A couple different pheno's of Chrystal.... the slightly purple one is just starting to have its trichs turn amber. So it is a few days to a week out... the other two are just a mix of clear and cloudy, so they have about 2 weeks left. (And yes I do clip small buds to check the trichs instead of checking it on plant, it allows me to test the high throughout the process as well.... also I only do this when getting a strain or pheno dialed in)

Got a Misty and Big Buddah Blue Cheese in flower now. Starting more of both of those and some Jock Horror and some more Chyrstal's that I bred together.

Yeah, on the review sites I hear alot of good things about these guys then there always that one post saying, "didn't get mine, won't return e-mails, scammers". I almost don't believe that shit when I see it because I know the people that run these sites are tryong to make everybody happy.

Bought some Nirvana New Purple Power 10 pack the other day and got 20 seeds in there in 2 baggies each with 10 seeds. Seeds look pretty much the same so I guess all are New Purple Power.

Is this 20 seeds thing usual with Nirvana.

I guess I am a fan now

This is from the plant on the right in my last post. I was more happy with the results from this grow. HK was easy to grow, and i got a great pheno out of one of the two females i had. the buds seemed to be taking their time filling in, then they just started filling in the past couple of weeks. I did like the smell and taste of bubblelicious more, though.

Well you would have been a lot happier if u waited 2 weeks minimum.

Wait for the calyxes to swell and the hairs to retreat and chhange colour and if possible use a jewellers scope)

That is some unripe bud. Not to hate or anything i made the same mistakes many years ago

checked the trichs with a scope. mostly cloudy so i chopped.

OH , well not all strains are the same , it just doesn't look ripe , when it is ripe you really get an extra covering of trichs.


This says nothing bout the effect though , i sometimes had to cut outdoor plants at this stage and still knocked me out.

I just said this cuz all the hairs are still very long and white , and the flesh was still forming itself on the bud..

Maybe next time try harvest at different stages to see what u like , but how it looks from here on the picture it doesn't look completely ready.

Hmmm - uneven germ rates.

4 of each into peat pellets - Jock Horror, White Rhino and Bubblicious. Same depth, watering, everything.

All 4 JH have sprouted - along with 100% of C99 x GF (Wallyduck), 100% Hashberry (Mandala), and 75% White Skunk (White Label).

None of the Bubblicious, nor the White Rhino, nor the 1 Blockhead have sprouted.

Strange, eh?

I have used Nirvana beans in the past w/ very good germ rates and have been very pleased w/ the gear about 90% of the time. I recently grapped a 4 pack from one of the last weekend specials here on Seedbay. I have just soaked the last 3 beans from a pack of Blue Mystic and I have only to see one seed crack and show its tail (1 of the last 3...fingers crossed). I was wondering how long these beans have been sitting in the vault? I also think it may depend on the popularity of the strain, as others may sit for longer periods of time before being sold. But Bubblicious, WR, and BlueMystic seem like beans that would be selling, no? I have PM'ed DutchGrown to see if anyone else has been experiencing bad germ rates w/ Nirvana gear lately. Haven't received a response as of yet. Glad I only laid out $80 for the 4 packs, which is an awesome deal, just hope the others arent sleepers too. I was really looking foward to trying to find at least one nice BB plant out of the pack. Perhaps others will chime in w/ their recent experiences w/ these Nirvana strains. Stay growin.

Thanks, dude - I too have had great results w/ Nirvana beans.

The uneven crack rate was interesting - not scattered amongst the strains, but some 100%, and other nil up to now. Exact same conditions, everything.

I am big Nirvana fan - we'll see what happens...

I have a cali-o in flower now that's from some old stock 2000 . it is the sativa cali-o .
what i have heard from wally is they changed it with more indaca. but i remembered i made a batch of seeds from these seeds because it was so good. its not the strongest like c99
but it is one of the best all around good plant to grow and smoke.its high is sativa it flowers like a indaca . great bag appeal .and the most important things of all is taste and flavor.
besides c99 it is the best bud i have smoked as far as taste and smell. its the kinda pot that you take on day trips beach, camping,walking, your girl will fall in love with it.
kinda reminds me of some old school sativa in the high where every one has fun.

its basically a good skunk strain. i think it was produced before nirvana started using a
purple plant to cross every thing with. this is the cali-o plant i just put into flower.

I belive this is cali o i had 4 seeds to start 2 WW and 2 Cali O. I did not tag them well when i first started so i dont know what i have here. I killed 1 by droping the light on it as i tried to raise it up lol then 2 were males and i have this one left what you think WW or Cali O ??

I was going to order Nirvana's Afghani but he's sold out just recently, he's also out of his White Widow which was my second choice. So now I'm at a loss as to what to do. He has Sensi's Afghani #1 and Dutchman's Afghanica, Sensi's Afghani looks and sounds the same (I'm assumeing that's where Nirvana's originates) but it's almost twice the cost. So should I keep my fingers crossed and hope fora restock? Or does Nirvana restock the same strains? If he does restock Afghani how long do you think it will take?

One other unrelated question, anyone know what the freebie strain is? Or is it random? I love the idea of passing around strains... even just one seed at a time.

have you considered using a different seed bank to get the strain? the attitude may have nirvana's afghani in stock.
