thanks for answering my questions, just a few more if you dont mind; Are you having trouble with the bulbs lighting with the cord so far from the ballast? Also are you going to stake or trellis them or just leave them when they start getting fat? thanks

:coffee: perfect thread to start the morning. Keep this one going. How much watts are you running total in lighting ? Love to see those US styly grows, as i am used to seeing hunders of plants under 600's. cramped together.

This reminds me of that $1.75 million grow that marc emery took lisa ling to on that nat geo special. 5 gallon custom drip bucket. vegged to 5 feet and then flowered. low plant numbers, but 10 ft tall, 1-2 lbs per plant. dude runs 4 rooms, pulls 50 something lbs a month.

I hope everyone had a good Christmas!

Yeah more bulbs than plants! Love it. They will fill those 5 gal buckets and that warehouse! Shark and a skunk with no odor control must be quite potent in there when full. Venting outside. Without getting to personal please explain the lack of odor control. Curious is all. Thanks again for sharing. Makes me smile:)
Keep it up and keep us posted
We have carbon filters and ozone on the exhaust but it was never really able to keep up with the smell so we said fuck it. We are far from civilization.

Interesting that the 5 gallon is enough root mass for as large as the plants can be. How do you prevent branches from falling into the light?

I thought about a setup like this, but just couldn't get over the logistics of managing the plants if the bulbs were hung like that.... what about if I need to spray fungicide or pesticide?

:thanks:
Actually the plants could use a larger container which we usually use.

In this room the ballasts are above the lamps. The lamp cords are only 10-12ft.
In other rooms we run remote ballasts with 50-80ft lamp cords but we need to use special remote ignitors. We found that remote ignitors made for 50ft lamp cords will work up to 80 ft.
The branches have to be supported somehow or they will break off.

This room has 42 or 46kw of light.

There are 4 reservoirs for this room but you can see only 3. Those garbage bins are for RO water.

Sick grow dude, but yea, too far apart in my opinion. I'm actually building a warehouse myself with RDWC in 5-gal buckets, running 24k. We are urban, so odor control is a must! Thought about vegging em that big, but we are cramming a lot more in less space, so only 6-8 weeks of veg (3 footers or so). Looking forward to how yours turns out, check ours out while your at it!

Also, if you guys are running 1000w bulbs, at 600v, your only pulling 1 amp per light? How does one even begin to do this? I don't think my electrician knows how to do this!

Nice and simple. Very clean set up. For something so large, you have really gotten it down to just the bare bones while still keeping it very effective and efficient. You must have some decent outside conditions (humidity/temp) to be able to control your environment by just venting.

Just a thought: since your running a easily moved drip bucket system, why not condense your plants for now under less lights? Then as they grow, start spacing them out more and more, turning on more lights as needed. It would cut your bill a lot, and still give you the same growth (since your not allowing them to get bunched together and stretch or be deprived light). Basically close up those gaps for now and turn off like a third of your lights.

Now granted on this scale it might not be worth the hassle to save the cash if you have to put a lot of work into doing that.
