Whats is the ALL TIME BEST SMOKE.

For me its like 2 or 3 different time frames:
70s- I smoked everything available- SoCal--- Out of all those imported strains like Columbo gold, Panama red, Oaxacan, Michoacan, etc lots of tastey earthy spicey stoney stuff. some swampy Columbian All the Mexis like etc the Very best in that time was a couple specific different Thai sticks which were extremely better than the average Thai stick. Very very stoney couple hits bright red eyes and incapacitation for 3-4 hours or... The Hawiian Elephant which we only got one time but was so potent you only need one hit (but 2 or 3 are better!) to get PSYCHO RIPPED and it was extremely electric set you phisically abuzz baddness. Anybody else try that stuff?
Then 80s moved back to NorCal (where I was originally from) just in time for a awesome parade of the absolute bomb buds from Humboldt and other like areas, nearly all killer but no names on any of them. Some real gems. Im sure I smoked some of the heirloom NorCal strains that are mentioned around here but I just didnt know what they were. There really were so many good bags in Norcal in the 80s and... 90s which is when I got serious about growing and made my first online seed buy 1995 Aloha White Widow.. Grew some huge monsters outdoor.. That was really good but not really able to compete with the Norcal budz I was gettin... but now that everything has a name, I would say my current favorites are Soud D IBL and Sour Bubble and the tastey purps that comes around here once in a while thats super sweet and potent.. called just purps.
sorry to drone on... but I cant choose one all time best.

I like these threads, I really like getting the info straight from the people who know. After a while, a consensus builds with these things, and you pretty much figure out which way you want to go, strain wise, without wasting huge amounts of time or dough.
I'm in the same boat as far as tolerance. I've cut back, and that has helped, but smoking everyday and smoking good homegrown as opposed to a lot of B grade (Weed Wars anyone?
commercial out there definitely ups the tolerance. The next move is to smoke better or different pot.
I'm smoking Mountain Jam, but I am rationing to conserve supply, so it's basically two bowls a day, rather than my preferred multiple fat joints. I much prefer joints to bowls. I have Atomic NL at about 50 days right now and from what I've read it is always good and tres stony. I hope so, I know when it's good when my face gets numb on the 2nd or third toke, rather than having to smoke the whole joint.
The next 2 I want are Kali Mist and Bubblegum. I want a long lasting, strong buzz, but different buzzes are fine. I smoke indica mostly (homegrown), and I wouldn't know if there was sativa in pot I've smoked around from others, especially when I was younger and didn't know anything. I smoked sativa in Mexico and it brought back memories of the brickweed from when I was a kid, but I don't have much experience with sativa buzzes. 2 NL phenos of mine lean way sativa in appearance and growth pattern, and I am very curious and excited to see if they have a more Thai buzz than Afghani.
I picked these two for availability to me (most critical), and for the great reps these strains have around here.
To make a short story long, would the current version of Kali Mist be worth growing, since the pre 98 is out of reach for me? and
Would Bubblegum be a good example of stronger, euphoric, giggle weed? It's been awhile since weed has gotten me so fucked I couldn't stop giggling. Again, keep in mind, tolerance of years of smoking. I want fun party time smoke.

I could smoke bags and bags of the old Redbud that came around the 70's , was just a buzz and bud I enjoyed so much I looked and bought it all the time,sometimes in quantity so I could puff it all the time lol Was the only one I can remember like people talking now about the ECSD,Bubba,Cali Kushes was just something I enjoyed that much.I imagine I could find something in the Bubba or Cali kush arsenal like that but just don't have the genes but will someday,same with ECSD the ones I see CC grow out look amazing and something you could puff all day.

The current version of Kali Mist is great that is why I mentioned the vintage in my post. You can smoke it whilst drinking without wiping out and it has the strongest, longest, maddest buzz of anything out there, I still have 2 babies outside finishing off

I suppose "best smoke" can be other than bud, so I would have to say all my best smoking experiences have been hash.
Except for one smoke session in Mysore, India, where I picked up some insane weed from a kid. No name to it, I don't think the grower had one. It was a creeper so of course I OD'd. As it took control of my brain, I keeled over and started laughing hysterically. Hours later, I managed to stagger to a restaurant, where I ordered three banana slits, one after another, and I drooled ice cream and banana all over myself. I must have looked like a retard.
I just had to send some of that stuff back home, so I flatted a bag into a letter and sent it air mail to a friend in Europe.
First thing she said to me when I was back was "What was in that bag you sent? We had one little toke after dinner with friends, and several people vomited."
OK, they have lower tolerance than me, but you could say it was one of those strains that makes the juices flow

all of these seedlines i been growin and makin seed of for sometime now, theres great good and no so great. the outcrosses have done very well to this point.

purple kush = grapey earthy kushy exoticness
hashplant = sweethashy skunky spicey garlicky exoticness
all had me stoned 4 hrs on several occasions this is top of the line 4 me i prefer a lethargic knockout stone at this calibur there is no 1 2 3 just my top 3 .
