Tony, were you around in 2001-2004 when slinger blew pieces just like this?

I don't think so :(

The shaping and fuming, and also 'bell' diffusers...screams Slinger.

UH yeah besides for the mouth piece doesn't look anything like a slinger and his cans are way more clean. Also he bought this in the dam, doubt many shops out there were getting his prodo work.

oh btw swishaman why were you banned on here?

I'm not a fan of either, though the techniques used in the deppe are more advanced than the techniques used in the eush bub.

^sick dontstepongrass, who colabed with hops on that inline/tube thing? Is that a tree perc that's been twisted? That's sooo sick!

*edit* I mean, who is bates lol

I like that one better than the deppe piece... but that just my personal opinion. and i know others will hate because of it. but again its my OPINION.

I feel you. I like the Deppe more, but just because of Eush color choices. I realize they're Dead colors, but it feels to "American" for me. Sound right?

Just like I like the MNP Dead bub more than that Deppe.

Roor Head buys glass because it's cool, it's like buying the newest, coolest pair of jeans to him. Just ignore him. The real glass lovers know what you mean bro.

P.S. RoorHead, OG Kush didn't exist until 2004, and guess what? People were getting high and stoned for thousands of years before punk ass kids (just like you) jumped on Overgrow.com and started spurting their stupid shit about OG Kush being better than anything. I can list a number of strains off the top of my head with less HYPE than OGKush, but they would be preferred smoke to most seasoned heads. You're a kid though, so if person A and B say OGKush is the bestest, then you'll agree, never realizing the HYPE involved with strains like OGKush, and how THAT HYPE effects your opinion of such bud. I bet you have the coolest jeans in the game huh? Tony is a snob about glass and pot, but at least he doesn't remain ignorant, he understands when he's in the wrong, it might take a nudge, but he will realize it. You on the other hand, are stuck in the thought that your shit smells like Issey Miyaki and your burps smell like Burberry. Get over yourself. Learn English and how to type. Also you should understand how the glass scene was before you jumped in it a year ago. You think 10 years ago you could walk into Dementia and buy any type of headpiece? The glass scene is in its infancy, not everyone is Deppe, not everyone wants to be Deppe and surprisingly, not everyone likes Deppes work. Glass pipes are first and foremost art, especially if were talking about top blowers like Deppe and Eusheen. Not all art is the same is it? Do Picasso and Michaelangelo works resemble each other? Does ANYONE have the right to say "Oh, that Picasso is aight, but check out dis Michaelangelo yo! That's the hot shit!" ? No. Because no one is such a jackass that they would completely miss the point that they are FIRST AND FOREMOST ART! Art is an expression, even in glass, if you didn't know. It's unique and beautiful, and if everything looked like a Deppe piece, then the glass scene would suck, and I wouldn't love it as much as I do.

And personally, I have never said this, but you sir, are not worthy of even your cheapest piece. You sir, are worthy of the shittiest Chinese spoon, found in the shittiest box of Chinese glass that's ever made it to this Country. Even then, I say you don't deserve that. You deserve a soda can pipe.

And this is the last I will address you, if this forum allows it, I will be ignoring you. You ruin this thread with your constant negativity and gigantic, immature, ill informed superiority complex.

LOL...
*Cough* Mr Justin...I like your design, that's a Brock right?...nice!!!
That would be Steve Bates so you know...check him out on glasspipes.org. It's nice to see someone so involved in design. You ever thought about giving it a shot(glassblowing)??

Hell, I love both the Eusheen and the Deppe!! Both do excellent work and are highly respected in the glass community. Deppe is a more recognizable name and a GLASS MASTER, and you'll certainly pay for it, but If I had 5k laying around to blow, I wouldn't hesitate to buy one of his pieces if it was something I was attracted to. It's no different than chocolate or vanilla...we all have are preferences,...so just go with what you like!! That's what glass art is all about.

