Gutted, they took the vidoe down for some reason. Would of loved to laugh at the old goon. He looks pretty cross in the picture. Not sure why he'd want to set up a prank like that on himself. Who wants a bloke dreseed in bondage gear sticking his ass in your face on live tv when your cd is bombing down the charts.

I saw this live and thought it wasn't staged, because of his reaction. But this post seems to be more on point. Most likely for the movie.

I hope no one is shocked by the fact it was staged.....the only "real" unstaged shit is on the show COPS (fvckers)

Em wasn't getting enough "airtime" with his target audience....what better way then on MTV ?

I think the fact it was Sacha gets Em off the hook with the whole "tough guy" thing.....Think about it....People expect him to do shit like this. Look at all the people he "punked" in his first movie.

The whole MTV awards show was a series of pre-arranged 'acts', i watched it last night and i was biting my tongue the whole way through..'cheesey', but with some good bits in it (some would argue none if were honest) was my conclusion.
I'm a Cohen fan,i cant wait for Bruno and i like some of MNM's tunes so i just took it for what it was,a publicity stunt,no more no less.

i think we need to open a poll, to see who thinks it was staged, and who thinks its for real.

I think it was for real, he obviously was very upset about the whole thing....

He LOVES putting ppl on the spot unawares. That's his whole M.O.

And this stunt was either an ad for his up-"coming" movie, Bruno, or it was filmed to be part of it.

In either case, for his humor to work, he must catch the person unawares of what is about to happen, just like in his movie, Borat.

Doing this kind of schtick is very European. The Dutch used to have a show called Ushi Van Dyke, where a Japanese looking reporter (actually a blond Dutch woman), would ask very naive, but hilarious questions of famous Americans like Keith Carradine (who said she was "fucking hilarious") or Donny Osmond (who she got to sing her puppy love). The interviewees never know until the end of the interview that it's all a joke.

No doubt Eminem, a pre-eminent homophobe, is plotting his revenge right now...

Em is a prankster. Staged.

That was Eminem's way of fooling around while also being able to leave early.
We all know how much he surely loves sitting there watching Zack Efron and Robert Pattinson accept their golden popcorns. The sooner to leave the better.

Why would MTV air it? They have delays for these sorts of things?
They would have had to seat Eminem directly below the area, lower him and test it several times...
MTV would have had to be a part of the deal for sure.
If Eminem knew about it? probably, but I keep trying to tell myself he wouldn't do that kind of "Ass Kissing" and how funny it was if he didn't know....LOL

Eminem himself said today it was staged. Said he went back to his hotel room and pissed himself laughing for 3 hours watching reactions on TV. I knew that fucker was in on it. LMAO.

The ONLY self-depracating person in rap, thank GOD someone is. Too much serious 'i'm hard' bullshit.
