there ya go folks the flower date was 3-18-09 so do the math the pics were taken yesterday... and we are down to 4 plants now lol

Looking good, how much root mass do you have in that container? Do you think with the full 8 plants it would be getting crowded for the roots?

Might want to give their root mass a trim from time to time ;) Help keep things flowing through smoothly. :)

If you only trim a bit it at a time they won't really slow or stall their growth.

Thanks for the love everybody this shit is funny to watch to me being so small and everything... I have a Glad container that is shorter in length but it's a good 2-3" deeper and holds 64oz of fluid. I'm thinking 2 plants in it would do better than this setup and I also got some more foam that is like neoprene to make plugs to hold the stems in place so I don't need to rw cubes which I hate anyway.. For those of you needing a good foam for bubble cloners or dwc systems without net pots Rite Aid has these foam boards for gardening to cushion your knees and it's PERFECT for what we want it for and it's only $3 and it's 3/4 " thick and 17" long 8" wide so you can get plenty of plugs out of it!!!

How would you compare this to the Dr Bud soil method in terms of maintenance? It is tedious dunking lots of cups. How often are you adding water, or changing the res, PH'ing etc.

Well for the lazy grower this is a dream setup lol just mix nutes and fill res, then I just add to it when it gets low and change my res every 2 weeks and they seem to be happy with no signs of deficiency.. But I really love my DrBud system when I have it working right,I can say once you get your shit going how you want DONT CHANGE SOILS cuz I'm having all kinds of problems with plants not hitting the sweet spot in my new mix and it doesn't make sense to me...

Hey Thunderkel what are your res temps? I would be curious in trying this but my bubble cloner stays around 78 with no heater. Probably too hot yes?

That's pretty cool! It would be interesting to try a perpetual with 8 of those containers, fresh smoke every week.

Thundurkel: The Patio Plus is still giving you shit?

No it's the Black Gold Waterhold Coco Blend that gave me all my problems and stunted the growth of my girls.. The 7 new clones I put straight into some fresh Patio Plus and hit with water and Superthrive are doing GREAT!!! I should be back to normal in a few weeks, my moms are also back on track now that I put them back into Patio Plus and top dressed em with some Happy Frog All Purpose 5-5-5

As for my res temps I'm not sure but that cab they are in is around 82 - 87 with lights on so I'm sure my res is warmer than your bubble cloner I say give it a try:joint:

Well I have bad news folks... over the last 2 days I have lost 2 more plants for no reason at all!!! yesterday I look in the cab when lights came on and one of the girls was all limp like she needed water! they rest looked fine and then today the same thing with another one!! I agree this is TOO small cuz at 5-6 weeks they should've been fatter and they looked like they were at 3 weeks mostly so I don't know if it will work at all but it was fun while it lasted....

It was a worthy experiment. Thanks for sharing it with us!

What about 20oz bottle auto-pots next? :p

I'm actually switching to 20oz party cups and I'm doing Hempy Buckets with them cuz the way I'm cloning now is straight into a cup of soil using Dip n Grow and no dome is needed! So I figure this way will be easiest on me cuz I wont have to transplant the clone and wait for growth ect.. This way I just keep em under 24hr light till they grow to that starting point then flower them. When I used cups once before I did one that I flowered at 5" and it finished at 16" with 8.4g so we'll see how it goes
