the kali i smoked was pure fire, intense head high. and i have a journal here of the sadhu i just finished. damn couch lock city on the one pheno, and stoned as hell on the other without the couchlock.

The hashberry was very consistent and quick. I didn't grow it, but I saw all of the females do their thing. The kali had 1 short, greasy lookin pheno (indy), which was ok, and a taller, sexier pheno that was lookin and smellin great till she went wacky late in flower. She was the only plant in the room that went, so I'm pretty sure it wasn't my setup. I pulled her early, and it showed. She had a nice skunky/floral smell and taste, but the high was very shortlived. I feel like I got what I paid for. But I don't feel like they were a good deal, because for the same $$$ I ran MrN Shit, and it was easy, fast, consistient skunky/funky fire. that was a good deal, IMO.

Yeah you are right about that I forgot that Mr.Nice puts more than 10 in the packs. However I still have a higher out of pocket expense.

There are pros and cons to more/less seeds per pack. I find Shanti's logic flawless when the overall business attitude is factored in. Pay the same (give or take, there are 18 packs of MrN seed from $32.25 to $161 available RIGHT NOW), get almost twice as much. Pay for shipping less. Have extra seed on hand more often. BUT, yes, your initial outlay may (or may not) be more (the packs start at under 35 bucks).

If I sound like a shill, too bad . All of the MrN plants that I've grown were fire. Some were far from 'practical'. Some I didn't like the high or the taste. But they ALL rocked me. No plants have been prone to show nanners, and NO females have grown balls, or gotten to the point where they had to be removed from the room. I make crosses, and f2's and whatever, but as long as shanti has a flavor that I haven't tried, it will be on the to-do list. Not pressing, but to do. Right now doing the Lanina for the first time, and have a few Devils floating around for an encore.

IMO the best seeds on the planet can be had for under $10/per from a certain nice guy (but everyone knows that by now, lol)
Anything over $10/per is hype.

EDIT - I had a ssh that looked all 'tobacco mosaicey' from the get go, and I scrapped him early. No other weak plants. My MrN crosses out perform the other breeder seeds I've done as a group. I have only bought ~6 non MrN packs, and only the Orange Diesel was more than $5/seed. I grew a shitload of Dee-N-Ay stuff, and THAT is some overpriced unstable crap, IMO. $10/seed, and LOTS of shitty plants. Some brain knockers, but LOTS of shitty plants. So I bought the advertising for the Spice, the rest is here in the thread.

In my opinion,Shantibaba/MNS is the finest old-school genetics seedbank currently in operation,hands-fucking-down.
Shanti and myself have been acquainted for a long time,we get along famously well,and I think the world of him and his work.
In all these years,there's never been a cross word between us.
Shanti produced/produces in bulk acreage that I can only dream about,and his facilities are,or have been,world-class.
That,mah' fren',allows a lot of leeway in pricing that boutique breeders like myself cannot match. Like say wally world vs. a tiny mom n' pop store. No contest in inventory moved,etc.
In closing,people....
Various varieties,finished,have various values that vary,verrily,by various varieites of people.

i think the central banks and inflation are too blame, if it wasnt for them that pack of jack would be 6 dollars, you can also thank your currupt politicians for voting for currupt laws. Here's what I'll do....Only for the SSCH.
If an informed consumer (read: MUST be a provably competent grower) that buys the SSCH and grows them....feels that the cost was unfair versus their results,due to inferior genetics and not Grower Error,then upon ("unsatisfactory") completion,I will credit them equal purchase against a future Reservoir Seeds purchase.
Bear in mind,this is a HAZE,and you need to have your shit (provably) straight to get it right. I (we) will be wanting pictures (starting with the unopened original seed pack from SB) and documentation,over the grow,so we can all see that the observation is legit,if there's an issue.
I know there won't be.
The reason for the high RETAIL cost?
Hazes are finicky to breed with,and a (very) minimal number of seeds were produced vs. a lot of time/money/space used,and that = higher wholesale price = higher retail price.
(I could have auctioned them all,and they'd have finished WAY north of $200USD,but I chose to price them a bit higher,wholesale,and release them as BINs-)
This is a well-worked Haze-mothered hybrid,and I'm positive it'll produce some of the world's finest marijuana. Ya' can't put a price on that!

i dont got problem with high prices. i think if someone WORKS a strain, i.e. selective breeding ,,, NOT POLLEN CHUCK, they should charge what they want. its like your prescription, sure it is cheap as shit to manufacture, but the research and development is the reason for the price. OK. you pay your dues, your dues have to pay you. but what really pisses me off is seeing untested pollen chuck being sold for regular price. and mods arent even allowing for open conversation regarding said "breeders". fake seeds, f2s. the only seeds i buy are direct and in person. cuts out alot of bullshit propagated by job security....

I wish I could "reserve" seeds for Valued Customers, but unfortunately Seedbay/SeedBoo isn't set up that-a-way. I know for a fact that there are enough customers who will actually click and PAY so that Seedbay could relieve a lot of strain on the system and increase efficiency by eliminating dead-weight,non-payers.
Fyi,only sightly more than 60% of all closed auctions actually get paid for,the rest are re-listed over & over,until sold. What an ass-pain,and it raises costs for everyone involved,and it's why I don't usually bother-which is a shame,cuz' peeps lose out.
What I OUGHT to do is go Seed Boutique ONLY,and that way it eliminates ALL b.s. hassle that Seedbay entails. Like this: Send your $ - get your seeds - they're removed from SBoo inventory - move on. Simple as THAT,but far less convenient for the consumer,with no savings implied.
World currency is at all-time lows, nothing's worth shit, yet people expect prices in this business,of all of them,to stay stable and/or get lower.
That's amusing, and improbable.
Even world banks are fucked,get the picture?
