Round 2
.....the show must go on!

That’s right IC the show must go on, and this round will be an even better show!

Currently in the buckets:

Serious Seeds ak-47

Plants: 1, 3, 8, 10, 11

5 females made it to the next stage of selection out of 7. As mentioned before the initial soil run was to find any hermies and rule out any genetics I am defiantly not interested in. I have 5 clones of each in, except #1 only has 4. Just by the smoking I have been doing I am guessing the mother will be either 8, 10, or 11. Right now I am leaning #10. I will put dry nug shots up of each soon.

Phenotypes:

3, 8, 10 are all similar, 8 being the most compact, 10 having the best bag appeal out of the three, although 8 is very close, and 3 is a mix of the two.

11 is a shorter plant, with the largest yield potential I believe. Good smoke she’s just a tad slower than the other 3.

1 is the fastest, but doesn’t have the bag appeal the others have.

Can't wait to have my lady selected from this seed batch and momed out for a mono crop. Won't take me long to get sick of running multiple strains and phenotypes.

Apparently I have been real lucky with female/male ratios with seeds. I got 7f/11 with the ss-ak, and I got 5f/9 with Chimera's Schanzzleberry#2, I accidentally killed a seed before it broke soil :( So off to the side will be 5 schnazzleberry #2 girls, to once again eliminate any unworthy genetics from a test run in the rdwc.

Schnazzleberry # 2 is a cross of (Blue Domino X Shishkaberry) x DJ's Blueberry Males including M130

I can tell totally that there is blueberry genetics in a couple of phenos, crinkly ass leaves. To be honest I wouldn't have purchased this strain if I had known it was crossed with blueberry, I thought it was just Blue Domino X Shishkaberry when ordering and cracking seeds. Blueberry is great medicinal wise but so finicky and doesn't suit my aggressive approach.

Having the schnazzleberry out of my make shift temporary veg room is good news though, tomorrow BOG's Sour Bubble is getting cracked, and possibly 5 PPP or 4 random seeds from the TNT mix. Kind of exciting not knowing what is in the TNT mix, could be anything. Chimeras Mental Floss will be next in line after the bubble.

The ss-ak is one week into veg in the buckets, because I pre vegged in the bubble cloner and had fat ass roots, stalks, topped and recovered clones they have taken right off! Dry nug shots coming soon, and an initial update of the little girls. Flower will be popping off in about 2 weeks.

Had fun sharing with everyone the first time around, and I appreciate all the positive feedback. Strap in and hold on tight going to be a ride.

Quick update!

7/10 sour bubbles have popped and have been transplanted to their new home. Out of the remaining 3, 2 have cracked, just waiting on some tails to show. The one that hasn't cracked I was intially worried about, its is like nice and phat, but real long lol, just a strange looking seed. Will keep my hopes up on all 10 popping. Also I switched over from soil to pro-mix again. Not really sure why I used all that soil for moms and seeds, I always hated it. Maybe because it was leftover in a bin and ready.

Biggreen-dude this was my first harvest since early spring so believe me I know how you feel. Soon as I had roots in the ground my I was a much happier person. Thanks for sticking around and for the compliment on the trim video.

R32T- I did not post the final results, I would rather not have that information out there since I am a legal caregiver. Lets just say it was not what I was hoping for, and I am realistic with my estimates. Pretty much because I rushed veg and installed my clones 3 different times, meaning the bulk of my clones got the least amount of veg time. I had never flowered plants so small, even my medium sized plants were tiny to what I am used to. Stick around for this round and I will show you what I am talking about :) For your guess, 2-4 ounces is fairly common out of these buckets dependent on everything. Also, there is a link to my intial round 2 post on my very first post of the thread.

Dr.Dank-thanks man, and no problem any questions you have I am glad to answer. I love the lucas formula, I have evolved a bit but it is a GREAT starting point. It doesn't get any easier and the quality of the nutrients IMO is top notch.

Daemos- Hell yeah man snag them up! Glad to have everyone sticking around, being legal and all this show should run longer then "Friends", and its only going to get better each and everytime. Lots of changes in the future planned, and already looking forward to my next build, that will be able to support a full patient roster.

ps, dirt definitly has its place, i mean no disrespect, but cleanliness, efficiency and quality and yield are most balanced in water, ask nasa or isreal haha, d

eyebrows86, you won't regret it!

Dmt-Thanks! Hydro is no joke , the rate of growth is insane compared to soil.

As promised I have a couple dry nug shots, this shot happens to be white lightning. Also a few shots of the serious AK veg, think they are on day 10 or 11 from the cloner. Roots are doing great so thats a good sign. Bumped them to 600ppm tonight and they should explode.

Grow looks amazing!

Quick question, what are you using for return lines with the 1/2" feed lines? Im setting up a 16 site Blaze type RDWC and would like to eliminate leaks as best as possible. I'm thinking of going with a 3/8" or 1/2" feed as well.

Thanks!!

I am using 3/4", each bucket has a 1/2" shutoff valve on the feedline, so I can decrease/increase pressure as I chose. I did this to be able to control bucket levels throughout the long rows. Basically I hand tune the system, its like putting blazes buckets on a dyno. I would never go back to puncturing holes in a 1/2" feedline. Thanks for the compliment

Pk,

I 100% agree with you there, putting taps on the feed lines surely does work wonders.
i've also put on a tap on my feed line in the controller, i'm also using the same sized lines 13mm feed and 19mm for return.

pump to chiller, from chiller to feedline with tap to adjust flow. (as in photo)

its flowing at around 400gph. the tanks change out very quick, i'm guessing the same as yours?
takes about 2-3 seconds to fill up half a 1L/.28gal

i'm only using 4 buckets however, cant wait to go larger.

How long do you usually veg for?
