I pray this goes through.
Being a Pa. resident with medical problems.,I'll be first in line to get a card for use and to grow for others.
Is it too late to call the legislators.?
i have a feeling this will rise our hopes in the PA government system, then just come crashing down and have all the dickheaded republicans vote no and it just get squashed.
"The next most important project is lobbying the PA House Health & Human Services (HHS) Committee Members and sponsors of HB 1393 Compassionate Use Act throughout June. A draft list of these legislators is attached, together with a copy of the Bill.
We want to coordinate who is contacted and what the results are with Pennsylvanians for Medical Marijuana (PA4MMJ).
The best contact days while the House is in session in June are Mondays and Tuesdays, 10 AM through 4 PM. Harrisburg or District Office visits are best, phone calls less effective (but hopefully counted) and e-mails least effective.
We want to thank the Sponsors, especially if they're your Representative, and ask those who are Against the Bill or undecided what they need to know and how they'll vote.
More on these contacts later, but "lobbying" is generally identifying yourself, telling your brief story on why you're contacting them, asking about the Member's position, thanking them for hearing your input, sometimes leaving information for them, and reporting back to your groups, The Medical Movement and PA4MMJ.
Thanks for all you have done and will do. Save Saturday, July 11 for a statewide event.
Let me know if there's anything I can do to help! I live outside of Harrisburg, have already written my Senators and Representatives. Would love to be more proactive if anyone has anything organized!
