It's so cool to see other people's fridge grows. I converted a full size fridge about 3 years ago, but the difference is I use an operating fridge. I have a 250 watt HPS in a cool tube with a 6" axial fan. It's a sealed system with CO2 injected. I have the refrigeration on a timer to keep the temps consistant. High temp, during the dark period is 84F, low 62. I did a Jack Herer grow a few months ago and got one plant with purple calyxes! The yields were okay, but where I live I can grow outdoors year-round, so now I use my unit to keep my mother plant and for vegging clones to be put outside.

This is a really cool grow. Only question I have is why are the PL-Ls set so far away? Maybe make them adjustable? I just thought those were really low temp. I'm sure you know more than me though!
Keep it real!

I think he should be able to use one of the fridge's shelves and just move it up and down.

Oh wait, I forgot this is a hydro grow. Probably can't move the plants.

not a problem at all. I built the black one out of epoxy.. The white one was the ice chamber for my vintage fridge. It held ice and kept the fridge cold, when it was a fridge. The dimensions of the hand-built sump are 8x10x10 The original was bout 9x11x11 but it was wider in the front than the back. Hope that helps

hmm....you built it out of epoxy? as soon as i get my 50 posts il pm you about it so i dont clutter your thread. youve caught my interest.

Hey guy, you can ask me here. Aerohead has a slightly more detailed one, I kind of just half-assed mine, but It was built in a rush to prevent the dreaded Donor Lungs of Death. I have kind of controlled them with the dragon that says Nee! You buy epoxy sheets, a cutter and the bonding weld stuff. Then build a box! that easy. If you do have any questions let me know.

Hey bro just stopping by to check it out and things are looking awesome, healthy budding plants :woohoo:, Happy Gardening.
Peace.

Thanx for the support!

That sounds sick. I am planning to do a full size fridge grow similarly soon! It is an impressive idea! Thank you for the kind words.

I totally can, but I don't know if they need it. I'm gonna give em another week, then decide. But not to worry, I can totally lift the entire thing up a bit.

I need to install a screen into my mini fridge. It seems to be working very well for you.

Kudos on the neat set-up too. Mine looks like a complete mess in comparison, and I'm OCD! :biglaugh:

Hey, tell you what, if you can tell me where I have screen to fill... Great!

Dude you can get epoxy sheeting from like home depot, or Ace hardware, or what ever local hardware store you have. Here are some pics from today. I tell you, I am not having a problem filling the screen, and the plants are about 5-6" from the light tubes. I see no problems thus far, and I am starting to get excited for the final product.:joint:

Thank you for all your kind words, and keep looking forward to the seed graft participle of my thread.

Would love to see an outside full box pic!
I cant wait to get mine up and running I just got my exhaust fan today. A 133 CFM 120MM fan that I will be using to scrub and vent the entire cab with. Overkill? maybe but I can always pick up a fan speed controller to dial it back for the perfect cab temp you know.

Can not wait to see your box in its full blooming glory!

Hell yeah dude! Thats a nice full screen. Now I want to see it full of fat sticky buds. Top job Melkor420. Cant wait to see them in full flower.

Huggie bear: Once you put a scrubber on that fan you will be down to 70CFM or less. I hope the PLLs run as cool as I hear they run or your apt to run into temp probs. I have a modified stanley blower fan connected to my 3 SQFT cab (210 watts of CFLS) pulling through a scrubber and I still cant get away without running my AC. Good luck. Peace
