I have a Secret Jardin DR80 and it's been cranking out arm sized buds for a while now...no reason to not have a Secret Jardin tent.

I got a growlab 120 a few weeks ago and I am LOVING it. If for some reason you need to be able to look at the closed tent and not even be able to tell there is a light inside it might not be for you. I don't think there is any problem with the window panel leaking light whatsoever. In a few other places there are some pinholes that leak a little light, but that could be fixed relatively easy if its a huge issue for you. So far it seem high quality to me. If I had more room and money I would set up another for a veg chamber but I am just starting out and one grow room will have to suffice for the moment.

Hey Guys. I have a quick question.

I just bought a Darkroom 120, a Can 66 air filter, a 6" S&P SiltentPro fan, a 1000 watt Hortilux Super HPS bulb and a cool tube reflector.

Everything is awesome. Looks great, BUT when I turn on my fan is sucks through the Can filter so hard that all the walls on my tent get sucked in. Like an internal vacuum. I don't like it cause it puts a ton of pressure on the stitiching and zippers.

If I get cold air blowing in to the tent will it reverse the sucking in problem?

Ill have pics up in the next few hours.

Been using a Hydrohut 2x4 for about 2 years without any real issues and I love the thing... I lucked out and got one without the uncomfortable gas passing issue. I don't use any baffles to prevent light leaks on the bottom intake flaps, and in all this time I've had only one branch hermi, but I'm 99% sure that hermi was due to stress, the tent was packed full and that branch was compressed and curling under itself in the back corner. There are slight light leaks at zipper intersections, the manufactures attempt to cover them with the extra flaps was poor at best, but still no issue from the light leaks. My biggest peeve was already mentioned, the negative pressure sucks in the front and back which crowds the ladies and probably rearranges the floros a little. I'm going to run a piece of PVC across the back to help prevent this on one side at least, haven't really figured out a way to do it on the opening side without it being a hassle to deal with every time I open it up. I do have my fan on a speedster but I can only turn it down so much, I'm already fighting a heat issue and went with what I considered the lessor of two evils to keep it as cool as possible.

I also have a DR 40, it was a Mom/mini veg box for a minute, now I have a closet for veg and this has been retired to a drying hut. I have to say I don't care for the DR 40... main issue is the single flap door. I don't like dealing with the single flap on a very small scale tent, would hate to deal with it on anything larger. I do prefer the reflective silver inside over the solid white in my hydro hut. The "Draw String" openings are convenient for quick setup, but with my hut I just run the 4" duct directly through the hole (skipping the add on flanges) and it fits great.

Prior to tents I had a converted a Home Depot cab and built one from scratch... the first is now paint storage the latter was broken down for scrap wood. I really prefer tents over them, they are lighter and thus easier to deal with IMO, I can bring a tent through a small door and set it up inside and breakdown and moving to a new place was a lot easier. On the cost side, from my way of doing things, building a cab isn't cheaper. I don't know where you cats are buying your tents, but try a little online price shopping, plenty of great deals on them to be had. When I converted the cab and built the box, I went way over what I expected on costs... it seemed like there was always another hinge I needed, another 4 feet of foam to seal to buy, another coat of paint ect. I spent less on both of my tents and saved so much work in comparison.

I love your setup Vag.
I would suggest mounting the can filter up inside high in the tent. On the floor right now it's sucking all the fresh air from the vents and not allowing any in the mid to upper parts of the tent.

i've always been concerned about the weight of a can filter hanging from the beams of my homebox xl. it already flexs with the weight if a large sun system hood. ...if that thing fell. goodbye buds.

You could make a stand or buy a premade. I know I've seen both.

This is rare for me to post on my growing outside of the Nam-myoho-rengen-kyo! Daily Smokeout these days yet my friends, I must admit for the past 38 months the HydroHut 4.5x4.5x7.5(or whatever it is) has kept us happy. I've grown so much with this apparatus that I smoked myself silly. Truth be told now I study non-euclidean geometry, dark matter and dark energy with a smattering of superstring and M-theory mumbo jumbo as a result of the medicine produced therein. I chant more than ever and awe shoot even our sex life got better. How's that for a testimonial? lmao!

I'm not gonna go into the ph meters, lights, bulbs, nutes, co2 tanks, regulators, so many fans (until I purchased some nice Sams Club tower fans) but if you wanna a little spot to flower then go right ahead and get one. But for the record I vegged somewhere else so yadda yadda yadda you need two huts for more than 4 runs a year my friend.

The new hydrohut looks soo kewwwwwl, all these huts are sooo fancy. Makes me feel like a dandy for touting their canna-credentials like so, but I cannot lie the hydrohut is the bee's knees!!!

I take a corrugated carboard box and cut a hole for the flex-tube on one side and cut a square opening on the other side and duct tape a filtrete hepa furnace filter to it. I used to use a half sheet but they got real dirty now I use a 20 x20. keeps out all the dust, polen, bugs and dreaded mold spores.

Yea the whole thing about being able to see the light on inside the tent when its all closed is a real no-no:noway: I have a DR150 and this thing is fucking bomb.. Check out my thread if you want to see some current shots of it in action.I run a 1000 watt hps in a Hydrofarm radiant 8" air cooled reflector. I also have a DIY Carbon filter stand that I made out of 2x4's and screws and a power drill.. Thing works like a charm.. Also its a nice place thing to mount circulating fans too. Anyway I would highly reccomend the Secret Jardin line, I know when I move up to 2-4k I will be getting another just because their easy to setup(actually easier to dismantle than to setup now that I think of it... probobly about 20-30 mins to setup and 3-4 to tear down.. also helps to have an extra set of hands arround but I have done it by myself as well). But yea the SJ DR series are the way to go.. shittss is bomb..

Secret Jardin Octopus!!!!

Secret Jardin Octopus!!!!

The tent is ALMOST done. I just have to tape the doors and vents im not using. Just incase any light leaks through the pinholes cause by the stitiching

The A/C is keeping this thing cool as I want it. I can turn it up all the way and have the tent at 65 degrees. I keep it at around 75-80. Also, I took the advice of some posters and hung the filter up in the top back of the tent.

The Octopus!

I just transplanted 8 plants. They hate me right now. Not happy with the move at all. You can see the other 2 in blue cups in the foliage.

Any if you're wondering if thats a bed beside the tent, the answer is yes. My grow is in my bedroom.