Toob That MNP bubbler is hands down one of the coolest bubblers I've seen..:yoinks:. My hat's off to you man!!! Excellent, excellent choice. That's some killer work and a main display piece for sure... Congratulations...I'm jealous...LOL!!!

dontstepongrass Nice setup man!! The SG and Hops are killer...along with the Pakoh slide. Benjamins!!!

Hey BobbyStainless....Hope you're well dude, and life is good... Hit 200 lately? LOL!!

Well I haven't posted up any glass in a while...So here we go...

...and a custom slide stand by my friend Kabley...It was a prototype, but still beats the hell out of a wooden stand. Solid brushed aluminum w/Derlin inserts to protect the GONG from marring, and rubber feet to top it off. This was his first, and as you'll see...the only real room for improvement would be the spacing between slides. A little larger or possibly some offset between 'em would be perfect.

Hope you guys/gals are enjoying a helluva weekend...and remember, a paper will get you just as high and doesn't break when ya drop it!!!...LOL!!!
Cheers!!

Indeed Midlife ;) Incredible collection sir, few of my favorites... That Soldier/Alex K combo...spot on.. That fat d-wreck slide, of course the Pakoh, Slinger and Ghost.. Actually, now I see two D-Wrecks... Like the blue one more though :p Like the BLUE slide, he's a super cool dude. And finally the Chaos AK/Sarah, probably the most chaotic I have seen. Too mch going on in that tube lol :p. Reallllly love that OG Moss mouth... Oo yeah, the Honey Bear, never seen a picture up close of one, they are amazingly detailed! I say you need a Alex k. showerhead diffy or two.... and more Alex slides! :p

Have you got a chance to check out the Pakoh/Wicked Sands colabs? Oh yeah...there's a siiiiiiiiick very sickly D-Wreck/Hops inline colab bubbler on TC you should check out if you haven't already. I'm not a huge fan of D-Wrecks stencil choices, but this one actually has super dope Chaos Star stencils... I love D-Wrecks blue face marbles (goblins? :p ), but his religious stencils are too 'negative' for me personally. I'm an atheist, but I still respect Religion on a few levels, and actually I do enjoy Religious paintings as well...

And many thanks for your kind words about the design. I would love to see it amongst your collection some day. Brock is an amazing artist, though I honestly do not think I had heard of him until he took up the challenge. I mean, chances are I did know about him, I might tend to forget artists who don't use an alias. No clue why lol... Definitely will never forget him again if that is the case.

It's just been years since I kept up with the glass scene, and really, stepping back into the glass world, has been comparable to stepping into the Sistine Chapel, only to find it repainted. Of course I love the progress made over my 5 year absence, but at the same time, some artists whose styles I loved, have evolved and I don't enjoy their newer work nearly as much as the old. Artists like Deppe and Pakoh though, have really stepped into their own world, I didn't like Deppes old work that much back in the day. He was still in his infancy then, as talented as he was even back then, I just couldn't connect with his stuff. Now though, it's impossible to see a Deppe piece and not want to oogle over it for a few hours, days or weeks. He really does the impossible...

And I think MNP is the only artist I could still recognize when I came back, I just absolutely LOVE his work, it's always been so organic and beautiful in its own unique way.

But I should just shut up before I start rambling about other artists hehe...

I will say however, that I will be trying my damnedest for an apprenticeship after we move to Colorado. I have ALWAYS wanted to blow glass, not just pipes but vases, lamps, plates etc. I was literally trying to get Slinger to let me apprentice under him when I was like 13. I have always wanted to work with my hands, making art or designing (engineering), and when you think about it, glass pipes are both art and engineering. The only thing that I would like to do more, is breed marijuana, which i'm a thousand times more confident that I would be damn good at, than lamp working. I would (like to) compare my breeding instincts and ideas to DJ Short. Though I am confident I will be at least pretty good at lamp working, hopefully better than 'pretty good'. I know I will be using photoshop and real lamp working in the future to come up with more designs also.. Once I get a feel for glass and how designs are formed, I can translate that to photoshop...

