Closet Hacking new wave growers

To be honest, I am still at page 12 Major, but I have to ask. Maybe it's that it's 5 in the morning my time and it's almost time for beddy time, but how do you pull off keeping your veg area right above your flower area in that closet? Or did I misunderstand what you are doing there? Or is it really simple and I am just overthinking that? I mean obviously you don't have any light leaks, obviously. But what exactly did you do there, in my tired head I can't picture how I could safely contain both veg and flower into 1 closet and not light poison my flowering plants. Forgive me if this is addressed post page 12, I am getting there.

he has about a 2.5x4 box in the closet, it is about 6ft in height. on the right hand side of box, there are a row of i think 8 mix spect. cfls 42w & 26watt for veg along the closet wall. above that area is a small 1.5' x 3' shelf with his cloner and small transplants(rootedclones) with 3 24" flouros above i believe, but only 2 turned on.

there is light leak. always has been in the bloom box. it creaps in on the back egde of box through caulking and a lil on the poly door(think that was solved kinda)
IMO a lil light leak wont mess with a lot of strains, as long as the light leak is CONSISTANT. think of outdoors, there is a moon, sometimes artificial glow from city lights ya feel me, and they do fine. the light that gets in is so diffused it aint hurtin mucha anything IMO, but i dont like it myself.
my poly zipped door leaks a lil dim faint light @ floor from my veg area into the flower area for 6 hours a day every day, no nanners in there from that. it is consistant light cycle, and budding continues. i plan to remedy this prob for piece of mind, but it hasnt been an issue yet. hope that might help!

P.S. maj is fam i see his room often so you know i aint full a bs bout his rig.
we are bout to build that space a lil bigger tomorrow i think is the day so that light leak is gettin handled if he hasnt already. i gave a few suggestions to him for cheap fix, then i just hooked up some aluminum tape to block that light leak. he prob used it by now!

any way maj call me if you gonna build tomorrow. i am free all day and can bring you a lil somthin too!

fyi- Those concrete tub things. Some of them have nice flat, level bottoms, and some are flimsy as sh1t. The flimsy ones don't provide support, and one could find one's solo cups tipping over in a most annoying manner.

So check it out before you buy, or save your receipt and try it out before you start hacking on it. Might save you a couple bux or a trip to the Big Box store.

hello IE2KS welcome to my fun i've flowered in everything from 1 cup of soil to 22 gal of soil indoors i'm addicted to 2 liter soda bottels mtn dew 1's lmao. Sir pretty much covered it i have the master bedroom closet its dems are 5ft x 7ft x8ft. i enclosed a corner for flowering its currently 30 inch deep x 55.5 inch wide x 73in tall. inside is 2x400w lights a 400w mh in air cooled hood 400w hps in cooltube crammed in there. i have approx 80w per sqft my ducting is only 4inch and i stay at 85-86 degrees during lights on. i'm gonna upgrade to 6inch in oct thats when i can revamp flowering, i use the 2ft x 5ft space along side of flowering for main veg on floor currently theres 4 lights there. each fixture contains
45w - 150w warm @ 2900 lumens 2700k
25w=100w daylight!1470 lumens 5000k
i have 6 fixtures total but only use 4 now. above on a shelf is the clone bubbler and nursery for seedlings and fresh planted clones. it's lite by 3x20w 2ft single bulb fluros from walmart advertised as 17w growlight i bought a 20w replacement bulb for each. 2 are 5000k color 1 is 3000k.

it works very nicely

setup is sounding sweet man ,,,,, not to step on any toes,,, but my inner thought wont stay quiet ... i know 85-86 is still ok ,but would be a little to close to danger for me ,, thats just one broken fan or hot day away from burnt tops ......any look in the future to try and control that area a little more and pump some cool air in some how

hey every1 srry for my absense my brother in law has been in hosipital for last 2 wks for his hart. monday after Sir stoped by i choped the rest of the run and manicured the 1st part choped 4 days before tonight i manicure what was choped monday. tuesday i got some gas for my truck and was at hosipital and preparing for his return home. i thought i had my hands full before with my garden. mang now i'm his caretaker make sure his diet stays proper takes proper meds at proper times. he'll be ok he just cant read the instructions on his med bottels they added 6 new meds for his hart and blood. some meds taken in the morn some at night again and 2 at bed time

