Non of his threads/posts were deleted, just his account. At the top right of the forum it says 'Search This Forum', just type in 'silverback' and his threads are in with the other search results. All the info he provided still lives on

I did that and found posts that the word silverback is mentioned and also some of the threads he started, thanks, M.A.I.G., it's a much better search result than the general search through all the forums ...but it is not quite the same as seeing a list of all silverback's posts from last to first, is it?

...just did a search for 'silverback' because he was one of the most helpful people to me as noob to IC. Sad News truely. Logging your experiences here does one great thing and that is that other ppl can continue to learn and grow from you for years on...

to Silverback.

wow, what a shock- I haven't been at IC mag for a couple weeks and logged in today to read this sad news.

I have a lot of respect for Silverback, he was a true guerilla grower at heart and his tenacious spirit could be sensed in his sound advice that came from wisdom- wisdom from real experience- and thats an extremely valuable resource for our community. Over the past couple years I have read many posts thanking Silverback for promoting Greencure as a natural fungicide, and this year I want to thank him too cause its done wonders keeping the mold away.

The knowledge he shared was his gift, and to spread that knowledge is our tribute to a great grower.

I'm thankful for Silverback's contributions to our community, and wish him well on his journey.

Just finding this out now. I enjoyed his insights immensely, and grew out MLI after reading his posts. His outdoor plants were absolutely beautiful. I'm sad that he's gone, but I'm happy he lived and died doing what he loved.

RIP

This buds for Silverback

Hey buddy you recommended BBxNL and told me there was some early finishing BBxNL phenos so I grew out some of my own F2s this year just for fun. I knew that most would not finish. I went out on Oct 9th because we had a freeze on the 10th. I had 15 plants and 14 were immature and needed until the end of October to finish.

Here is a pic of one of the 14 that were not ready.

15 plants and only one finished on time and here’s the pheno that was done. I have never grown a completely purple pheno of any strain and this one is the most beautiful plant I have ever seen.

I cant tell you the feeling I had when I saw it, incredible I just knew you were there standing by me. 15 plants and this one makes it, I am not a religious person by any stretch but I know you were watching over me as I harvested this one.

Thanks for all the advice SB this buds for you.

this is sad news, I just read a thread about outdoor strains and the threadstarter had great grow reviews including his posted there, so I "bumped" the thread. I was thinking, wow this guy knows his stuff would like to ask him some questions. So I search for his name to find other strain info, and came across this thread. So sad, I never knew him although the name sounds familiar. RIP MAN

A great loss and true legend. RIP silverback!
Hamstring, I have been playing with the BBxNL for two seasons and I too was blessed with an ultra purple( bright bright magenta in parts, stems, leaves and dark purple almost black in parts) pheno. Seeded btw. He will live on in many ways.
