Well, as you can see they are doing quite well. I can already see roots poking out the drainage holes...an excellent sign! They are entering into their third week of life today, so we made a few adjustments in the room.
1. Gave a small dose of N today via PBP Grow...I cheated, I know...but I wanted an extremely quick boost in the N level, so it works.
2. Increased humidity and increased intake fan speed and lowered exhaust fan speed, increasing the amount of cooler air entering the cabinet, but still keeping the humidity levels up.
3. They gained a bit of company...but we are just looking at those for now...no need to spill the beans on what the bubbler holds...why ruin the fun? Everyone like a good surprise!!
But as a result of this new company, there is an adjustment I wanted to make, that I am now, not going to make. This is, turning the light down from 24 to 18/6....but oh well...for now.
Already under a full blue spectrum 6500k, but I did lower them from the lights by about 4 inches....
The reason for noting all these points, is that these particular conditions (exception in my case being lighting schedule) are supposedly beneficial for male/female ratios during the 3rd - 4th week of a plants life...so we are dialed in, for the most part...the lights...I know. BUT I MUST ensure those little sticks in the bubbler LIVE...LIVE....LIVE....mmmuuuhahahahhaaaaaa...
Just wanted to let everyone know what these will be getting potted into when they leave these cups for bigger better things...
Base Mix:
7 gal local organic soil
2.5 gal coco-coir
6 gal perlite
4 gal EWC
2 C Dolomite
3 tbsp Dichotomous earth
3 tbsp Epsom salts (?)
Nutrients:
6 2/3 C Mexi guano
10 C Indo guano
1 C Kelp meal
or
1 C Blood
2 C Bone
1 C Kelp
This recipe makes a 20 gallon batch of medium. I am not sure if I want to run guanos or if I want use Blood/Bone at this point and time. I might just very well do both in a side by side....???
well....all they are in now is what I wold call a "yeah, that looks about right" blend of soil, EWC and perlite....hahahaha
I figure the only thing that concerns me at all in the mix is using coco blended with soil... but other people do this with success, so....monkey see, monkey do!!
just go maybe 10 to 20% of your mix maybe, thats how i make my mix,add everything by eye,not too much of any one thing, its sort of a mulligatawny soil blend, really comes alive on the second use i'm finding
This is my base soil that I absolutely LOVE!!! I made the guy at the hydro store mad when I told him I would not pay $20 for a bag of FoxFarm because I had found soil for $2 that I liked just as much. His reply was that it was IMPOSSIBLE....whatever guy....
Well...as you can see they are looking a bit upset and angry at the moment. I'll take full responsibility for it too...I was late on getting the soil cooking, meaning they are late on their transplant. I gave them all a small top dressing of some mexican guano so they would stop eating themselves....but the signs seen on them now, are the result of being root bound and hungry...now probably a touch over-feed....
Transplant is scheduled for Friday...
I also wanted to make note of one particular NL x Chem D....the "tall boy"....well, I am assuming it will be male...but, this plant is also the most sensitive and has the most leaf "shine" or "fuzz"...and seems super funky...so I'm watching it....
And now for a shot of some dying clones.....
Simply haven't had proper temps or humidity levels this time around and not checking them frequently enough...I'll be impressed if they pull through...not all hope is lost though....but, seriously...SHAME ON ME!!!
