Moving product and growing are too total different playing fields. Your friend has the connections to move the product. Say you harvest 4 lbs its cured dried ready to go. If you can't get rid of this quantity in bulk then you shouldn't grow that much yet, IMO.

yea for real, if you cant even move a pound why are you growing in the first place?? maybe you are on the wrong career path. some people above me in the food chain blow through ten packs in a day, its like there's not enough weed out there sometimes.

IMO, you don't want roommates or partners at all. I have a small(ish) cab running perpetual, and my roommates now think that they can smoke all that thay want for free. There isn't anything quite like waking up in the morning, and going to roll a joint, and finding not only has your tray been totally cleaned, but they dipped into your stash jar and smoked your last couple dried nugs, leaving you a couple roaches(that are so small it takes like 10 of them to roll a joint with). I mean, I pay my third of everything, buy the nutes, put in too many hours to count, and these jack asses haven't lifted a finger, yet they think the weed is theirs(ie, come home drunk, plop down on the couch, and I quote"Got a joint rolled yet man?" Screw partners, roommates, and all that biz. If you can't move what you grow by yourself, just don't grow that much, period.

The only way that I would team with someone is if I knew that they would take a bullet for me and vice a versa.
I don't lend money to most because as I say that their friendship is to important to me. If I give you money during hard times then I don't have to lend it. If I'd take a bullet for you then the money doesn't matter anyway.
Blood in the end is the only thing that matters and most don't understand nor fathom what that means.

Don't do it. No partners, ever! I'm finally finishing up a partnership, and it couldn't be soon enough. There has been nothing 50/50 about it. I should have checked his credit! ha ha... Never again. Whenever there's an emergency, unexpected expenses, etc, guess who doesn't have his half...
