San Diego's Finest Cuts

Just wanted to pass some info along to the SD growers. Many of you know that my son is dying from ALS(Lou Gehrigs Disease). I have done a shitload of research about the disease on the internet(only understanding a little as doctors talk really funny). I have had the opinion for some time that CBD was as important or more important than THC, but never had any real confirmation.

Recently, I have been exchanging e-mails with a Professor of Rehabilitative Medicine at Univ. of Washington Medical School who is a specialist in ALS. He told me about experiments with mice and cannabis and ALS. It seems that THC keeps you from contracting the disease for as long as 6 years in human terms and CBd keeps you alive 3 years longer once you get it. that may not seem like much, but 50% of ALS patients usually die in the first 2 years and 70% by 5 years.

I also have an on-line friend in Israel who is an organic chemist(specialty is organoleptics) who worked in Dr. Raphael Mechoulam's lab for 3 years. Dr. Mechoulam is the guy who discovered THC. Mechoulam told him Sunday that drug strains containing only THC were not as important as once thought and that cannameds should contain both THC and CBD. Both are neuro-protective and anti-oxidants, which help to protect the body.

This info will not help "stoners" but will help med users. The pot we get from "med clubs" is only partly effective, just for those conditions that respond just to THC. May not be of interest to many of you, but thought I would pass it along. THC helps with pain, is a neuro-protecter, anti-oxidant,antiemetic(good for nausea) and kills certain types of cancer cells. CBD is an anti-oxidant, antiemetic, anti-inflammatory, anti-psychotic, anti-anxiety, anti-convulsant,immunomodulatory and relaxes the long muscles of the body. It also keeps cancer tumors from growing.

whats up kat? and thank you sir. ironically ive got a stash of green crack that ive been tokin on. there is a diff in smell, though they do look very similiar. ive found that when g.c. is grown perfectly, it has an aroma that is unlike anything else. with these skunks, im still waiting on a cure to know the aromas fosho, but it is def. more rancid, resiny, and less rotten fruity. if that makes any sense at all.
as far as phenos go-i have been growing 4 plants. two are being taken down tonight, one has been flowering for a coupla weeks, and one is still veggin. they all four have slightly diff. growth habits, including the two that are finished. they were lookin diff the whole time, and the nugs have a slight diff, but taste the same. there are some freaks that pop outa these seeds, but ALL have been very vigorous. i have a thread in the HTC forums where you can check them out thru the whole process.......sub

How come? Will you be making these available to patients? I would think that the best way to keep med clubs legit and the clones labeled correctly etc would be to help in that process. It seems like the one club who is battling the DEAth Nazis should be getting some of these genes, or am I out of line?

i wish you were able to send PMs cbf, id love to check out the local club. I havent been to any in SD since our county banned them. I heard about there being a few operating on the down low, but i remember seeing that the DEA raided all the SD clubs a few weeks ago.

I am quite sure that the club you speak of has access to many of the San Diegos Finest rep'ed cuts. Questions about what they choose to ( or not too) carry probably would be best directed to the staff there.
