Got some new goodies.

~Sun system ballast
~400 watt HPS super spectrum Hortilux bulb
~ 6" sun systems air cooled hood with glass
I was actaully thinking that I might be better off with the 4" air cooled hood. My buddy at the store told me to go with the yield master 6" hood cause it had better light coverage its a square design, the 4" is more of a rectangle design and fits the bulb better, well at least to my eye it does. What do you guys think. I just think that the hood might be too large for that particular bulb. But what do I know?
~ 7" Propagation dome for clones & rapid rooters
~ New Wave 24, 4 bulb T5 light all blue spectrum bulbs for seedlings and clones
~Hydrofarm tent for the New Wave 48 8 bulb T5 light (bulbs are Red,blue,red,blue spectrum for vegging.)
~ 265 CFM EcoPlus blower (this thing sucks some major air, only thing is I have no where to vent the warmer hood air. I cant cut anyholes in the ceiling or wall so it blows the air outside the tent into the room and that air mixes with the cooler air from the window a/c unit I have in there now.)

Here are a couple pics for you guys. Te strain is northern Lights. I plan on getting some beans going as soon as I can figure out a way to mount this smaller T5.

Like I said I had a much better update but I forgot to submit it and lost all my info.

Excellent upgrade mate - it looks great. Even though the spread might not be as good you'll get much better penetration and a better overall light intensity.

Sammet and Zeus thanks for stopping by guys. I just took three cuttings from my Northern Lights. I have 4 NL females and just pulled the 2 males that were in there. I also put some beans that were gifted to me by a friend in the rapid rooters under the propigation dome. I finally got the light mounted up and didnt waste any time to get something under there. I dipped the cuttings in Technaflora's rootech and put them in the rapid rooters. I have never taken clones before so i really dont know what Im doing. See you around guys.

Sir thanks for checking in on my updates. I had to get something to thicken those buds up. some were good but most were fluffy like and I need more solid buds.

Got to thinking and looking at my females and they seem to be stunted. when they were seedlings I had my Grapefruit and hindu Kush going and couldnt put them in the tent. Well I had to keep all 6 plants under 2 small CFL's and had to keep them under there for about 3 1/2 weeks before they could be put in the T5 Tent. Thats what inspired me to buy all this new stuff. So I might have weird, small, Funky Northern Lights this time.

This is my clone setup, and where I can start seedlings.

here is my one clone who I think is going to make it. I took three cuttings and this one has been the one to hang tough. It is a Northern Lights clone. There is even some new growth.

Still patiently waiting for some vegging plants.

Here are a couple pics with the lights off. These are my northern lights. They have had a rough road. They had to wait about 2-3 weeks under 2 very small CFL's to get in the tent when I had the T5 in there. The Grapefruit was finishing up and I just couldnt put those NL in there. Well there growth was stunted and then to top it off I introduced spider mites to my garden when I bought Bamboo stakes from the hardware store to support my buds. Since then My plants have had all kinds of problems I have been treating them with Neem oil but think I might have over sprayed trying to kill all the mites and then there hatching eggs are a pain in my arse too. On top of the plants switching Light schedule from 18/6 to 12/12, plus not only did I switch the light schedule I switched the Light to the 400 HPS. So I was thinking they might have had all the stress they can handle and thats why they havent grown much in the past 5 days. Its like they are stuck. Here are a couple pics of the pitiful things. I might just scrap them before the small seedlings come out of the humidity dome.

looks like you got your stations in order. pitty bout the mites but it happens to the best of us. dont kn ow what is going on with the weird coloring. i have 1 plant doing something similar. i think it is way low humidity in my case. i dont know if the buds are gonna be to much thicker than the t5 buds. you rocked those pretty well i gotta say. the ability to have the lights right up on them w/ the t5 is a huge advantage even though lacking the HID factor. for the cloning, i really recommend a bubble cloner. so cheap to make, i bet you have half the materials laying aroung, and if you seen my page you know the results they give over and over. no RRplugs to replace, no hum. dome, just top off and replace 50cent airstones every3 months. i buy airstones by the ass load to save on the driving to get them.(cause they are literally pennies)

Well I just finished taking everything out of the grow tent and chopped them down. they were getting sicker by the day and the bags were old about 4 grows in those bags. I got rid of it all. the bamboo stakes that introduced the mites, the plants are gone, soil was dumped and bags were thrown away. So when these seedlings come out of the humidity dome they wont be infected with god knows what else these Nl plants had. the only thing that concerns me is the cutting that looks like its going to make it came from those plants. But Im hoping that the almost 100% humidity killed the remaining mites or whatever else might have been on them. Waiting for a couple more days to put seedlings in cups.

Man I just started using bamboo stakes myself, although mine are coated in some weird green paint type stuff, that comes off if you rub it.

Sammet thanks for dropping by man. Im always high bro I heard that Mites cant stand the cold so I turned the house unit down for a couple of days and then The window A/C unit that is in the growroom way down it got down to 57 degrees in there along with scrubbing everything down with a strong cleaner and then wiped down the tents in alchol. I really hope they are gone.

DrDog those are the good ones. I picked mine up at a place where the garden center is outside and there are woods and fields nearby so Thats how i got mites in my grow. Damn things cost me 4 Northern Lights that were going to be the first to bloom under the HPS. Thanks for stopping by Dr Dog.

smoke break

Well I wanted to get really stoned yesterday so I whiped up some really good Firecrackers that me and a friend ate. I had 3 of them yesterday and was in a coma state where all I could do was listen and it felt like it took all my energy to even say one word. These were alot better than the ones I made once before with brickweed. These were made with Grapefruit.
Anyone care for a grapefruit and peanutbutter cracker?

I didnt have saltine crackers so I used club style or whatever they are called.

open and enjoy but be careful they are hot.

They werent the best on taste but they layed my ass out. Good stuff and I am very medicated now after that one I ate.
on another note I was thinking of purchasing a volcano vaporizer to cut back on my smoking. anyone have one?

Hey wedge thanks for stopping in man. Unfortunately i had to ditch the NL plants but I do Have one clone I think is rooting now. Havent seen any of the CMH bulbs around here. I am going to use what i have for now and then when its time to buy a new bulb I might try one out. see ya around.

They look pretty tasty, peanut butter On the volcano front, have you tried vapping before? It's a lot of money to lay down, and some people can't make the adjustment from smoking joints - you get a purer high, but you miss that knockdown body stone which comes from the smoke. However if you've got some heady stuff, you'll float along for a good while, last night I used about .2g in my volcano (after a 2 week break) and I was up in the sky for a good 4 hours.

Also volcanos are noisy - bags crinkle too - and can be fiddly to replace. So thats pretty much the low down on the volcano - I love it but it does have it's down points.

I also have a whip style vap (super vapezilla copy), which is pretty good, silent toking and more concentrated flavour with the whip. However - you can get through a lot of herb in it due to the short sharp hits. Some don't get on with the bags and prefer the whips and vice versa.

If you're still sold on vapes then welcome to the club, they're a great healthy way to keep toking. (but then I used to roll spliffs with baccy in them too - so it was good for me to cut it out)





You could probably make them peanut butter crackers with the vapped remains, apparently they still contain lots of the cbd and can give a good sleepy stone. That's a before and after shot.



But I've never done anything with them, I've got pretty much 1/2 a pound of vapped bud sitting in a pot but I guess I'll just throw it out with my lazy ass.
