SuperThrive VS Thrive Alive B-1 or B-2 in Hydro

Okay, so the last few months, I've experimented with just a few drops of SuperThrive in my nute solution in my buckets. My plants seem to like the stuff, and it seems to help my clones as well. I've heard of other growers only using it during veg, and cutting em off in bloom, which makes sense, cuz my girls don't need hormones in bloom. I wanted to do more research in exactly what SuperThrive was and where it was sourced, of which I could find much, and asking guys at the store didn't help. I was put on to the Thrive Alive brand, B-1 and B-2, where I think the B-1 is supposed to work better, but the B-2 is fully organic and OMRI certified, correct me if I'm wrong. So I got the Thrive Alive B-1 and started using it. I saw that it had the ingredients listed, small amount of NPKs, some trace minerals, and vitamin B1, sound good. But when I poured it out, it was surprisingly dark and thick, and seem to add a bit of an oily layer to the surface of my nute solution. I am worried this might clog up my 5 gal RDWC. The name says Thrive Alive, so is there anything alive in this stuff? Beneficial Bacteria or fungus? I didn't think so, but the consistency made me question it. Should I even be using any of this stuff at all in Hydro? Anyone got any info on these types of vitamin/hormone thrive products, specifically in hydro systems, flood & drain, or deep water culture?

Vit B aids in Cloning, and is helpful after Transplanting. I feed Moms a dose with their food, right before I take cuttings. Use to use SuperThrive.... Now, I like AN's B-52. Yes, I know, AN....lololol...

I do not use it anywhere near as often, or in concentrations that they recommend. But it is richer in more than one or two Vit. B's....

I myself have used all the above items.

Super Thrive is win in my book.

Does exactly what the bottle says it will do, I'll also add I only use 1 ml per 3 gallons.

I use the stuff from seedling to harvest with no problems at all.

thrive-alive b1 is great for soaking rockwool cubes at 10ml/gal... way better than the 2-2-2 flora series soak

+1 on superthrive. its B vits and does contain a rooting hormone, but it does what its supposed to, and works as a PH down too. 1 drop a gal.. $7.99 gets you 2000 gallons worth.. thats money well spent if you ask me. been around 70 years.. that says something to me.

You make me want to puke (on you). superthrive does not effect pH, and cannot be used as a pH down. Its application rate IS 1 drop per gallon though.

I submit that SuperThrive is snake-oil.

i think i used 1ml/gal instead of 1 drop/gal on my aloe

Id say it worked too well. I now only use ST in veg.

Okay, so we've established that ST works, lol. Now how about the competition? Thrive Alive and its supposed OMRI certification?!?!?!

I have used ST and B-52 both for flowering I do not see a difference between the two. I have noticed that on Sour D the buds are more dense when I use ether products vs not using them at all.

I know that ST is more concentrated than B-52 for vitamins and hormones, but does not have the added fertilizers and enzymes that B-52 does. Since I use Prozym It does not matter, and if I need the fert boost I add about a 1ml more of my bloom ferts

Some growers think using it reduces there bud size, but I have had about 10% increase in final weight and denser buds using both products, with out it some buds are more fluffy but less weight.

Also no one has ever said they can taste ether products in the final smoke.

I run a DWC in 5 gal buckets with a water farmer drip kits added to the system. 1000 watt hps.

Uh, take some RO and take a PH reading.. then add a drop of superthrive to it. tell what happens. its called 1-Napthyl acetic acid",
any thing acidic brings down PH. save your puke, bud.
