Hello again folks,
It's good to see you all. Thank you kindly for all of the response, it's also good to see other folks/pics growing this plant too.
All of the plants are sexed and separated, plenty have been culled - maybe 10-15%, pollination has occurred and everything is backed-up by clone. All is at it should be at this point me thinks. Culled some whorled phyllotaxy, fasciated stems, a couple females expressing intersexed traits, a few more males doing the same. Feeling really good about the balance. Some seemingly outstanding individuals are already making themselves well known at 4 weeks 12/12, let's run though them and see what happens

do you find intersexded plants very often in DC? I always thought it was a good practice to use males that show female flower for breeding? Maybe it was the seed made from that female flower on a male plant was good to use for breeding. that it would quikly knock down the recurrences of hermies in the next gen? Its been along time since ive read those books.
Agreed i dont think i have seen anything sexyer in a grow room anywhere....
cant wait to see em in a few weeks

I certainly do not find intersexed plants very often in DC. Before the plant was brought indoors, no intersexed traits were noted in decades of growing her - she's never given problems. Bear in mind that these are areas of almost 6 sq meters (8'x8') being lit by single 1000 watt lights, I imagine that the plants along the outside perimeter are being subjected to some stress. Still, among the female population aprox 2% were culled due to expression of intersexed traits (more among the males) - and these plants are being looked through extremely thoroughly at regular intervals.

... I don't know what to think about that ("reversed hermies") but I don't feel this is any time to experiment and those males have been culled. I did however save a few of them in clone form for experimentation at a later date. Perhaps down the road I will cross one to a few "true" females and note the sex ratios. These reversed hermies seem to often show some resin.

I'm sure your right about it being DJ very interesting. I could def see how lower than optimum light levels could cause a few probs, especially on a plant like DC. I would agree that this is prob not the time to experiment! LOL Thanks for posting the pic of the reversed male, I've never actually seen one before. and thanks for the reply. I have mucho respect for you!
