We are all going to die you know. Eddy and I are old enough to have realized long ago that making money isn't enough in life. Making commitments and love are what are important.

:yeahthats:yeahthats:yeahthats:yeahthats:yeahthats:yeahthats - - - that legal tender that they call CASH....it doesnt mean anything.....having loved ones and a family (which this lifestyle certainly helps like-minded people become closer) is the most important thing....and the connections i have made thru being able to "give back" to the people that are terminally ill or just dont wanna take that prescription drug their trust worthy family doctor gave them.....knowin that the substance they prescribe is HIGHLY ADDICTIVE...anyways im rambling its time for my morning waker and baker....

It would be great to make a new strain and call it "Edd Lepp" or "Heady Eddy" or something like that. Sell in a-dam coffee shops 100% legit. Then donate 100% of the proceeds from it to eddy's fight. If we could get the shop owners to go along with that it would be great.

Also donate free cuttings, clones, and buds to patients. U.S.A. wide. The biggest purpose of the strain would be to spread it around to all. The more growers out there the better! Make it a hearty strain so we can go all johnny apple seed too!

OVER GROW THE SYSTEM. The million man grow in combination with the million man smoke out would be unstoppable.

Eddy's story, and gumption have inspired me years to fight the broken system, and provide my own meds. So have you B.O.G. if it wasnt for overgrow I would be in pain, and addicted to pain killers. Over Grow made my quality of life possible.

Dear President Obama,

I am writing to you to request that you intervene in the Federal sentencing of Reverend Charles “Eddy” Lepp. Reverend Charles "Eddy" Lepp of the Multi Denominational Ministry Of Cannabis & Rastafari was sentenced to 10 years in Federal Prison on May 18, 2009 for growing more than 1,000 marijuana plants. Eddy Lepp had notified the Governor, the Attorney General, the Board Of Supervisors of Lake County, the Lake County District Attorney, and the local Sheriff; all by certified mail that he was growing the sacred herb for medicinal and spiritual use – by the members of his ministry.

He was denied a religious defense even after the judge ruled he met all the standards necessary to allow this.

Reverend Lepp protected all members of his church, and was the only one charged. Eddy Lepp was forbidden from entering any real sort of defense to the charges, since federal courts do not allow testimony regarding California’s medical use law.

After four years of litigation, his trial was reduced to two very short days of testimony due to restrictions placed by Judge Marilyn Hall Patel. The whole trial was over in less than one week.

To know that this gentle man is going to prison for a decade at age 57 makes me physically ill. This religious man who so bravely helped so many sick and dying and sense-threatened Californians find relief through the medicine grown on his land is going to spend more time in prison than the average rapist, man slaughterer, and child molester because our country has not yet overcome its prudish impulse to punish people for moral reasons.

President Obama, you can commute his sentence. With the stroke of a pen, you can see that Rev. Eddy Lepp receives no more punishment for being convicted of growing plants for sick people than Scooter Libby received for felony convictions of obstruction of justice, perjury (twice), and providing false statements to federal investigators. Eddy Lepp’s felony conviction will still stand, but we will save the taxpayers the unnecessary burden of feeding, clothing, and housing a man who is no threat to society.

Please Mr. President, you could do the truly just thing. Pardon Eddy Lepp, removing all prison punishment and the felony convictions that loom over the head of this middle-aged Rastafarian minister who grew medical marijuana and now must be punished according to strict adherence to the “rule of law”.

President Obama, the California Medical Marijuana Laws are based on the 10th Amendment to the Constitution. You have taken an oath to uphold the Constitution. I plead with you to have your Department of Justice officials dismiss the case and conviction of Charles “Eddy” Lepp.

Even the Judge in the case was quoted at the Sentencing Hearing saying that "I have to say I think that amount of time is excessive. But it is not up to me to legislate, it is up to Congress,"

The investigation, trial, conviction and sentencing of Charles “Eddy” Lepp are a miscarriage of justice. Please use your Executive powers to end the persecution. PLEASE FREE EDDY LEPP.

Eddy should go on a hunger strike, until he is given his religious freedom back. Contact the local news, and let them know first. Do you think the government will let him starve to death, after taking away his freedom of religion, speech, and his 4th amendment rights? They might.

I love Eddy. He knows that Payaso and I know why he had gone through all this pain. He wants pot legal. It's what's right and Eddy risked his freedom to make a point.

Under Prop 215 no limits were set on collective med grows. Eddy told me he wanted to test the law regarding the federal jurisdiction in California. The supreme court of USA decided the feds did have jurisdiction later on.

Now the 420 law was knocked down in court and the Supreme Court of Cali has rejected the case to back to 215.

Eddy grew a bunch right in sight of the road and it never came to harvest. He had all the people signed up with their med recommendations but the feds disregarded all that.

