So i think im going to have some issues on controlling the odor into the basement. I cant have any smell of this coming from where im at. i was wondering what i need to do to keep it down there... building a block room was on thought but will that be enough with a carbon filter? right now there isnt a ceiling other than a wooden floor. i need to find a way to conceal the smell 100% into the room or two rooms i need to build to be able to control this issue. i cant have any smell. - ll84

Are you going to have the grow space enclosed in a tent or cab so that a carbon filter manages all the air from your growspace or is it open air? If it's open air as I understand it you have to have a large enough carbon filter and fan to process all the air in the room, powerful enough to pull all the air through it. Those would probably be noisy If your space is enclosed in a room or like in a tent it would be no problem. For small grow spaces there are carbon filter/fan combos for around $100-$120 I have bookmarked. The fan I was thinking of with this combo is said to be whisper quiet but would not likely control an entire open room, more like a 3x3x6 enclosed grow space. There are probably other options people can mention. Ace Hardware has some air fresheners that come in tubs and do a pretty good job but only for about a week at a time and it's not 100%.
Anyone here grown out the SDxOGK and have a smoke/high report?

you will need a can filter .i use a 33 for a small tent but they can stink up a room.
i am not getting the smell as it was when it was hot and humid .being cooler it does not smell as much. if your going to do any growing its the best investment to get a carbon
scrubber .or thewr is some how to make home made carbon cleaners on this site.
but i think a can 33 is not bad for a once a year buy with all the good smoke i can get out of one can 33.

OK guys here is my update! I germed 3 seeds(Thanks again JLP) so far and have one special looking squat plant in the big room already. Hopefully it will be female cause it has the strongest smell of any plant I have grown, at this size. You touch it and immediate funk fills the area and you fingers wreak.
And the whole room getting ready for the switch in a few weeks.

WARNING do not use roottone rooting powder. i lost all of my best looking sourdog clones. i do not know why i used this new powder over my Olivia cloning gel. i thought it went bad because i left the top off for a day. and their where some strong beautiful cuttings too. i took 3 lower clones that have been in flower for 3-4 weeks i hope they take . if not what is my chances of revenging this plant? its a strong plant woody hard stems. at just 19 days in flower its frosty as i have seen a plant this early in flowering. i will try to reveg her if all else fails. is reveging hard i have never done it before .i am just going to buy a big jug of Olivia cloning gel becaus i have had 98%

I do not think the roottone is to blame. It is the only cloning powder I have used. Using it for 5 years now (it is the only thing readily available locally) with the same 98% success rate. I have used it on all my SDog cuts. 100% out of about 40 cuts.
LL - I definitely have a scrubber. I have always used it. I live in a house and have way cool neighbors but the less the neighborhood smells like herb the safer I feel(I have a script also). These guys would need it for sure with the smell of B.O. coming off her. I had to go and touch her a few more times just to try to lock down the smell and it is def. some funky under arm b.o. type smell. Never thought that would turn me on so much!!!! Peace!!
i used roottone on my sdog clones,and they rooted great,took a while tho.....
revegging is really easy imo,people say trim the roots,but,i hold off untill its clearly revegging,then trim the roots....i just personaly have had better results from not trimming it right away..i think the plant deals with having its roots cut off during veg better then during flower..

Just wanted to show the explosive growth from just two days. The SourDOG has really turned on the juice and is taking off. It could be my 1000watter MH but I like to think JLP dropped me somethin special in those seeds. Guys you gotta grow these ladies out!
Dan - I recently switched from the Rootone to the Olivia's due to bad success. I think the powder gets contaminated way easier for some reason than the Olivia's. $50 pricetag hurts like a MoFo tho!!! Good luck!!
