Hi guys
Excellent thread for UK growers. It is really annoying to hear about all these great products people are buying at Wal-Crap or some other US store that we cant get to.
Thanks for the tips for online shops Verdant. I got some worm castings on the way from Harrod.

no worries - i also found a place , independent supplier, that does a 25kilo bag of wormcastings delivered for about 15 quid - but ill post that when they arrive as i havent tried them before

Have we got a place saying which uk stores are cool to order equipment from around here? I ordered from clevergreen and got a very fast delivery time and great email response times. Just letting the ukers know we have more options that just growell.

greens, 3counties & clevergreen are my three faves, growell are very overpriced on most things.

For all outdoor growers, I saw this on the LBS garden warehouse site that Verdant has tipped. Not seen one before (maybe I am slow) but simple, very inexpensive auto watering system for outdoor pots..

i just bought a set of something very similar from harrod horticultural for my indoor grow cab when i go away - ill let you know how i get on with them

outside i use an lbs leaky hose system and an automatic waterer on the tap which works quite well.

growell are very overpriced on most things.

They also send you packages with GROWELL HYDROPONICS written in big letters on the side, not very stealth.

I noticed the UK are valueing plants at silly numbers again. They had started to value them at street prices, roughly £200 per plant, but in the latest bust, they are valuing them at £500 per plant, on a 1,500 plant grow they just busted. Total valued at £750,000. Grown by a 15 year old girl, whose been arrested and charged.

I suspect she broke rule 1.

She isnt 15,viets always say that,and the grow is/was actually in a flat above a second hand furniture shop in Sunderland :wink: The previous tenants had been evicted for being troublesome neighbours

Hi, are we talking about the same bust? Is sunderland in northumberland? That's interesting if that's the case. I read it on ceefax the other night when typing in the tv guide code for teletext while on the bbc and the latest news popped up It said that the girl was 15 and had been taken into care rather than to prison.

Sunderland isnt in Northumberland,its Tyne&Wear,and yes its the same bust,I dont think there would have been 2 1500 plant busts on Tuesday tended by "15" year old viets in the north east,it was the same bust,she went to court wednesday morning.

I'm not in the UK but close enough. Cops seem to be making examples out of growers in my city as of late. One dude Got 5 months for cultivating 8 plants about 3 weeks ago.
This could also be due to the fact he told them he gave it to friends, therefore supplying.
What would they do if they caught me with 20??? Mines all personal though, self medication and all that. I've got the X-Rays to prove my ailments. Hows the weather over there at the moment??? Where I am we seem to be getting a lot of heavy showers. I'm just waiting to throw out a ew ladies in the bog.

Today mate?Slightly overcast,warm'ish,yesterday was a scorcher My ladies are already outside.The big viet grows they make an example of,there was a surgeon caught a while ago,they actually found evidence he had sent 3-4 million back to Vietnam in the space of 3 years?I think he was snetenced to 3 or 3 1/2 years?Postcode lottery mate,but around here 20 plants is a slap on the wrist