Mandatory miminum fed sentence is 10 years and Eddy won't flee the country. He is dedicated to the cause for many reasons but remember that Eddy is an ex vietnam vet and he is pissed off about many things like a lot of us are. His lovely wife, Linda who Mrs. BOG and I loved dearly died of Cancer not that long ago.

She was the reason for Eddy to fight. She had chemo and needed medical marijuana like to many people. I loved to smoke my herb with Linda and I remember that she felt my sour bubble was good shit. I would ask Linda not how she was in the typical way, "How are you" but instead I always asked her how she felt right now. She almost always answered, "Great"!

We are all going to die you know. Eddy and I are old enough to have realized long ago that making money isn't enough in life. Making commitments and love are what are important.

Eddy was and is ambition. He wants to change the world. I want to change the world too but I just don't have the balls to commit to a crusade as completely as Eddy has.

I told Eddy he should leave the country and so did that judge who is about to sentence him. But Eddy is resolute. Can you say you would be under the circumstances?

I bow to Eddy Lepp and say what an honor it is to have him call me friend. If you knew him and his true motivations all doubts would be forgotten. My hero. BOG

Yeah...wow....where are all the stand-up guys like Eddie? Who will take his place?

Different era, different breed.....hopefully the message is not lost.

Hat's off to the brave :joint:

Very well said BOG, without people like eddy medical patients wouldn't have what we do today. we owe him a lot, I wish everyone, just for one day, could drop everything and just do what eddy might do, just go out and do something to help support the movement. I know I DO!

We the people have the power to make a change but what good is it going to do if we don't use our rights as US citizens to make change and fight for what we believe in. Instead we stand here and let this fucking governement screw us, The very government that is strongly tied to all US based Pharmaceutical companies. The same guys wrongfully spending our tax dollars is no different than the guy in the white coat telling you to take prozac instead of smoking cannabis. These drug companies are writing of huge pay off's to doctors and government officials. This is all legal OFCOURSE! It's so sad, The world is blinded by money.

!!!FREE EDDY!!!

We need to do something man... especially after reading Bushyoldgrowers message about why Eddy Lepp is the man he is. It blows my fucking mind that people like him could even be considered a criminal. The real criminals are the people that could accuse a man of his stature and age and especially his motive and than have the audacity to send that man behind bars for ten fucking years?!?! FUCK THAT, sign me up for that march and all the goons I bring along. FREE EDDY

With all due respect.... Umm, I think.....

Eddie went WAYYYYYY to far... The movement was Never aided by these actions... 30K plants, in plain view of Hwy 20....? Sheesh... It is not - nor ever was that mellow in NorCal, no matter what HIGH TIMES erroneously publishes..... Especially, after High Times published all that junk. And the Marijuana, Inc. TV "Docufarce," shown twice weekly to feed the publics' bottomless curiosity...

Believe it or not, Rural NorCal does not accept eccentrics very well.... UNless they are female, of course.... Or a male wearing a Flannel shirt and driving a Monster Truck... (The seemingly incongrouous, ubiquitous Whitebread, Xenophobic, Socially Inept, Redneck/Hippie/wannabe-Thug personality)..

I don't know what he expected..... Did you ever read the signs at the gate of his property...? Pretty Ballsy/Provocative.. Just asking for trouble. NorCal LEO's ALWAYS go after those who act flagrantly or flashy.... I surmise he got just what he thought he'd get... Martyrdom for the cause...

Hopefully, he won;t have to sit too long...

Thanks Reckless Eddie.....

Some folks just don't understand that nothing will change until we stand up for our rights and make a statement. Like the ORIGINAL Tea Party, how outrageous that must have seemed to colonial Americans, dumping cases of perfectly good tea into Boston Harbour in protest...however the protest was done peacefully...as was the scene at Eddy's, quite peaceful and filled with loving "family" members...

However, spreading unfounded rumours and innuendos makes me wonder why some folks are even members here, except perhaps to stir up trouble within our cannabis community?

And as for the reference that there is great "intolerance" in Northern California, I beg to differ. Living here in Lake County (as rural as one can get in Northern California) is a treat for the tolerant, folks of all stripes live here in peace. Except for the raiding parties of CAMP and the DEA life is very peaceful around here...can't even recall the sound of a police siren in the last year in my community.

Eddy is in Lompoc prison now. The party was great and horrid. Big macho men crying their eyes out. About 8 cop cars showed up to close it down. Eddy quickly calmed them down and they left without a battle. The DEA was just as rude when Eddy turned himself in. They hate Eddy cause Eddy made fools of them. I was honored to give Eddy a lifetime achievement award from WAMM. Eddy cried cause he feels Wamm is the collective he honors most. This award meant more to Eddy than I can ever convey. Thank you Valerie and Mike Corral.

Peace,