hey brotha Jack yes i know i'm tipn the heat index lol hopefully oct 1st i can up grade to 6 in ducting and change few things around on ventilation.
hey IE2 i wish i had a hood for both bulbs instead of my current setup i could utilize the light foot print better. the cooltube is mearly inchs from the wall so no real refelctiveness from that the air cooled hood dose spread inside nice. i used what i had on hand


ok little update the Chem4 has found a home 4sure it's very yummy tastes to me like pine tree needle tea, the double purple doja has also found a home. this DPD in person is just fricken amazing deep i mean deep purple cylx color starts on very early like after cylx start stackn. bag apeal wicked smell and taste very nice the pollen chuck and mongrul this run isnt a good representation of what it can be the light comen on that wk n half really messed em up. at least no nanners but thier flowering was messed up i'll have much better representation's of them in dec. i have 3 PC clones and 2 mongruls.

i ended up culling all Mr.Ed lol because i wanted better light for the Puna Bomb's the PB looks like maybe 3/4 are female . gonna have some killa migilla smoke from the island's this x-mas/new yrs. everything else looks great transplanted the solo cups other day into 2 liters. i took 5 more chem4 cuts thier in RW along with 9 other cuts of whats in flower lol, bubblers has 10 cuts in 5 where planted in soil otherday.. i'm gonna prep a sweet run for dec harvest and whats left will be 1st run of next yr lmao. again i apologize for my absense just things around home this week got crazy busy today is 1st day since monday that PC been on.

heres something i scored other day i'm a rock mineral and fossile collector and hunter. friend of mine owns a cig shop he has a few rocks and such on display. other day i asked him for this peice of pyrite {fools gold} that has quartz crystals embedded on and in it





the black color is the oxidized pyrite oxcilic acid and water makes the pyrite shiney like gold and cleans up the quartz crystals. alot of the crystals are fractions of MM in length so small a jewelers eye is needed to see them. the pyrite in this specimen is nice cube shapes when cleaned up it really will be worthy in any display.

ok heres 5 Chem4 cuts took 2 days into flower, they where cut dipped into dip n gro for 10 seconds n stuck in rockwool


all 5 have roots blowen out the bottoms i have 1 in 3x3 soil and 1 left in bubbler. gonna make a bonsai mum of her and have a chemy X-Mas and new yr lol

the color of his eyes in this pic are actual not photoshoped his eyes can get some crazy ass colors. i rescue him from a kill shelter 10-11 yrs ago he was yr yr n half old then

if ppl are wondering about what i do for RW prep and clone rooting

i pre cut to size then soak RW cubes in water PH adjusted to 5.5 for 24 hrs. now i make a small starter hole in rw for the new cut take my cut dip it into dip n grow rooting hormone n stick into hole in rw cube. when all desired cuts have been delt with i water them i use general hydroponics 3 part flora series grow/micro/bloom.

fresh cuts no roots
1 tsp per gal water grow
1 tsp per gal water micro
1 tsp per gal water bloom and then adjust ph to 5.5

the small cup in pic above has holes in bottom i water untill rw is covered and allow to drain i do this twice each day, 11am and 11pm. 2-3 wks later roots and planted in soil for me now 1 day into larger rw for flood n drain or buckets lol

well another update so on the puna bomb i have 4 females so guess no F2's but i have 3 cuts in soil now so maybe some crosses in the future.


in 2 liter bottels stretch wasnt 2 bad only 1 application of bushmaster used 1/2 tsp in gal water with regular nutes. this run BM was given 3 days into flower

here right to left we have the white and 2 decapation in 2 gal bags the white was trimmed everything off the bottom half of plant



here we have 3 chem4 in 2 gal bags



here we have right to left 1 decap 1 green crack in 2 liter bottels



here we have right to left 1 gunk 2 sugar shack in 2 gal bags


again bottom half of plants in bags trimmed up nothing but few leaves

whitemustang - [ chem dog [fm] x west coast dog [m] BX3 ]

a truely wicked cross which blows the original bubba away but sat side by side cant tell them apart. smoke them and Decap is stronger
