New Neighbor is a Grow House!

Lemme just lay out the facts cause I'm confused on how to handle this.

The house next to me was rented about 5 months ago. I saw the two renters move in two big ass uhauls into the garage the first week...then I haven't seen them for a month. The two new neighbors are mid to late twentys, one with a lexus suv other a lexus car, both with rims. I seriously haven't seen them for a month after they moved in, then randomly @ night I saw the suv there for an hour. The den light was on and curtains open with no furniture in the house except for one futon. So 3 weeks later one day I wake up to the light finally being turned off and the blinds closed. Then I noticed a smell, I'm medical and gave 6k in my garage so I got new carbon filters.....still a small odor which would b impossible from my garage! Now its fall time I strategically threw a handfull of leaves in front of the door that would be moved if their door actually opened, which never moved for a month (5 months of me watchn this house) Saw the car guy for the first time in 4 months, closed the door and left about the same time he was leavn. So I drove slow and noticed there is definately the ominous blue glow of a metal halide from certain parts under the garage door.

I'm completely legal, and don't want this growhouse with these kids being so obvious right next door. It is an invitation to get robbers into my area.

Wtf do I do here?

Leave them a note telln them its obvious this is a grow house?

Do I break in (still have extra key from previoys neighbors in that house cause they were friendly) and just leave the note on the door to the garage and scare the shit out of them?

Do I just let it ride and be thankful that if the cops r comn it'll b to nextdoor and not my house?

Do I try n talk to them and possibly help tend the house and watch out for it for a nominal fee?

Do I keep my mouth shut and not knock people for tryn to go big?


I'm just really weirded out by this, I'm cool with a dude livn there n growin but everything about this house seems shady to me.

I would try to catch them coming or going and talk to them about it. If it is a safety risk to your family you should talk to them about it.

Never know, they could be medical growers also. I would even talk to them about it. If you see them hanging around, converse with them on some non related topics. Because depending on who they are, any type of action could be a safety risk for you. In plus I've always liked the idea of "at least they'll take all the attention off of me."

I would but the combination of the smell and the mh light leaks almost compell me to at least leave an anonymous note suggesting panda poly and a bigger scrubber. As per our state med laws, the max u can have flowering is 24. I'd rather not have any attention be drawn to my own grow because their lack of adequate prepartion.

I think anonymous friendly note suggesting carbon scrubber and panda polying the garage door is the way to go. If I ever do getta chance to talk to them ill feel it out and see. Just odd to be a grower and have a commercial op move next door and the smell is quite noticable. our houses look alike and mirror each other so its their garage 6 foot of yard then my gagage. Even a burglar wondering which house smells so good can't go wrong and that's not cool.

How do you know they dont have security cameras set up? All it takes is a webcam and a pc...

So its kinda funny that you have to set this guy straight without letting him know how savvy you are to growing. Do you ever chit chat at the mailbox or anything?

Can you pull off being naive, yet cluing them in at the same time? You could say "golly wow, there was this sweet looking light coming from your garage. Like Jesus had come down and into your garage." Maybe you dont have to pull off an emmy, but if you just clued them in without directly confirming your knowledge.....it will be enough of a tip off to tell them: "I know what you're doing, but I'm not going to talk about it and dont want to."

They will be unsure of your motives so you will need assure them in no uncertain words that you do not care and are just letting them know.

Chances are they switched locks but you could give a stealth visit a go. This way, you'd know what you're in for. Where do you think a 27 year old got their lexus from?

If you can find their house based on 2 cars that they have thousands of in my city...come next door and well smoke a bowl

What would YOU do if someone left you a note IN your house or on your front step?

Sometimes it is best to NOT let others know YOU know what they are doing simply because you are opening YOURSELF up to potential risks INCLUDING them taking YOUR shit.

People for some dumb ass reason feel they have to be cool by saying "wink wink" I know what you are doing BUT its cool. Or hell telling them to deal with the odor WINK WINK. Come on that stuff is STUPID and a security risk on your part.

Leave them be, let them get busted if they do BUT don't make it obvious and tell them YOU know because what if they get tagged after you try and be the hip neighbor? They would assume YOU ratted on them and then who knows what that might take you especially if they are rolling in lexus's and so forth.

why even discuss anything with them, if you are legit and they are not WHAT IF they are being watched. Hell what if your name gets thrown in due to chattin them up or trying to leave em love letters about how you are "in the know"....

narr ..an anonymous letter isnt a bad idea...though might make them stand there and look at all the houses thinkn "hmmmm which one of yas are writing this?"....so would have to be worded well....i like the cut of your jib thinkn about them...but also trying to make life easyer for you and your legal grow..

theres a place up the road from me,,something made me think they grow...no reason...maybe just me...but then thought...big dog..high locked fence that ppl stand there and cant get in and write a note and leave pissed off....and then through the fence one day i saw something black and plastic...then next time saw it again and oooh noooo.. a stack of hydro pots...and then days later an orange hps glow from a window from a back room hmmm ...i feel like doing the same...writing a note...or have seen them once backing out with there car and thought to say something...but dont want to trip them out and then think...hows "he" know so much????

find a pot bust news article from the local paper,
cut that out and make that your "letter."

there was a well known poster here who recieved such a
letter with a news article anonymously in the mail. he moved

Be extremely careful and wary here!
Should these people be good people, then it will come to light in time.
Should these people be gang related you will place yourself and your family in real
danger should you attempt to contact them in any form or manner.
Should these people be med or collective growers, then they are being VERY
shady-grady about the whole deal...imo

Advice? Try to casually strike up a conversation with one of them when you see them
over there, but only if the timing is right...not like 2 am or anything. The topic of
conversation between like minded individuals(stoners) will be clear almost instantly.
Hell, I know the signs as well as most folks and I am sure you do too.
Fact: IF they are acting in a suspicious manner, then they def have a reason to be
hiding something, and could be willing to be violent concerning it. Be aware.
Fact: Should the cops come for a major grow bust, they may accidentally get the
address wrong. Or, they may include you in the next door neighbors bust and conclude
a reciprocal grow operation.
Choices: Be a snitch(bad)...talk to them(fair)...ignore it all(poor)...leave a note(suicidal).

There are no perfect choices here, but remember the advice on many threads here on IC
about renting a grow house and see if that is not what they are doing.
Above all else dont freak out and become paranoidal...not good for your personal
karma.

Next time you see the vehicles at the house, walk over
after all they are your neighbor and should be neighborly

Don't leave any note, talk directly to them.
Let them know about your observations (lights/leaves/etc) and about their odd behavior.

If what you say is true about how often they show up at the house (are you really watching the place that closely?) then there can't possibly be a grow there. You should obviously know that it takes way more than 1 or 2 visits to a grow spot to pull off any sort of successful op. Think logically and objectively in this situation. What would you want someone to do to YOU? Leave notes and freak you out or talk to you like an adult?
