"Ashamed to put this up" That's ridiculous. This is excellent. Your grow looks great. I noticed my blue streaks look like yours when they got larger. This is one of the true values of autos. Fast small concealable grows. Not everyone or not even most people have room to grow massive 120 day hazes.

Dude, well said and thank you. I couldnt say it better, and that is why I am here. These little gems have the power to help millions....:joint:

Thats a lotta light, in a small space....

Day 43 from seed on the oldest, day 28 for the other.

The rap has been that LED cannot grow bud....:nanana: Looks like they can. I look forward to seeing what an unseeded bud does.

Hey Cyber Echo

Do you have enough experience with LST and autos to predict what kinda spacing? I gues its strain dependant, but it would be helpful to know how much lateral space you gotta leave to do this, so you can plan your grow. Gues ya just gotta do it, and keep your observations. So far, #1's stayin within the bounds of her 2 gal pot, and may reamain there.

Girl #2 will be moved up to a 2 gal tomorrow. I dont like the wilt I see in the leaves at the bud tips, and wanna get more root mass to supply this voracious growth. She looks great after a 4 hr nap, but boy these plants work hard under the LEDs. I suspect they will be working even harder with the 63 on top of the 126.

I wanna see just how hard they can work.:whip:

Update

Update

Ok, when we last saw the oldest 2 BS girls, the 63 and 126 LEDs were within 8" of the canopy. Within 36 hours, some minor bleaching began to show up on some of the foliage

picture.php

So, I pulled the lights up to 12" from the canopy, and the bleaching has not gotten any worse. This seems to be a pretty comfortable distance for the girls, and none of the initial wilt in the upper foliage is evident

picture.php

So, the oldest gal is now at 51 days, and dropped out her first seed. I havent looked at the trics yet, but I cannot imagine she is near done at this point. She is continuing to add bud, with fresh, pink/white new pistils emerging daily. If I had to estimate yield so far, I would say 1/2 o +, but she still has time, and she is makin some beautiful seeds

Girl 2 is lookin real good, and is enjoying her new 2 gallon pot. Still showing some indications of defficiency in the new growth, but I am hesitant to juice her up anymore. Hopefully the new pot and larger root mass will eliminate...but it does not appear to be of significance. Here she is just after rearranging the tie downs, and tucking under some of the fans to clear buds. Love the color of the petioles, it is almost an electric purple.

The two baby bluestreaks are doing well, although the one appears to be the 'micro' pheno. Nothing was done to it to cause this stunting, so we will see what happens.

Finally, the aak x nyc diesel, 7 of 10 have germed and appear to be out of the woods. Giant pain in the ass to get em up. I seeded directly into the beer cups, and placed on a seed mat, in a 78 degree F room. 4 of 10 emerged within 36 hours. All of the rest had to be pulled out and the seed coats manually cracked with some tweezers. 3 more emerged after this, with 2 requiring additional surgery to remove the tightly clinging membrane. Scuffing prior to sewing would be advisable on this strain.

A final word on the 'plug and play' nature of the LED. this is 189 watts , and I am completely comfortable with the setup (aint pretty to look at though)

I hope everyone had a great holiday, and an even better weekend. :deadxmas:

chyna..nice pics man ur little girl is fatten up nice i see..are they smelling sweet?

Indeed, they are pretty. You will enjoy your bluestreaks man, fun little plant to grow. The smell...I cannot fully describe it. Cant say that at any point I have smelled berries, but the smell has evolved from skunky fruit to now more fruit...and other things. :deadxmas:

Dang man,
Didnt see ur post on the 25th.
Havn't been hanging around much lately,
Was kinda busy.
Got married yesterday. (whee !)

Anyway,
I usually LST to have the main steam curl around the pot.
I used bigger pots though, you cant curl em around urs.
LST plants tend to get bigger (naturally). Imho,
If you do LST make sure theres enough ambient light cuz pretty soon enough they'll form a cannopy.
What I usually do is place some low watt warmlight CFL under the cannopy to make sure every leaf on the plant is "lit up".

Okay, so from my experience, as long as you can fit the pots in ur cab, u can fit the plants if u LST.
Sure, it might get a bit bushier than u expected in there. But its all good when you get the yield.
Just make sure everything gets the light.
Also, dont just LST the main stem, I train all the plant to pull each stem into optimum position.
Be sure to give ur plants a GOOOOOD watering a while before you train.

Harvest time is hard to say...I suspect another 10 days or so. The calyxes are thinning out, and becoming tissue papery, and I checked the trics yesterday, 95% cloudy, 5% amber. I am going to harvest based on seed ripeness, since the trics are about where I like them to be for daytime bud.

