150 watt, cabinet grow unknown strains

So this is my first hps grow starting it off right with a 150!! I've been realy impressed with the results I've seen with the 150 club. So i gutted out my dresser and am sticking a 150 hps with 2 or 3 plants.
SO i dont think im aircooling the light, dont want to take away any lumens or light.
The box is: width-length-height 15-29.5-44...Im still trying to figure out that intake and exhaust. Does anybody have any tips or links to a good model. I still need to get a fan and carbon filter..so we will se how that goes....Im really still figuring out if i want one..im thinking i mind aswell get one!! If any ideas, advice is welcome.

I got a mix with fox farm ocean forest..Ive used it before and it seems to work out good well in the outdoors. Im gonna be setting up a Scog net around the flowering time.

A popular exhaust choice is the stanley or lasko blower...though its 'in season' now and the price locally here is $70, might as well get an S&P.

The 100 works well for most small cabs. Though you should calculate your total cubic feet and use that to pick a fan.

Intake you can either use dark room louvers which are pricey but can be found for around $20 online + shipping. I chose to go with 90 degree PVC elbows with the inside painted black. Its cheaper and you can add/delete them pretty easily.

You can make your own carbon filter pretty easily, there are plenty of tut's on here just search. Save you lots of money and you can refill them easily.

If you use FFOF try adding some perlite for better drainage and/or coco.

Yeah i have mixed quite abit of per-lite for my young seedlings. They are under 40watts of cfl and in a make shift cab...There about 20 days old, some will be going outside, the best will be flowered out in my 150 watt cab style grow.

Im gonna be getting a 150watt hps from htg still deciding if i want to air cool the light..DOnt think i will need to because of my grow area stays a good temp. With good air flow than this should be no problem. Ill put a couple small fans in the cab too, just to make sure.

Im going to be purchasing a 95 CFM ActiveAir Blower System. I will be exhausting out the back of the cab so i can kind of conceal my carbon filter. I will pull the intake air somewhere from the bottom, havent really figured it out yet.

Yeah word to that, ill be getting me a pc fan to blo right at my light or a fan i can hang towards the heat.

Some advice needed tho???? ON my carbon filter should i put it before my exhausting fan, or should i have my fan pull the air than go threw the carbon filter. Im not sure if it really matters..

Well my seedlings are day 24 23 22. Looking pretty nice, going to try to add some light soon. How long do u guys usually keep them in beer cups? The red ones?

Where can i get some small clip on fans?
Do you guys find that elbows in your duckting really decreases air flow for exhaust...Im gonna have my sucking air than going threw some ducting than threw a carbon filter outside the cab? What do u guys thing..

they have little 4 inch fans at walmart and other places like that. i got like 3 of em. i use 2. 1 for blowing air around the cab and another one at the top to help suck air to my vents.

intake at the bottom exhaust out the top.

You might want to check out the S&P inline fans at HVAC. I've heard nothing but good things. Just got my TD100x today. Haven't hooked it up yet though.

Hey Coon you want to pull air through a carbon filter, not push air out it. I read in the 150 watt hps club that it pulls 4 times more efficiently than pushing through a filter. We need some pics

Day 28 of flowering...pics in about 2 days

Well around day 28 or 29, I was going with a 150 hps, but ive been lacking some funds so went out and got 4 26 watt cfls and 2 23 watters. The temps stay around 74 to 80 during the day, and drops a couple degrees at night...This is all from random ass bagseed but they are turning out decent.

I started out with 7 plants only 3 were female......Could have been worse. After i get some funds, gonna be looking to do some upgrades. Im still finishing my bigger cab. this is just a small thing to do for now. Ive been using distilled water with pretty good results, havent checked ph once(still need the tester) Seems like there hasnt been any problem. Im using fox farm grow big, along with some shit from alaska seems to be doing the job....I just gave them plain water today.

The past couple days Ive been seeing alot of Trich activity, I was getting a little scared for a moment...I just want them to be sticky!!!!

Yeah I kick myself in the ass everyday for fucking my camera up. Was scouting for outdoor plots, and theres a fence u have to duck under, and its over a nicely flowing creek..The shit went right out of my shirt pocket...FUUUCCKK too poor to buy another decent one

Well my plants are doing good Day 40 of flowering....My light schedule goes 8am to 8 pm..My alarm clock did not go off so I woke up an hr late. Is this going to cause any type of stress or anything? I guess now ill just turn them on at 9 to 9.
