also i pretty much flooded the flowering area and spent about one hour mopping.. while the pots drained.. i forgot to empty the waste water collecting trays..

all fun :D

peace!

I`ve done a couple of bad ones too. once flooded my dining room and once my bedroom, and bed. Both times from flooding the rooms above. Once just 4 hrs before setting off on a long drive to the pyrenees, that was a longer drive after a serious mopping up operation:biggrin:

Always best if possible, especially after watching on iplayer a programme about Bristol police using electricity board helicoptors and heat seeking equipment to locate grows. I`ve never had the right place for it though. Spare bedroom for me.

Hey Bones, I cant find Panela anywhere locally. I`ve managed to get some Natural Molasses unrefined cane sugar, would that be useful until I can get some Panela.

Its soft dark brown sugar, not a treacle like substance.

If its any use, I wonder if you`d know how much I should add to the res, and whether I need to lighten up on any other nutes in the res. I`m just using coco A+B, PK13/14 (actually says NPK 00-17-18 though, despite saying PK13/14 on the label), a zym product, and some Calmax to bring my RO water in line with what Canna design their nutes for (ec2 tap water).

This is the stuff I got, (I can remove the pic if ya dont want the clutter)

Its perfect for baking, but what about flowering:biggrin:

man im sure that will work :D seems to be very un refined :D

I had a look at some of the links from your "panela" thread and was surprised how strong a nute it is, well molasses that is, but if you`re saying panela is more nutritous the same applies. I gather it`s high in 'K', Ca and Mag, along with iron etc.

Having just got things going pretty well after a long battle, as you know, and with me growing in coco its got me worrying about upsetting the Cal/Mag balance I seem to have found, and I`m not sure what the extra 'K' is going to do mixed with PK13/14 and the 'K' that comes in the A+B.

The doses stated on the pages I looked at were for 1tbsp/15gms/mls per gallon, and I know you`re talking about much smaller quantites than that. I`m just a bit worried about upsetting the nute balance for my coco and plants, am I worrying unnecesserily?

I`d like the benefits of some sugars if they`ll enhance flavour and res production etc., obvoiusly though, but do I have to compensate somewhere else in my nutes?

Also from what I read, the unrefined sugar has lost much of the stuff our plants benefit from, in the process of extracting the sugar. The by-product of this sugar making is the molasses, different grades of molasses with 1st,2nd and 3rd extraction of the sugar, the 3rd one being Blackstrap, thought to be the best. (If I`ve understood things properly):whistling:

I dont think the sugar I have has riboflavin, at least its not listed, and I think its lost all the original nutes that sugar cane and molasses have too.

Do you know if panela has strong useable nutes, as the molasses has, concentrated I think, or are you not intending to increase the ec by using panela?

Sorry to turn to you again Bones, but with your expertise in all things coco, I`m hoping that you can put me straight on this. I`m at the start of week 5 of 9 flowering and I dont want to make a horrible mistake with my plants now I`ve got them rocking again, I`m not trying to improve the yield with the panela/molasses, but if I can improve the plants uptake of nutrients, increase plant strength and/or add to the quality of the end result I`d be as chuffed as nun`s ####!

I`ve been giving a low dose of PK13/14 for the last week and dropping the nutrients to account for it. I`m still feeding a bit higher than you tend to, with the exception of the new one you`re trying with the higher nute regime, mine have been drinking at ec1.6 for the past couple of weeks.

Cheers, Toke

jupp now its fixed:booked:
i did one more layer of dimond film in the entrance then i didnt have to go out and buy more plastic.
i have cut the super silver haze x love potion and the ssh x ptk x ssh x lp. they turned out good.
i have put 3 of em to revegg

bonecarver_OG

try with normal blackstrap molasses :D

its should work fine :D

-------

we had today a test smoke session of ssh/ptk x ssh/lp and to sat the least it was quite a devastating session....

we thought we were hammered after going thru some chronic and crippleberry nugs, but the sativa side of the high of the ssh/ptk x ssh/lp jsut added on top...

latelly we have had some minor powedery mildew issues... its easy to happen now when its not that warm, and the humidity here makes droplets between some leafs. i have to harvest some plants as soon as possible to make more air movement in the flowering area... :D its all fine but instead of cutting down more branches i prefeer to harvest 1-2 plants earlier (the chronics are almost done, 1 week left), and spread out the rest...

peace

damn... my flowering area is really full... itsw impossible to see what tip belongs to what plant...

im still waiting for a good oportunity to go in and re-arange the area, but first i need to harvest a few more...

mean while the veg area keeps bushing up..

one revegged plant seems to have decided not to continue living. shame since it was the biggest yielding pheno of the beeniemans. the others were more potent so its still ok. i got 2 of the revegged :D

peace all :D
