The Health and Human Services Committee of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives will be holding a hearing on H.B. 1393 that would create a legal medical marijuana system within Pennsylvania. The bill is sponsored by Rep. Mark Cohen, D-Phila.

Date: Wednesday, Dec. 2, 2009
Time: 11 a.m.
Place: House Majority Caucus Room (Room 140)
Main Capitol Building
Harrisburg, Pa.

The committee has invited experts to testify and expects a full hearing schedule. Although this is a large hearing room by Capitol standards, seating is limited. People may submit written comments on the bill to:

Probably will head out with a few of my buddie's to support this on the 2nd. Just to clarify though, am I able to be present in the court room (Or whatever room it's held in) without giving testimony?

Is there a common gathering spot prior to hearing.....I will be bringing my lazy ass to support the cause...hell it at the very least preserves my right to bitch about the current laws!!!!

Been watching it live for about an hour...

Clearly the naysayers are simply spewing the same propaganda we've heard for generations... gateway drug, marijuana smoke is more harmful than cigarette smoke, addiction, etc.

Very glad an ER MD is present to testify in support of the bill and squash the political rhetoric... way to go Dr. Howard Swidler! The applause after he testified spoke volumes...
