Cab is done!! Still needs paint and a better circulation fan set up. Temps are good. This took forever and a good bit of cash to make. 400Watt in a cool tube in the flower chamber. 120 watts of CFL's in the veg room. This is fashioned after Yuokon's cab except mine is 400w and a little diff. Thanx Yukon and everyone who gave me advice. Here's some pix. The 2 gal pots are to big for the cab and make things not sit right, i will keep my 1.5 gal for next grow.

Well day 7 of flowering for Thunder Head, Kali-Mist, and Blockberry. Im not gona post pix cause theres not much to see just small buds forming. I will post pix next week at day 14. Im thinkin my Thunder head will finish first, it smells faintly of citrus. The Kali-Mist is stretching like a bitch! One more week of stretching, thankfully.

Whats good pirate, Nice looking grow you have here with a lot of genetics. Personally I can't wait to see the Blockberry, and the Kush Head, Sounds like some tastey ladies you got there.

Thanx Kirk, unfortunately the Kush Head was a boy and had to be killed. Yes alot of different genetics, it makes it difficult to feed em though.

No picture update this week. My plants are still in the infirmary but are lookin a little better after a flush. Maybe next week they will be lookin picture worthy.

I was thinkin of adding extra light in my flower chamber since my temps are so good (80 degrees). I can easily make room for another cfl, i was thinkin of those long protruding cfl's. But what wattage, i know cfls can put off some heat to. I would position the new light pararell to my 400w hps. How much heat does a 100 or 80 watt cfl put off?

Day 28 Update

I have a couple additions that need noteing. I now have a Lasko Utility fan working as my exhaust and its on the first setting of 3 and works great! I would recommend it to anyone who needs an exhaust for 50 bux. Also i picked up a 150w CFL warm spectrum bulb that has 2,700 lumens in my flower chamber. My temps need a little boosting since the lasko does such a good job. Sometimes when my lights are on it dips below 78. OK pix.

My new Exhaust

New 150w CFL

Blockberry

Thunder Head

Kali-Mist

Flower Chamber

Veg Chamber (Its overflowing!)

Your plants are looking nice!

It seems that you made a nice recovery.... adding the blower was essential, and your plants show it.

That veg chamber is getting pretty full!! But those are pretty large containers.

Have you thought about using smaller containers for bonsai moms/extended vegging?

Good work! Won't be to long and you'll have a nice bit of smoke!! :muahaha:

So my PH is still low for a few of my plants (low 6's) so im adding a tbsp of lime to the top soil and then watering it in. This shud bump me up to where i need to be. They seem to be pretty large buds for 35 days, pic updates tomorrow night!

Hey Pirate:

If you are talking about "runoff" pH being in low 6's...IMO that is perfect. Why would you want to add lime now? Did you add 2Tbls/gallon to your original soil mix? If so, you're good to "grow" for the duration. Adding lime now could screw up your pH cause once that lime is incorporated in the soilmix...it ain't coming out. you might want to look at my thread on Runoff pH and its alleged value.

And I agree with you about the 2 gal pots...too big for your grow. You're losing some potential height for your plants as well. Square pots are the way to go for the most efficient use of your grow's footprint. What are the dimensions of your cab? A 7x7x7 container is about 1.5 gallons. You might have to water every day but 1.5 gallon would work.

Looking good so far though!!

These Laffy Taffy containers are roughly 6x6x7" tall and hold just under a gallon. I didn't fill them all the way since I'm going to bury the stem when I transplant up...to gain a couple inches. I've vegged plants in these containers under these lights until they were 24"+. I had to water them every day, but they did fine. Something square but a bit bigger should work for you.

These are SSH x SSH from seeds I made. The mom is still flowering :sasmokin:

I would respectfully disagree. The lower you keep your temps(within reason) the better off you are. Temps in the 70's, even low 70's, are great. Less stress on plants.

Well stitch suggested adding lime and i take her advice as gospel. I know low 6's for my runoff is ok but i want my plants lookin a little healthier. I need to be in the mid 6's for that.

Yes i am phasing out the 2 gallon pots and im gona stick with 1.5 gallon. I only have to water once every 3 days, not to bad.

I should add a caveat here.

Low temps are fine, but if they come at the expense of huge volumes of air blowing over the plants, that may not be so fine. In a small space, too much air passing over the plants can dry them out. I don't know if that's applicable to your situation or not??
