Please don't feel shameful. I think I can say that we have all been there. I know I used to be a real fucked up person. Twelve years ago my mom died of ovarian cancer. At the same time my "friends" introduced me to crack coke cane. I then proceeded to spend the next five years of my life trying to subconsciously commit suicide. One day at the end of that time I realized that if I kept down that path I would defiantly die. at that time I was smoking crack every day. The next day I cashed my last check bought a greyhound ticket and with basically the clothes on my back traveled halfway across the country to show up at my dads door to ask him if I could stay with him. During the next five years I did o.k. relapsed a few times but still continued to drink quit a bit. During the last six or so months of that time I was dating a full blown alcoholic I drank myself to the point where I was sick of drinking. One day I woke up and didn't want to drink any more so I stopped cold turkey we broke up shortly after that, and I quit smoking cigs. I started out on two patches a day. oh I guess I should tell you that I stopped smoking weed during the time that I was smoking crack. So at this point I was completely sober I am telling you man shit happened so fast it was sick. like a less then a month latter I met my wife, and we fell in love so fast. two years latter we got married and moved to the west cost it is now two years after that and man I am soooo Happy. I Know with out a dought that my Wife is my soul mate for this life time.

so the moral of the story is that it is completely possible to go from the gutter to true happiness in a very very short time considering the span of things and you should not give up.

I just recently decided to try and treat my depression with canna and let me tell you after all this time I was still having nightmares and day dreams about smoking crack, and then when I did my first dose of canna they completely vanished along with my depression. I monitor my canna use very closely and use it very sparingly to treat my depression.

It's very cool when PTD posts Ikeda's Guidance, then I see Ikeda repeat T in da video

It's very cool when PTD posts Ikeda's Guidance, then I see Ikeda repeat T in da video

I'm usually focused on making sure everyone is safe if I'm doing a behind the scenes group activity during kosen-rufu gongyo, but this month I had a great experience watching some portions of the video. The video possessed quotes that PTD recently posted that preempted my viewing of the meeting referenced in his quotes. The itai doshin created on this thread with the greater SGI movement is incredible.

There are no outcasts in our pracice unless you decide to keep slandering The Law incessantly. We have even discussed in the thread how some vile perpetrators of slander against The Law can still find themselves attaining Englightenment, "Poison into Medicine concept" and "Poison Drum concept", et al. It is very important that we continue to study this Buddhism diligently and by checking into this thread you achieve that aspect in a very succinct manner.

This Buddhism you study on this thread is CORRECTLY PRACTICE WITH OTHERS, you cannot do this alone on the lonely rock of "cogito ergo sum" ("I think therefore I am"). Boldly overcoming any hindrance that makes it difficult to meet with others to chant and to welcome others into your life, is the beginning of the most powerful revolution you can ever begin to undertake. A human revolution beginning beyond the mind and within the self, where the true self can be found.

Chant Nam-myoho-renge-kyo! fearlessly, admonish those enemies of The Lotus Sutra and embrace humanity are guidelines I follow (especially when I'm bouncing back from another low-point). Chanting Nam-myoho-renge-kyo! unleashes true freedom, I'm trying my best to chant more each day as difficult as it may be with so many other things on my plate.

Hang tough buddies!

Sorry I had to leave for a little to accomplish my morning trading and cleaning responsibility. Anyways...

In my experience shame only leads to more shame. It is much better to cough it up learn from your mistakes and move on. Everybody falls off of there surfboard it is the surfer who gets back on it.

Chant NAM-MYOHO-RENGE-KYO and you will be shone the way.

Peace Brothers,
En

"How great is the difference between the blessings received when a sage
chants the daimoku and the blessings received when we chant it?" To
replay, one is in no way superior to the other. The gold that a fool
possesses is no different from the gold that a wise man possesses; a
fire made by a fool is the same as a fire made by a wise man.

Faith means infinite hope, and infinite hope resides in the SGI. As
long as your faith is sincere, infinite glory, boundless good fortune
and endless victory will unfold before you. You will never find
yourselves at a dead end.

Wanna hear something that sort of freaked me out this weekend? The wife told me she just realized--and had no idea of this when she named them--but the Japanese pronounciation of the kanji in the asian names of two of my sons is: 'Matsu' and 'Oka'. Hearing that, I knew Gohonzon was letting me know that the continuous flow is flowing. Let's flow on!

Party at Eagle Peak! Be there or be square! The above quote from The Orally Transmitted Teachings say it all:

"Nam-myoho-renge-kyo is the greatest of all joys."

That blows me away T! The Mystic Law does truly flow! Thank You Very Much!

BONZO:i stopped at the exact moment you did to, wondering "what else can i do", the answear ofcourse is, do something you want, not just think about it

i was invited to have a drink with my girl schoolmate today, the one that we laid eyes on eachother...now my usual step in a mood that i am, not knowing what should i do, i would just keep it quiet and let the outer things lead the way(wait for the school to end and then forget about it, remember i already have a gf)....but Gohonzon tells me to act, and i didn't refuse the invitation and did what i never did before. we talked for an hour or more, she opened herself i opened myself...it was a compassionate and beautiful moment in my life, and above all, i hugged her with all my compassion in the end, thanking her for this chance, not just thinking how beautiful she is and how horny that makes me, wonderful!
and above all, i asked Gohonzon for this, and my actions led to exact fullfilment of my wish or should i say cause:)--->this is another proof for me that if you do things the right way everything will fall toghether just fine in time, and every day is another Present letting us do it the right way, no matter what and where but in The moment

now all this doesn't solve the problems i have with my gf or wake up all the people i want to wake up(maybe giving me strenght in the places i had none before?), but it gives another perspective on my life which is far more important to me at this point, i don't know why, but it feels like it

i love you and all the persons i meet or talk to more and more, thank you

Nam-Myoho-Renge-Kyo, i love you my beautiful flower

p.s.
thomas, i'm right here, right when u want me:)
one favour i shall ask:
have my gf's and my family in mind while you chant, help me sending them the vibes to help them start polishing their diamond, they are all in great risk

i thank you with all my heart!

Hi Everyone! I'm beaming in from the Cosmos,....... how could I ever disappear?.....I might run, but I surely can't hide from "The Mystic Law."

Life is a Blessing,.......... every precious moment promises hope and is full of inspiration, if you take it all in.

Nam Myoho Renge Kyo!

Your Brother in Arms.........still holding on to the rope, how could I ever let go?

We must put down firm roots; we must be strong. Inner strength is a prerequisite for happiness, a prerequisite for upholding justice and one's beliefs. One of the Buddha's titles is "He Who Can Forbear." To courageously endure, persevere and overcome all difficulties-the Buddha is the ultimate embodiment of the virtue of forbearance. The power of faith gives us the strength to weather and survive any storm. Perseverance is the essence of a Buddha.

From the Writings of Nichiren Daishonin
Thursday, December 11, 2008

Over and over I recall the moment, unforgettable even now, when I was about to be beheaded and you accompanied me, holding the reins of my horse and weeping tears of grief. Nor could I ever forget it in any lifetime to come. If you should fall into hell for some grave offense, no matter how Shakyamuni might urge me to become a Buddha, I would refuse; I would rather go to hell with you. For if you and I should fall into hell together, we would find Shakyamuni Buddha and the Lotus Sutra there.
