newhidden- Glad to hear they came back, mine always flop over for a day when they come out of a dome. I have only lost one from it and it was this time actually, but clones also got rushed in there. I use a 14 gallon wetvac, I fill it up then wheel it to the drain where I have a water pump setup ready to drain it out. You can put the end of the vac on the return lines and really get alot out. Never had a problem damagaing roots or anything. After this round I will be getting a new wet vac, a powerful commercial unit that comes built onto a lid for a 50 gallon drum. I will mount a water pump right inside the wetvac drum and have a nice long hose to work with Any future builds will have some sort of drain built in.

Nice gig you got going. I run a similar setup and have a couple questions:

Do you use the gh additives like koolbloom or floralicious?
How does the taste and smell compare to your soil grows, and are you going to tell us your drying/curing process?

Also, I grew out some ss ak47 in a dwc setup and they were monsters. You're gonna have some big buds! People would come over and smoke that shit and get lost on they're way home.lol:

newhidden-I will have to dig up the link for the model I am purchasing, been a little bit since I looked up the exact unit. I am not venting to the attic with this setup, my old one I did. I had a custom made stainless steel window insert made, it lag bolts right into the concrete foundation, and has a 6" outlet that is screened in so critters don't get in. My old setup went to the attic, I used a holesaw and nad made my hole in the most convienent location, if your duct run is really long make sure you get some booster fans to help out along the way.

abnorml-I don't use any GH additives, taste and smell has never been a problem and I cannot tell a difference form hydro to soil as far as flavor and smell goes. To cure I hang up my buds unitl the stem snaps, then to a paperbag for 3 days +/-, then to jars That is really good to hear that SS ak47 liked your dwc setup, honestly I was hoping for big buds , was hoping she would be my girl to move my average yield/bucket up. Thanks for stopping in

Quick Update: Today is Day 44 12/12 , clones for next round are rooted and will be on veg nutes by the end of this week

I wont hit anywhere near that, 5 plants had 4 days veg, 10 had 2 weeks, and 9 had 3.5 weeks, The soil plants won't pull much either, wasn't growing them for yield though so its ok.

I can't fit all of them in one picture from side to side, but if i could you would see the height drop off, only the 5 smallest that got 4 days veg will be real small, rest should be alright.
