Gramps-
Fantastic work.
Everything is in motion.
Sit back and just admire your ladies.
Someone I know just sits and meditates with them.
They seem to bring peace to the unsettled mind.

Thanks bro! Much appreciated. Not quite all set into motion just yet, I'm working hard to get to the sitting thing though. ;) Love that shot!

There is a zen like feeling I've learned to embrace. Before I got sick I would have, quite honestly, thought my myself kind of hokey for thinking like this. I'm learning to live it now though. Peace is soothing thing.

:artist:

I got some goodies today! This may be a little treat for y'all.

I went pick up my Sanyo A/C today. After further probing, I found out that the units only come pre-charged for a 25ft run. I was told 33ft the other night. I also remember that the A/C person we initailly had come out here did not put any 410a refrigerant into the unit and I have three runs over 25ft. :noway:

*Sigh* Can't hardly find good work these days ;)

So what are we to do? The 410a presents a problem. Let me start this off by saying, they use it in car A/C's too. I believe (not confirmed) that you can get small cans at Autozone and the like stores.

We like to over engineer everything around here and have lots of extra stuff lying around, so we convinced the guy to give us a 25lb bottle. I do not have certification for this.

I think I hear Uncle Remus squirming around in his seat out there. ;)

I have an economic apparatus available to me that was developed for a legitimate purpose some time ago. It's comes in handy from time to time.

Think.....:chin:

You can go and pick one up, here, at the beach.

Read your training manual, be a nice guy, and it can be like taking candy from baby.

My dad is going to be handling the installation of this. He won't let me do it lol. I couldn't anyway. No I team. GO SAINTS! I'm going to check the Training manual about charging. We have the vacuum to get the air out of the line.

I'll give an unofficial explanation of how it goes in when it's done. It will be from observation and not be taken as certified advice.

Starting to get frosty! Day 47

Gramps, you're smart to get the bottle. I only wish I could pull that off. I bought a new heat pump installed for half the price of the closest bid. I told the guy I wanted the best model he had since the deal was so good. The idiot bought a 3 ton commercial model that typically sits on a roof instead of on the ground. It works just fine but I realized why he installed a commercial type.

Although he said I needed service once every two years to maintain the warranty, he shows up in 14 months hands me a service bill for $325.00. I instantly made the distinction that was more than 4 times what the locals do for residential. Not to mention the fact this goober head has old style threaded connections on his gear that leaked as much or more gas than he serviced.

I actually think the guy thought I was gonna whoop his ass right there on the spot over $325.00. He mumbled something about visiting family in the area and he'd discount part of the fee. I paid it against my better judgment.

I'm gonna see if I can get a tank for my own service jobs. Would save lots of money.

Just a quick thought for you and the community "I have an economic apparatus available to me that was developed for a legitimate purpose".

Let's leave it at this any apparatus available to you is a legitimate apparatus, and growing weed is a legitimate purpose. There are many legitimate purposes in this universe but farming to feed friends and family top that list.

Peace, :joint:

I swear sometimes, it seems everyone is out to rip you off. It's ridiculous. Getting the tank wasn't too bad because we bought the other A/Cs from the same place.

"Hello, my name is SG, I'm thinking about being a distributor for Sanyo products." You can get wholesale prices with seashells ;)

Then I bitched about the lines not being charged and rambled off some good stuff from the training manual. It was really nothing to the guy. He was more worried that he only had the 25lb bottle and nothing smaller.

Just a quick thought for you and the community "I have an economic apparatus available to me that was developed for a legitimate purpose".

Very true my friend and I believe the hour is soon at hand that I'll be able to think like that too. The veil of secrecy that we must operate under is still very dark down here in the Bible Belt. My lexicon is still evidence of that. ;)

New A/C is mounted.

The little ones are in for the big show. They are at 13". I cut some of the bottom stuff off. The other 8 plants would have made the canopy fuller.

Here are the lines being run.

