I have an A+, MCSE, CCNA, Security+, and a CEH plus all of the little ones like Exchange and Sharepoint. I have a lot of the Microsoft certs but I'm mostly a Linux/Unix guy and my specialty is security (pen testing). I do contract only at this point. I haven't been able to find anything thats salary that will pay an acceptable amount for the position. I would like to say that IT is stronger than other industries but it's not looking that way right now. The average salary of a jr. sys admin is going down. Kelly is right about the security clearance. Having any clearance will help you out. I have seen companies hire people that don't know how to turn a computer on and pay for their MCSE just because they had a clearance from the military. I got my CEH from remote exploit and that counts for a lot more than a clearance to most companies. Things seem to be... not so easy as far as jobs are concerned though. Lot's of guys with an A+ and an MCP are not finding anything better than geek squad. I think we are better than cali as far as IT goes but not by much.

orpanic- I think I understand. When you say 15% runoff that means to pour 115% of the volume of the grow media into the pot and let it drain off. That makes a lot more sense.

Not Enough Humidity?

Not Enough Humidity?

Hey all-
LOVE the CO folk stickin together! I have a question about humidity in my setup. I live up in the mountains, about 9,000 feet.
1) Humidity in the room is only 20-30% Do I need to add a humidifier to add more? And is more humidity necessary?
Thanks and I'll put some pics up also.

Lots of us are trying to do the grow for a living thing. Right now I'm working full time and gardening full time. Comcast and Qwest are the two biggest telecom companies here. Look on monster.com or dice.com and look for something ahead of time. Our unemployment rate is fairly high here. Good luck. Hopefully the laws will be more clear by the time you get here and that will make it easier to start.

About that humidity - If you work on getting a fuller room - the humidity will rise.
Little ones and clones can be a problem initially with the low rH, but once aclimated - it gets easier.

A humidifier can help - a little,, but my best answer is more plants -
It's a win-win! lol

Some dispensaries are getting things that they don't know what they are or the grower will not disclose it and so they just give them a name. I have also seen a dispensary (the one I used to exclusively go to) take a bunch of the same bud (like train wreck) and sort it into grades like headies, regualars, pretendies, and shake. Then they label the headies plane wreck the regulars train wreck the preendies ship wreck, and the shake goes into their mixed or "rainbow" joints. I have also seen other growers order seeds and sprout them knowing full well what they are (afghan) and then call it something else like "rocky mountain high". This relabeling of things is all a marketing thing and I think its a disgrace. :noway: I would love to see NEW strains created here and it would be awesome if CO was known for their quality bud but taking one strain and calling it something else seems to be the only thing I have seen. Has anyone else seen this kinda thing going on? Dang this was a downer post it makes me want to build a breeding facility. Some day...

Hello,