Thanks again and sorry for the 'rant', I could take up a whole thread page talking about glass... love it.

Great collection!

Thanks AmsterdamnesiA That's probably my favorite piece so far...It's not so big, totally solid...and sometimes used for days on end. It's quite the conversation piece when friends come over. Most of my friends are joint smokers...but get'em medicated with this tube, and sometimes they forget to pass the damn thing and get to looking into it too much!! I've even noticed things missed before...LOL Definitely a favorite of mine...Thanks for the compliments!!

Yep, D-Wreck's style is pretty out there... I too find some of it offensive, but you got to give him some credit for taking it there. Reminds me of Alice Cooper, Kiss, and Black Sabbath back in the day, and nowadays Marilyn Manson would fit the bill perfectly... I don't go to church or anything...but I do have my beliefs, but his style appeals to me not only because of his crazy marbles...but that it is so different from any other artist...That's why I like to collect his work....and I'm no Satanist, and I don't really think he is either...but who knows.

I saw that Hops Collaboration, and dig it for sure, but I haven't seen the WS collab Hops did with 'em. I'll have to check that out!! Wicked Sands seems to be turning up the heat.... A direct move on US tubes don't you think? Same price range anyway....

Thanks again and sorry for the 'rant', I could take up a whole thread page talking about glass... love it..

Yeah me too...LOL... I used to really enjoy talking about growing herbs, but after growing for a while now...it's kinda like work just talking about it...LOL The glass scene is fresh and fun!!
Again thanks for the compliments guys!!

MLC those ak's are incredible. I think the soldiers are cool ( especially the ones with the worked joints...) though I'm a much bigger fan of his older chaos work.

There is nothing I like more than hand spun heady tubes.

Tony is a snob about glass and pot, but at least he doesn't remain ignorant,

Ignorance is bliss. You know sometimes I wish I never got into glass so I could just enjoy smoking with my friends like I did back in high school, when a bong was a bong.

OG is a nice strain, but I feel sad for anyone and their bland pallet of taste that ranks it #1

Well... behold perfection! Hops did a WS colab also, but I didn't dig it too much...

I told Missy from WS that she should get Pakoh to blast a bad ass sand castle on their next colab lol... I think it would be dope, I dont care what anyone says :p

I really love WS. Their tiny tubes are amazing. Such a treat to smoke off. I highly suggest one, two or four of them, in different configurations.. :joint:

Seriously. I plan on having at least 4 if not 5 different WS tinytubes in the future... love them.

I think they have their eyes on Toro, SG and US :D Their shop sells all three I believe, as well as their own tubes... I honestly can not imagine a better hit than one of their tinys with a 10 arm tree. It's amazingly smooth. They just need to be taller... :2cents:

You just need to remove the idea of "status" when viewing art. You can't truly enjoy a Deppe piece for example, without being able to appreciate work by lesser known, lesser valued artists. Deppe is like Michelangelo and the lesser known artist is like a kid in high school. Of course Michelangelos work is going to be far and away more beautiful, but does that make the high school students work any less of a piece of art? Both are passionate artists who value their ability to express themselves through paint and canvas, the difference is that Michelangelo is the more talented painter. He is NOT a more talented artist. He can't take the High School students feelings and accurately portray them, as the student can.

And then who is to say that the student won't end up as the more talented painter of the two?

Art can and should be viewed as anything but a symbol of status. I thoroughly believe the true value of art is lost on whoever sees it as anything relating to status. I consider myself an artist of sorts and I believe other artists would agree with me on this.

You're not lost Tony, you see and appreciate art, you just need to open your eyes a little more to the other side of art, the artists side. If you never recognize lesser artists as artists, and just see them as people who are lesser than "X" artist, then of course you will not be able to appreciate them. You must appreciate them, to truly appreciate the masters.