You have to be careful as not to pinch or crimp the lines when running them. It's a lot easier with two people, although the dummy wall makes doing and hiding things very simple.

I'm going to have to pick some beans to pop within the next few days.

Hey stoner I love your work but if those ladies are 13 feet tall I'd hate to run a foul of any of the giants inhabiting the back woods :yoinks:

either one applies. ;)

Got the new A/C installed today and running. This thing rocks.

Now the room is getting close to how I wanted it to be all along. I was able to turn off my band-aid 12k portable and turn off the Vortex fans. It's soooo much quieter in there right now. Security just increased x5 fold. The portable A/C vibrated a lot, which in most circumstances isn't a big deal, but being in the attic you don't want any vibration on the floor.

Here are the flex lines and power connected.

Flaring tools and misc

Air Purging the lines.

The vacuum pump is an industrial pump we've hauled around for 20 years. Also notice the breaker boxes outside the building for the A/C. To code. I'm still going to check the charge on them and add freon. I think the others need a bit.

You can buy A/C vacuum pumps for about $100 online.

Always read the instructions closely

Added another breaker box.

Broke off 120amps for this box. It now runs the new A/C, all of upstairs, and the water heater.

Some shots of the girls two weeks out.

The mini-split is the only way to roll, if you can IMO. I looked at the icebox and I love the engineering behind it, but this is easier for my application. I love it so far.

nice!!!

and nice strain..what strain is that?

and hmm lets just say ill keep you posted with my icebox process :D

Sweet. Can't wait to see that! The strain is G-Bomb from Big Buddha Seeds.

I got tired of messing with the hospital girls. Life's cruel.

I'm going to keep these going until I know what pheno is what. One the girls is really frosty.

I'll be able to hook up my 1000MH.

I have waaaaay more veg light than I need. I want to keep a nice selection of moms around though.

A nice little medicine cabinet if you will.

Looks like you got rid of half the table! :) Those girls look pretty nice, wouldn't hurt them to give them a little pruning of those yellowing leaves, it will only promote more growth and strengthen them up. Also are you topping or training your plants at all? I know it might be some extra work but its well worth it in the long run. Looks good man, you never let me down!

Thanks bud! I'm doing some LST. I've pinched and bent a few stems. I lost a whole bunch of plants lol. The overfert really messed things up at the beginning. The others were too slow to recover. I'm going to rig up some sort of 5x5 square, hanging, support structure too.

I've peaked into Hydrosun's grow and he has some good ideas.

Nice work, SG.:D

Appreciate it DB!

I can't say enough how much I love the new the A/C. I said last night security increased x5. It's more like x100. No more f'ed positive pressure across the system. No smell anywhere in the house or the office. The only slight sound left is the circulation pumps in the rez's from one stop in my bedroom. It's exactly how I envisioned it in the design phase.

I'm going to put rubber mats under the rez's after this run.

I hooked up my emergency exhaust for when I start using gas so I can dump a little at night.

I finally got to unplug that loud portable. It's served it's purpose, it'll be staying close by.

This is a shot of my neighbors 250gal tank.

Mine is the same. I look like exactly like everyone else. You need them out here to run your appliances.

I noticed the humidity got to 60% last night. Without the portable removing water, the A/C isn't going to run enough to pull out all the moisture just yet.

Good thing I bought this dehumidifier.

It has an auto-drain. It will plumbed into the vanity.

Right at nominal and rock steady.

Nice!

No more limping along. The room is rock solid now in all aspects of growing, safety, and security.

The next bit will be getting the gas turned on up to 1500ppm. That will be a little while. I'm going to do a couple of runs in the room and work some problems out of my technique before I make the jump to that.

I'm going to start a G-Bomb grow thread in the grow diaries forum in a little bit.

Some support stuff, my other 4x4, the veg room finished. There's still some stuff to do, but it's getting close, though.

I'm startin' to feel it. :yay:
