove the lower 3 nodes of branches. This will leave 6 tops for each plant. As soon as they recover, put them into 12/12. When they show sex, they will be transplanted into 7.6" containers. I will be putting 2-3 males per container, depending on how many there end up being.

I've decided on flowering out every one of them. I'm very interested to see how the males look, and if there are any standouts. Can you monitor the trichs on a male the same way as a female? I've seen some pretty resiny males. :chin:

I plan on having lots of seeds  and I'll be saving my favorite male and female for some more specific seed making a grow or two down the line. The male will be revegged and cuts will be taken. The female will get revegged, cuts taken, and then is going to be grown into a tree. A cut of the male will flower at this point as well, to provide fresh pollen. For the female, I'm thinking DWC... :chin:

Just a gratuitous post to subscribe. I'm very interested in the strain. Best of luck with the grow.

Exciting times:biggrin:

Looks like you got the veg well planned out. I think all seedlings stretch like that even under HO lights. Potting those stems will straighten them right out.

Thanks for stopping in guys!

simon - I'm glad to see you've stopped by, I've learned several things from you in the short time I've been back on ICMag. :respect:

SlevinK - I'm planning on this being a good show!

Edit: Man you guys were too fast for me...

Ganja D - It's great... I'm as giddy as I was with my first grow, but I'm much more experienced.

severian - Yeah I wasn't sure what was to be expected. I've been watering them with the mister I bought. The drops that covered the seedlings weighed them all right down to the ground. I figured it would be a good excercise for them to pick themselves up. Seems like they did well. :dunno:

If my revegged keeper pheno of this grow does anywhere near as well as your plants are doing right now I will be ecstatic. That'll be a high yielding run, that's for sure...

Today is their first full day under the 400w CMH. Holy shit that thing is bright...

Anyways, that puts the cabinet about 6 degrees above ambient. Not bad all all, considering my room runs between 65 and 75.

They will be transplanted in 24-48 hours.

Just sitting in my rocking chair and watching the show!
So you are able to run the CHM with a HPS ballast?

electronic ballasts can run both. but magnetic ballasts are either specific to a type of bulb. or are switchable.
