oh and i almost forgot to mention that the harvest had some beans from a nanner on the shack. i think it came from when i tried to bend a branch under the net and snapped it, well into flower, i picked the 2 i saw, musta missed 1 , but it was confined to the 3 shack in the corner at that time, a couple on the decap as well(removed), all very immature to my knowledge so far(lilgreendotsmostly), conceived to late to mature, but just in time to make the seeded buds not do their swell, however very frost covered they are still have lil mini beans here and there. but easy to pick out i guess...
and also i wanted to talk about my res's
the 1 on the left contains H&G aqua flakes- the 1 on the right H&G coco
both side use the H&G lineup- rootsExc,dripclean,multi zyme & budxl and for a pk booster i use a product called MOAB 1-52-32 + b1 i believe, i may have to edit if #wrong
all though the sides are 17-18 days apart, it is a nice side by side.
so far IMO the coco lacks N, Ca, Mg prob lacking from a product i am not using in their lineup, so i have substituted with botanicares calmag, and i did 1 hand water with the res mixture+ maxicrop to green em' up a bit, it helped, but i still have a lil light color on that side from light to close while i was on trip.....
on the aquaflakes IMO so far so good, but still using cal mag, but havent needed maxicrop yet, still want to wait another 2 weeks b4 i speak on how it maintains jumping into flower. i should also add that this side was vegged with H&G coco, and has good results the entire time, but also used maxicrop in veg. that could be the differance.

uh oh better get that net.. walmart sells then for 1/2 the price as my hydro store, same net, as does home depot. those 2 places actually carry a few items the hyrdro stores mark up a lot. even walgreens is carrying the same digitimer i bought a while back for 20 plus bucks and walgreens is 10 bucks. i want to open a hydro store the more i think about it. 100-200% mark ups damn... get rich quick scheme # 420 open a hydro store!

when they give 10% off or back, they act like its a huge deal your gettin. if i was more patient and could wait for delivery of item, the hydro stores would never see me i swear!

so true you know the smal boy chlorinator,,well they are 90 bucks,,, home depot has one for 66 it only removes 94.7% of the chlorine,,,i am not sure about the % that the small boy removes,,,but if it removes 94.7% you could get by with bubbling for an hour or so i would think, but me i would be cool with just going ahead and using it straight from tap with 97% being removed,,, my tap is 140ppm and 7.6 ph,,,i also saw that walmart has a dual system chlorine and sediment twist and lock filters for 99 and they have reverse osmosis with no drip tank and they have inline whole house chlorine filters for 44 dollars go check either store before you go buy some water treatment,,,i just called the number for the dupont filters at walmart and they remove 98.4% of chlorine and they have wholehouse ones dirt chep so if you just need the chlorine and the sediment is not an issue,,,thats the way to go,,,I think that Sam Walton has a stoner in his midst lol,,,
but i also i agree that ebay and other online stores are cheaper,,,but i hate to wait to i want it now lol,,,peace

I don't begrudge any of them their mark up or profit. Have you listened to the endless stream of shit these guys have to hear and answer from our less enlightened brethren? And who's always there for me with sound advise and random products I need, while not judging a grown man for being into flowers? My hydro shop, priceless.

Nice shit smok, it's cool that you're comparing aqua & cocos because I'm considering switching over to aqua flakes after seeing Pico post that he uses it and never ph's it... I'm very curious to see what does better.

having a lil lockout on the AF side on 2 sensative strains, but prob from not being flushed ever. feeding really light, so the hardy strains are cool with no flush. the PPMs have been in the 230s for a few days now(diluted the res), so the lock out has stopped, just to much P for the young girls at first....
keep checkin in and see how it goes>.. and for a feeding chart i am basically copying a grower by the name of MO BUDZ for a guide line, but have done some really minor changes so far. but goal is to mimic the feeding chart he has provided. he uses the COCO H&G. it is a safe way to go, and i will fine tune as i see fit, when my room is more dialed to take more measurments of this and that for optimum performance. MO BUDZ does a wonderful job of breaking it down in his thread in the coco coir section. you should check him out. east to follow and can see the progression of grow...its completed now.
after i move i will do another side by side with the winner with gh FLORA SERIES. loved the results i had in coco with it b4- then the winner of that takes on gh FLORANOVA bloom. i loved the results with that- tastiest buds to date, but not that soluable- would need a pump to aggitate mixture all the time.
i have used PBP in it also, but wasnt impressed, was good weed, but lacked the extreme size and density that these others give. just a safe mild organic food really. great for soil growers who fear nute burn and want tastey weed easy IMO. used for over 2 years strong b4 i got brave and switched. never lookin back for indoor anyway

i get to mix up my flower res's tonight, a day behind, but they needed a long flush both sides, but it was the first low ppm feeding for the last 5 days for the right side ever. now it can take the PK boost i am about to throw at em... should get interesting now.... and for the veg i must top the necc ones and select my mothers. (mostly done with that) dpd chem4 decap grapeape white R66 PC and greencrack, as mothers.... strwdzl around as a cut or 2 each run, but may give her up too(the dzl makes very sensitive) i need a light leak free run to be sure on my choice. gonna try to run mostly decap, and rows of selected others....running. i will be keeping the moms bonsai'd to keep small, and will not run all strains each time, just decap always, and this and that when i prepare them ahead of time. i would love to have 1 of my lights pumpin out the quick strains like greencrack. i need to try her first

yes i agree that his A&B usage is lower than reccomended, but it is a safe guidline as i stated in my thread but like you said "results" so it is a good guideline to boot. i am altering it to suit my strains and style, but i follow it fairly closely. the a&b is all i change(eg. a recomm 5.5ml raised to 6ml), plus i use calmag and diff pk boosters. i have kept the ppm under 700 and didnt clean flush 1 side for 4 weeks and the younger side for 2 weeks. problem free. but will change this when i figure out water usage. nearly understanding my needs now to be empty by 6th day of week and refill for the next.
i think you would be fine to raise the A&B as you see fit, but if theres no call for it, then why. try to keep plants healthy with as lil food as poss, its not about feeding harder but about giving what the plant needs when it needs it. and for the yeilds its all about maintaining the hydro root(keep em reallywet) and most important well timed PK boosters IMO.
if your tap is clean(do you know what ppm is) then it will be fine of course, but if it is hard, like mine is, his recommended A&B would be good as long as you flush at least 1 time a week and maybe use a lil less... my tap is over 530ppm. i use RO and come out about 630 ppm in res for week 1 feeding schedual, but if i used tap res would be at around 1200, see the differance.
and my drip was super cheap, can build my manifold for 20 bucks plus pump, and can do it cheaper with 1/4"dripline w/ barbs and black 3/4"irrig. line and $1 compression fittings. $20 pump from depot or lowes
best of luck you should be fine with all you are doing, i am new to this line also, but am documenting everythng for myself and closely monitoring my plants for any problems and whatever. so far so good.

Hey there, I didn't want to clog your thread so I figured I'd pm you... I'm just curious about the mo budz method, I checked out his thread and he gets awesome huge buds, but I'm using tap water instead of R/O and I'm handwatering isntead of drip-feeding everyday (which I should probably change, but I'm short on $ right now..) and I'm wondering if that will make a big difference...
Also his rates are way lower than H&G recommend for A&B... but I can't argue with results I guess. I will probably give it a shot, just wondering if you thought I should feed A&B a bit heavier since I'll be handfeeding every one or two days instead of frequent feedings...
