2k 8 xl Under Current Purple Kush

Well I ve been waiting what seems like forever to get this grow going. Ive had problems with location but now were all settled and ready to grow some purple kush with a couple hempys of frostitute on the side.
I had to down size from the a 12 xl uc to an 8xl do to size of the room. In a few months I will be back on track with the 12 xl and some other interesting shit.
I wont have any pics for about a week. I just am very excited to kick this off so I figured fuck it I'll start the thread now.
Im gonna be growing with dutch masters gold veg and bloom with 2 1k hortilux super hps in magnum xxxl hoods. No a/c here its cold now so thats a bonus.
Im going to be taking fresh cuts this weekend from the pks that I was gifted from a great IC friend. I was down so long I had to gift them to a friend now there coming home to pappa.
I start wiring for the lights and setup tommorow hopefully if all goes well everything will be on a dry run Friday for a couple days.

Thank you for the kind words Im gonna need some good Karma here I ve had a bit of bad luck the last 2 grows but Im expecting to smash that shit this time and Im gonna scrog it out to be 5'x8' hoping for at least 3 lbs. I have height on my side this time with 9' ceilings. Gonna grow some monster bushes.

Very cool brotha! I'm gonna be pulling a chair up for this grow for sure! I just recieved my 8 xl a bit ago and hadn't ripped into it yet. Mine will be going under 3x600 in a 4x8 Homebox. I am eager to see this one What kinda veg time will you be rockin? You gonna be using the HPS for veg? Happy Growing, sending some good vibes your way

BG! Great news that you are back in action. I recently had some root issues and found that my plants were sitting too low in the net pots and the stems were mooshing as the roots roted. Rapid Rooters for all clones is my rule now. If they have roots through a RR and are at the top lip of the net pot I will never have that issue again.

Hey guys suiting up right now to go get set up and Im pumped up all Ive been smoking is crap mid grades I can not pay the prices for the top shelf because I dont believe its that top shelf around here and that sucks (for now).

I was putting the clone in the hydroton pretty deep Ive had root issues the last 2 grows and I was thinking I had some kind of pathogen but who knows. You say rapid rooters Ive never used them how long they take to root. Im taking the main tops for clones and I want to make sure they blo up.

Nice to have everybody and Im gonna make this grow my very best and I cant wait to see these pks do there thing.

Rapid rooters are they way to go in hydro, been using them for over 3 years with no root issues. My cuttings root through the RR in about 7-10 days. Jah bless

Thanks guys I think Im gonna give the rapid rooters a try. Anything I should know about these things befor I give em a try. I cant afford to have the clones die.

Im looking for opinions on a different rig Im gonna try out as well. Im gonna use my 3x6 botanicare tray as a rswc and Im gonna hang 3 lights over it on a mover. I just cant decide what lights Im gonna use. I have 2 400 watt mh and a 600 hps and I have 1 400 watt hps. What Im thinking is running the 2 mh on the ends and the 600 hps in the middle or I could buy another 400 hps and use 2 cmh on the ends instead of the mh. They will all be on the mover in some cheap as hoods. So what would you think would work better 2 mh or 2 cmh.

Soaking the plugs for a few hours in ph adjusted water with a good dose of liquid karma will promote some robust growth out of your rapid rooters, make sure they are not soaking though.. just moist. I'm stoked to see this thing get going. 6 week veg should be insaaaaane.

Oh no Im gonna run both. The uc gets the pk and the tray is gonna get the frostitute if I can get em to root fast enough them pks root fast as shit. I may only need 4 weeks veg who knows once there 3 ft around about 3 ft tall Im gonna flip em. As for the tray Im gonna scrog em at 1 ft have 12 little bushes I should be able to get a decent yield in the tray. I just aint sure if to use the mh or get cmh.
As for today I got everything all wired up for the room tomorrow I will do the finishing touches and do a good cleaning of the room and hit the uc with some physon 20 then I will just be waiting for roots.

Nice brotha, variety is the spice of life. As far as your exisiting equipment I would rock the 600 hps in the middle with the 400 mh's on the sides. I ran a MH 400 for a entire run last time just messing around on a side project and actually got some really tight compacted nugs. I would imagine you would be able to pull around 2-2.5#s give or take in your tray. Glad to hear everything is going well around your way.

Oh that 12XL uc gro you had goin was an inspiration to me,was thinkin, and I have 2 4x4x6.5 tents which would 4 of those tubs right? I'm ponderin of gettin an 8XL and punchin holes in the tents for the pipes to go thru and having the master res outside one of em,and haven 1k ballast flipflop the 2 tents while all the plants are on one res, what ya think?

Nice to have ya greenthumb. I would definetly put the epicenter outside the tent. The 4 tubs would kick some ass in them tents I say go for it.
Turbo I think thats what Im gonna do I already have the equiptment maybe for shits I might go 1 400 mh 1 600 hps and 1 400 cmh get a entire different spectrum just to see the difference. Whats gonna kick ass is Im gonna put the lights real close and put em on the light rail I think these budz will be pretty wicked with 3 spectrums.
Well off to work I'll have the UC room done today and hoping to get in a couple day dry run to make sure the room is dialed.

I started running 30 ml's of Dutch Master Zone to 50 gal's of nute solution and all my mildew, bacteria, leaf yellowing has all but vanished. It only takes a very small amount. Even the leafs that were a light green have started to darken up, I never, before now, have seen a leaf repair it self. Unless my results change I will be running it as a precautionary measure from now on. Although my results have been great, there is still some testing to be done. Karma, One Love

Simple question for anybody who care to help. Im gonna be running a 8 inch canfan thru filter then thru the lights. Im curious to see how other people would run it. I always go filter fan lights out the room. Does anybody think it would work better to go filter lights fan out the room? Simple question I know both will work I just was wondering of option 2 would work better because I never tried it.

I have My 1k tent hooked up,filter to 6" axial fan to cooltube out, on 24/7 works great,hev tried filter to hood to fan out works either way for me don't see why it wouldn't work any way,I just set up according to space and config of room.

Lol I just got home and I forgot to hook my cooltubes fan back up after cleaning it,I'm a tard to the 3rd power!! My bloom tents been on since 5am without any filter or cooling action, my hydro tubs rez got up to 90 I'm worried!! Added cold water brought it down to 70 or so but ya think I'll be ok?