I started out with the intention of using ICC's method, but it just does not work for me. I put most of my nutes and ammendments in the soil, and have been spoon feeding with a soluble fertilizer. It is how I have always done it, I am comfortable with it, and I feel like I have more control. There was just too much new here for me, with the new lights and new strain, that I had to at least have something that i was comfortable with.

I hope you get your problems straightened out dude, and I look forward to seeing your grow. :deadxmas:

Well Hey, congratulations man! I hope that you are enjoying your honeymoon and fucking like rabbits:snowkiss:. Thanks for the tips on the LST, this is the first time I have played with it. I think LED's almost demand some form of LST or SCROG. What I have noticed in the limited time I have been using these lights is that the light has a pretty limited 'sweet spot'. Keeping as much of the canopy in this sweet spot as is possible seems to make a difference. Now the question becomes, what is the most productive method in my set up: SOG or heavy LST. Hmmm:chin:, this may call for more testing...:xmasnut: Once the ak x diesel seed run is done, and the sour 60 seed run, we will just have to find out

Grow in a circular fashion then.

This is my first look at a LED grow that is standing up to expectations before i would proceed with this form of lighting. The ability to plant the light anywhere and easily seems attractive.

Growth does not seem to be stunted or limited by the use of specific wavelengths and they look healthy.

Indeed these lights are meeting my expectations, if not exceeding them...I took a risk in getting them, but I did a lot of research, and the claims of this manufacturer appear to be true. They certainly can grow bud, and grow it well. There are reports of increased potency too...we shall see. I certainly hope so. The only issue that I am struggling with a bit are temps...low temps. I will have to add a heat source to my grow space here soon. The aak x diesels are slow in their development due to low temps. I may just add more plants to the space, and put in a bunch of cfl's to add some more heat.

It is becoming more clear to me every day that LED's are a great option for stealth grows, if not the best. The only two questions in my mind left to answer are potency of the final product, and true lifespan of the lights.

I am so excited about my new seed order that i finally got straightened out and placed yesterday, that I have to share it with someone...from the Bay: Mish Mash, Esbe's Danish Gold, Ace's Congo, and FLT's c99 ( I hope this one wasnt a waste, but for $35, I dont think you can lose) From the bay: Sour 60, Magus' Biddys Sister, BOG's Blue Moon Rocks, and finaly DP Blueberry ( ive run DJ BB before, but not DP's, sounds equally as good though. I just could not lay out the bills for DJ short gear right now). Bluestreak x BMR anyone? Everything but the BMR and BB is going outside next season. I will run the BMR and BB indoor during the outdoor season, while the HID in the sky grows my auto meds. Its gonna be a great year.:woohoo:

quick update, not much has changed other than the color is really begining to show on girl #1

I harvested a little nugget like this today for testing purpses :smoke: and it contained 4 large, dark seeds.

picture.php

She is still adding weight, slowly, so she will continue untill I run out of bud, which may be another 10 days. At least the seeds are ready, which is of primary imprtance.

Girl #2 is really bulking up, and you can really tell the difference between her and the fully seeded girl 1. Trics are starting to pile up as well, and some color is begining to show. This one does not smell like the other girl...I mean she releases no odor at all unless disturbed. When she does smell it is the same great smell as #1. Girl1 stinks all the time, and only intensifies when touched.

aAK x Diesels and the baby bluestreaks are all doin great, and recieved their first nutes...a little slow due to low temps, but i would rather have this problem than the other extreme. No sex yet, but will be in the next few days.

Since my latest seed order was split between the boo and the bay, (did I tell you how excited I am for even more new genes?)I am sure i will recieve my boo order first, sooo...looks like Sour 60 is up next!!! :headbangeI think I could fit 3 maybe 4 sour 60 girls under the lights, along with the ak's. :deadxmas:

Harvest Time!

Harvest Time!

Well, in the 20+ years since I grew my first bagseed in the woods, I have never seen anything like this. Girl #1 was showing a lot of yellow in the fans, which popped up overnight. I checked the trics thoroughly, and %50+ Amber, the rest milky, and seeds are all ripe....at 56 days from breaking the soil. Crazy. I moved her out from the lights for the next 24 - 36 hours, and then she will be chopped. Wow. I have the feeling I am doing something wrong, but everything says She's done. The 4 seeds I pulled from her over the weekend have been drying on the pc fan atop the 126 LED, and will be put to germ later today. Cant wait till my new seed order arrives...Sour 60 may just be Sour 55 under LED.:deadxmas:
