I wanna make up some fliers but im busy as shit right now but imma do it later tonight... if anyone else makes one up to distribute and wants to put it up on here ill love you forever haha but if not ill put mine up a lil later tonight so others can just print it out and hand it out ha

The Colorado Drug Investigators Association (CDIA) has taken its website down, but a google cache of their "our sponsors" page includes:
North Face
Glock
Colorado Avalanche (NHL)
Denver Broncos
Starbucks
Sheraton
Enterprise (car rental)
Bubba Gump Shrimp Company (this is a real thing? I thought just from Forrest Gump :) )

Pretty crummy. I agree with an early poster's suggestion that this was (hopefully) probably a local Starbucks' decision to provide coffee for a meeting or something.

Coffee + weed = the best, so this is bad news indeed. As a Starbucks replacement, I suggest Kicking Horse Coffee from BC (so you know they don't mind bud)

Fuck it.
I'm still drinking alcohol.
I'm still shooting my Glock.

I would have to see some real numbers on financial donations to make me change.

And fuck Starbucks, their coffee is shit. I don't drink coffee, but there are plenty of better coffeehouses in Denver. They are probably jealous because they heard there are more dispensaries than Starbucks in Denver.

I don't think that Glock is funding this because stoners don't kill people, and Glock makes money off of killing people.

Glock did this because the Glock 17 and 19 are the most widely used pistols in Law Enforcement in America. If the war on drugs were to end, it would mean downsizing police forces in the Country which probably holds Glock's largest Gov't contract.

:fsu:

Hopefully I can dig up some dirt on HK and Sig Sauer, so I can save a few hundred $$$$..

So Starbucks has already responded, eh.... WE GOT THE POWER, PEOPLE!

Go ahead, Starbucks, shutdown that website (a thousand more will carry the message)...

Go ahead Starbucks, sue the people who posted that, and every media outlet in the country will carry the story of the cannabis boycott of your company!

Free National Advertising for this boycott!

Thanks Starbucks, nothing you do can stop this BOYCOTT train from leavin' the station!

And every action you take against our movement will add thousands more to it!

Let's show the world the power of CANNABIS to CHANGE THE WORLD!!!

The liquor and tobacco industries ARE NEXT if they don't withdraw their support for cannabis prohibition.

We need only target ONE company at a time to make our point. So you can still drink coffee, wine, beer, and smoke your cigs.

Just boycott the selected companies and our message will hit home!

Thanks for the Heads-up.

Friends don;t let friends patronize STARBUCKS>>> As the sticker says....

C'mon, there are countless Coffee Shops besides the dreaded on-every-corner Conglomerate.

I Don;t drink coffee. (Only hand-mixed organic herbal teas) -- My only Stimulant is Chocolate.

Don't Own a handgun. (Am against Gun violence - and don;t need to beat my chest and Bluster - aka can take care of myself)

Don't drink more than once each 2 months. Usually less. When I do, it;s fun... And I love entertaining, but Consuming it robs my Chi-Energy - Some concoctions are fun, but Cheap 'Merkin Beer (esp. ButtWiper) and other Corn-Syrup-Laden products Suck.

So Tired of this Crap... The Lobbying has got to be MATCHED. Let's Do our own.... There are so many of Us...!!

I am considering putting ONE SUPER-STICKY letter-size simple bulletin on each door of the only Starbucks in town - with the words:

STARBUCKS, WITH THE ALCOHOL INDUSTRY LOBBIES AGAINST MEDICAL MARIJUANA

In this area that would definitely make some people turn and walk back to their cars. I am sure the Staff would remove the sticker quickly.. But, who cares.. I could go back and do it again.

Or go in, and leave a piece of paper on maybe two of the tables at a time, to not draw attention so much, and walk out.

How about this... Put a piece of the bulletin paper in each of the newspapers contained in the machine by the front door... Our paper is like 20 pages. It would be seen by everyone.

I am sure I would be arrested for almost any of the above, in this lockdown Cracker town.

starbucks coffee/tea sucks and is overpriced.
glocks are garbage pistols to any one who knows pistols.
alcohol like cannabis can be homemade for those who drink or simply purchased outside the u.s.

I'm on hold with Starbucks for 5 minutes so far...

OK, I had to wait 10 minutes to get in and I had a good talk with their customer rep.

She says the corporation does support Law Enforcement organizations, but usually only with free coffee.

She says individual franchise owners can support local organizations if they choose. She says that was the case here if at all (she still denies anyone did this)

She says Starbucks DOES drug test their employees (at first she wouldn't even answer the question). I asked if they test for cannabis, she refused to answer.

I asked if they found someone using cannabis if they would be fired. She said that would be up to the individual manager to deal with.

She says there is no Starbucks company policy on marijuana use.

She says there is no official response yet to this boycott.

So there you go. I ran out of questions for her...

As I said, I couldn't give a shit if I never touched Starbucks again in my life. Kicking Horse rocks, but so do the Lavazza beans that my employment orders from source. We go through so much that nobody misses a couple pounds here and there. :whistling:

Also, I'll probably never buy a Glock. Not because of this bullshit, but because they only make pistols. Could you imagine hunting with a Glock? It'd be ridiculous. If they made rifles it'd be a different story, I bet they could make a rugged as shit rifle.

The alcohol industry, on the other hand... Well, I don't really drink american wine (The good stuff is overpriced) or beer - Except for Southern Tier's IPAs. Being part of the BC wine industry, I can't say that it'd ever support this bullshit. More than half of the owners/managers I know smoke, and almost every worker smokes. Shit, of the three managers we've had, every one of them spent their 20s making money with guerilla grows in the interior. As for small breweries, I kinda doubt that they're throwing money around for political causes like that.

stasis - I was planning on printing stickers that said something like that. The super cheap postage stickers are impossible to remove.
