germing seeds....

Beautiful!
What do you consider a limit time for seeds to sprout ? or when do you personally give up hope for sprouting? i've had to wait 7 days once ...

Cheers!

im not sure the exact amount of time it takes for the seed to pop but i have seen it in a quick as 2 days myself. getting up there in almost a 2 week time is long time. that is a lost cause then i think but who am i to say.

i just meant pop as in crack open like in between a paper towel. not out of dirt it must of been a misunderstanding. maybe a miscommunication we have that all worked out. lol.... I do the paper towel method myself works good for me. i tried to put the seeds straight in the rapid rooter and i had poor success with that.

?
now if i am catching the condensation from my ac unit can i use that water. the only reason i ask is that is a ph of 7.4 and my tap water is 9.0 before adding anything in. would that harm the plants.

alright here is an update they are finally getting over the claw look from the bushmasters.

? now can i use the condensation from the ac unit as my add water to the buckets. will this be fine :dunno: or will it have a negative effect on my girls. I checked the ph of the condensation and it is as low as 6.0. I think if i can use that with the tap water i am using i will be able to keep the ph down low enough.

I am just glad that i clawing went away and they are bouncing back and they are starting to look how they are suppose to. I thought it was something i was doing wrong until i had read the bushmaster thread. then it all made sense to me. so any knowledge anyone can give i would much appreciate it. i have been learning a lot here and everyday there is something new to learn.

ok so here is the update on what is going on. as you can see they are not stretching and i am glad for that. I think the bushmasters did the job. thank goodness for that. i think i would of ran out of head room if i didnt use it.

:tumbleweed: Its like a ghost town here i have asked a question now over and over again and i still have not gotten a response to it.

my ? is can i use condensation from the ac unit as water for my plants. i know its not much but i think it is suppose to be the purest water if i am not mistaken. anyone have any knowledge of this. and has anyone ever tried using it. :dunno:

AC CONDENSATION.....

AC CONDENSATION.....

ok i found this on the web. it was a site that says you can use ac condensation for your plants. and it is safe.

here is what the quote was that was said.

"If you have an air conditioning unit, you may have noticed that there is a small pipe attached to it that has water draining out of it. The pipe is a drain for A/C condensate. A/C Condensate is water vapor that is pulled from the air by your air conditioner as it works to cool the environment inside your home. This water is mineral free, pure water that, if collected, can be recycled. While A/C condensate is not pleasant to drink, your plants care very little about the flavor of water. Watering your plants with A/C condensate is one way to recycle the water while at the same time saving on the cost of your water bill."

so now if anyone has any knowledge of this i would love to have an answer. i am sure there is someone out there that has done this. so come on fellow icmagers let me in on the insite of my method.

the reason i want to use it is that i have collected almost a full bucket of condensation water from my ac and i ph'd it and it is at 6.0. now that is much better then my tap water that is at 9.0

I've used dehumidifier water before, its the exact same as a/c water. But no one can tell you for sure that it's safe to use from yours. My suggestion is get another small plant 1.50 tomato plant will work and test the water on it. A week using it and you'll have your answer.

Thanks Beatster.....

finally someone says something about what i am asking. that is what i was thinking but you know you dont want to do something that is going to mess anything up. anyone else used this for there plants and nothing happened. i am just trying to be cautious.

so here is an update i just took these about 20 minutes ago. so what do you guys think of what is going on. after using the bushmasters i have not had any stretch. I will have to say i will use that stuff all the time especially if you dont have the height that you would like. :smokeit: i am going to be taking my clones later on tonight when the lights come back on and i will be taking them somewhere else to have them going i just dont have the room for them right now.

now when taking clones because i have never done this myself i have had someone else do it for me. do i need to use any kind of cloning stuff with my rapid rooters. and when you do the clones has anyone ever scraped of a little layer of the stem to promote more root growth. i also heard of people actually splitting the end of the stem to get more root growth. anyones opinion would be much appreciated.

right on opt1c.... that will work for me i just have to pick up some rooting hormone and i will be on my way. I am just glad this run i ended up with all females instead of all males what are the odds of that. all males out of what i had germed. and it was so shitty they looked so good to.

so here is an update not much to see yet but they are starting to bud. they are going to be on there way now. I have to add water to my buckets and as you all know if you have read this thread through my ph is at 9.0. so i have to bubble my water with the nutes over a couple of days so i can get the ph where i want it. now here is another problem i am going to have is that i am about 2 weeks into flower and i am thinking of moving. this is going to be kinda hard with bushes. ive done it before but i didnt have to move 6 bushes. it was only 2 before and i did it inside my vehicle and driving down the road you could smell it. especially i was much further into flower then. I am almost having second thoughts on moving right now. but the house i would be moving to is cheaper and bigger. :dunno:
