Quick Update!

When a few of them limbs fell over one branch had a really bad pinched stem so I cut it off. Luckily, it was one of the smaller branches. I cut it off to do some practice drying and curing with it.

I also searched and found this thread about Quick Drying, did that, and smoked a small bowl out of my smallest pipe.

So this smoke report is from a plant that was only at Day 30 and microwave dried. It got me as high as the infamous street bud....

I'm happy to report I have sort of heavy eyes and more of a body load than I did with the street bud. They have about the same head. Almost none, but a little racy maybe. Although, I have a slight sensation of euphoria that I don't know if I've experienced before. Probably placebo effect. It smelled a lot better than Epic Fail.

I'm not quite so good articulating olfactory sensation. My sense of smell must not be very good. I know why, but I can't go into here, too personal. It's a shame it would make a good story. It's another crazy medical condition I've had all my life that has required some odd 10+ plus surgeries. I lost count a long time ago to be honest lol.

The taste wasn't as bad as I thought and I didn't think it was all that harsh. I could taste the nutes. I know what those taste like and I got a ever so slight headache. Goes to show wtf I've been smoking down here, right.
:tumbleweed:

Overall, I would buy my 33 Day short microwaved dried cut over strain Epic Fail. I am, however, picking up a decent oz tomorrow. That should last until pretty close to harvest. I smoke A LOT.

Oh, I decided I'm going to keep it at 2k until it's legalized here or for at least the foreseeable future. I can comfortably unload that without exposure while maintaining a hard <100 plant count. Anymore and I would be getting greedy.

EDIT: I don't mean to imply if you are running over 2k, you are greedy. I would be getting greedy in my situation because money isn't the issue for me right now. I was essentially forced into this gig because I needed good meds, but it also happens to be a great economic opportunity. The cancer was the best thing that ever happened to me. My approach to growing is all business. Low cost of production, max quality. I'm doing this specifically such that I will have the knowledge to properly blow up warehouse style grows when the time is right. Believe you me, I like to make lots of money. This room isn't the place for it now, for my goals. I feel very comfortable having 2-4lbs on the flower room floor.

Glad ya got a chance to sample the casualty bud. If you ever want some quick dry that tastes and works better than microwave, try active air drying. A piece of vinyl window screen between the moving air and your nugs is all it takes. With ambient room temp air, you'll get relatively dry weed in 48 hours. I use the heated exhaust off the cab (~80*f) and get smoke-able weed in 30 hours. To get it this fast, it helps to cut the buds from the stems and trim off all the sugar leaves.

Removing the almost dry bud from active air will keep it from turning to dust when broken up and allows you to control the last bit of jar drying, improving taste and smell.

Good to know. Thanks bro! I've given too much rep out apparently. K+ anyway.

Sweet! I know I'll probably end up taking a couple tiny buds off 1 week out. I'll have to give that a try.

I get what you are saying, sort of my philosphy too. Its a balance of risk vs reward. Keep the numbers low, and the weight low so that its easy to move, but no so low that if you get busted the time doesnt outweigh the cash brought in.

Learn what you can, set yourself up for the future and make some spending money in the process.

That's exactly what I'm thinking bro. :yappy:

I wanted to show y'all how I move large amounts of water around the room. One problem of being on immunosuppressants for so long after going through a transplant is is you are anemic (low red blood cell count) all the time. Not enough oxygen=weak. It's not so much a problem now since I'm getting better, but this sure makes it easy and safe. I'm going to automate this with a float valve and an emergency 3/4 drain line that will sit in the shower. That way I will always have 20 gals of RO sitting around on the trolley ready to go.

I put 20gal tub on my trolley, pull into the bathroom, turn on the shower knob, and fill 'er up. 100% octane RO rocket fuel, please.

Once, she has filled up I roll over my rez and have this little setup.

This is an $18 500gph Marine bilge pump that you can pick up at Academy. It's 12volts and guarantees that you won't electrocute yourself while doing this. Those are two speaker wires connected to banana plugs. The plugs plug into a $10 converter you can get at Radio Shack. Stick the open end of the hose into the rez, stick the pump in the water, hit the power on the converter. Nice and clean and I don't ever spill any water.

I set up a hospital for my little sick ones. This will be my cloning area in the future.

The other are responding well to cutting back on the EC and watering less. I added some Cal/Mag today ~3mg/gal.

I'm going drop the hospital area EC to about .3-.4 and let them rest. I really nailed them hard with too many nutes and watering in the beginning. I definitely notice that the clones that came out the aerocloner did better. They must have had better root development and were able to better handle the excess nutes too early. I still didn't work all of them up slowly enough. Damn heavy right foot.

We'll check in on them in a couple of days.

Here is a 420 Microscope shot of one of my 33 Day short casualty buds.

I can't wait to see what the real deal is going to look like. :yay:

Everything looks great as usual, Gramps. You have nice tube fixtures. Even the plants in the infirmary don't look that bad. I bet they'll recover in no time.

I don't know if your trolly is dedicated to the res. A pot dolly is convenient and you can adjust some of them according to pot size. The small rollers allow you to slide underneath if needed (if you're lucky.):tumbleweed:

Good idea on the 12v pump. Even your MacGyver stuff is professional. Glad to hear you're health is improving too.

Oh yeah, the macro is very impressive for such a short run. "Real deal", I'd be up for a puff of that right there.:D

Thanks bro! I'm going to see my doctor next week and will start cutting out all my meds!! I've been taking between 120-25 pills/day for the last four years come FEB.

The trolley and the bucket are dedicated to the whole room. I can roll it around and fill up whichever rez I need to and dump then dump in some nutes. Once it's automated I'll have a 20gal bucket I can roll around and do whatever I need to do every morning. It's actually easier to do than it looks in the picture. I was just trying to squeeze everything into the shot.

I'm going to go look for one of those. That'll make it that much easier to maneuver. Thanks buddy!

You're welcome. That's much better than what I saw. The thing I looked at was an adjustable metal cross, wing nutted together with wheels. I've got some casters like that. I might bolt em to a piece of plywood for my 5 gal bucket. Thanks for the pic.

Gramps, are you the "Twisted" in "Twisted Studios"?

Sometimes I wonder, Disco, sometimes I wonder.

;)

The DD is for Digital Design Subwoofers.

I use to sport them in a work truck. (I turned it down in on public streets. Keep the peace, be respectful) They were very loud. On the highway. Oh yeah, I love the sound of correctly produced music. I traded those cement shakers in for some a more Sound Quality orientated setup now. I love music. It was some little project of mine while I was recovering. Lemme tell ya, those subs were twisted lol.

LOL. I love the BASS lol. I actually went out and bought a decibel meter to find out what setting on my radio was 80db. That's about the limit for long term exposure while limiting damage. More than enough for me these days.

But, the DD's were freaking earthquakes. American consumption at it's best. ;) We live and learn what is necessary and what is not lol. Less is more sometimes. They could make it hard to breathe though. 60 hhz sine wave blast can hurt. Aye, the energy around us.

WOW

You musta hit the Lottery or something Gramps

Or you got a hell of a settlement from some industrial or construction accident (I can tell a tradesman from a mile away)

I'd say there's somewhere in the neighborhood of 25k invested in just that attic...Most likely more if you lived here it would probably be triple that...And you're growing for personal "medicine"...With 250 gal propane generators and all...Come on now, are you serious??? (shaking my finger at you)

Either way Uncle Remus gives this a TRIPLE THUMBS UP!!!

HEHE. I'm good at what I do in the "legal" world. I still have my job. My company never laid me off. They kept me on the payroll and I would do little things to keep my mind busy.

There are some farmer/tradesmen genes in me, but nowadays I like to work smarter. Not harder. ;)

Yeah, I guess I'm stretching the word personal a little bit lol. The intent is for me to get the best meds. It just so happens it's a fairly lucrative enterprise. Especially, if you have you some real medicine ;)

Oh, if you think my attic is sweet you should see how I did the rest of the house. It would highly unfortunate if this was all seized, but I'm setting aside "insurance" to cover everything given a total catastrophic loss. I run this like I would any other business.

I'm familiar with sonic pain. Thanks for the 80bd tip. I play bass and my pa is '70s technology. In 2001, I found Fane pro-audio cab plans and built four 15" scoops. Two of the drivers are standard 55hz and two are 28hz super subs. They give chest pains at 10 feet.:faint:
