Help Needed ASAP!!!! Freezing Temps, Rain, Possible SNOW Tonite

My girl is outside at about 43deg N. She's started flowering late, it's been exactly 7 weeks since I've seen the first hairs.. I planned for 8 weeks of budding and harvest on Halloween, but my plant is in serious danger right now!!

It's been freezing all day with a few raindrops here and their, mid 30's and windy.. It recently started raining more freezing rain, and the weather guys are saying that temps will drop to low 30's tonite (even lower wind-chill) and their is a chance of small SNOW flurries!! Should I harvest now??

I need advice ASAP - if I harvest tonite I need to do it like right now before dark.. And it's raining, cold, windy, and very wet outside so what should I do if I do harvest?? I've been flushing for exactly 7 days, and the buds/plant overall have pretty much stopped growing or adding weight/frost since than.. I'm risking alot if I don't harvest but don't know if she could survive this weather.. Help appreciated!! :violin:

Ok so here's the forecast for the next 10days if that can help you guys help me out.. I'm afraid that the early harvest and chop during rain will have negative effects. But if i'm gonna harvest I need to do it within the next half hour before it's completely dark outside.. Should I chop her now or no??

Well it did snow the other nite and I haven't had time to get out and chop her.. It's suppose to warm up a bit though. I'll probably still do it tommorow morning. EM, got any facts to back that up? Seems to make sense.. Any does anybody else have any advice for my harvest? Hopefully a few days of cold won't hurt. I'm hoping the chrystals are maturing a bit. Thanks in advance!! :rasta:

got back awhile ago.. the cold/snow/wind/darkness/rain actually helped my buds mature a bit!! most of the hairs have finally turned orange and i can tell that the buds fattened up a bit, maybe even a bit more frost :D

so i decided to hold off on the harvest until i figure out the best time.. its suppose to warm up witha bit of sun today and tommorow but than rain/cold starting saturday until at least wednesday.. so i might harvest before the rains saturday, or maybe even let her go til her planned harvest date. what do you guys think??

a deer stepped on a branch so a few buds were laying there on the ground, so they're trimmed and drying right now.. ill try the smoke in a few days when its dry to help me understand how mature my buds are.. there was a bit of water on the buds when i checked them, but im not too worried..

Ok so I have 2 options.. I can harvest tonite at midnight right before the rains start and risk an early harvest, or I can wait a few days or possibly til my planned harvest (Oct. 30) and risk the freezing rain/cold for the next week and cutting her down all wet.. Can anybody pleaseee tell me their opinion on what they would do in my situation?? I reallllly need the help, one sentence replies would be great!! :joint:

Feedback please!

you think so? thank you so much for the advice, thats all i really needed right there^^. :D
... anybody else agree/disagree with MildeStoner?

i was thinking about putting a plastic grocery bag over the buds to keep them warm and protect from the rain we'll be getting for the next week straight.. but if you think its the best idea, ill cut them tonite at midnight right before the rain comes!!

well it started raining early and i didnt get a chance to cut her down.. but i just checked the hour-by-hour weather forecast and it said that the sun will come out around 4pm tommorow and it wont rain again until sunday afternoon/night.. so harvest has been rescheduled agian until sunday morning!! thanks to those who helped, advice still appreciated :rasta:

and for now, i have a couple buds almost dry from a branch that a deer stepped on and broke off.. found it laying on the ground the other day. it should give me a good idea of how mature my buds are

if you chop after rain your going to get mold.
You should of chopped already in my opinion
if worst comes to worst just make hash

Thanks for the advice Rudolph but this strain seams to be pretty mold resistant and the buds never got really chunky so I wasn't worried and I kept a close eye on her.. So I held off a bit on harvest but harvested the smaller buds yesterday morning and the larger ones this afternoon (I was going to wait longer on the bigger buds but the ground was flooded where she was growing and more cold/rain/snow is coming so I decided to chop). The buds are all trimmed and hanging/drying now and looking good!! I'll probably get only about 3grams dry but it will be good grape/candy smelling sticky bright purple shit!! Thanks for your help guys, see my other thread in growers forum :joint:
