So after a long time with my two 150 hps I finally constructed a cab for them. I call it a "NANA" cab as in "NANA yo business" but its basically a NGB except I did the intakes like DISCODUCK. Overall dimensions are 4' tall 4' wide 2' deep, flower 33" wide 48" tall 24" deep, veg 15" wide 30" tall 24" deep, utility 15" wide 18"tall 24" deep. I have the dual 150s in a DIY cooltube for flowering and six 26watt(6500K) cfls for vegging. So far I have Kalimist(3), Hashberry, Grapevine X Lavender, and a bagseed strain I've been growing the past year or 2 in the flower side still vegging til tomorrow. Also got another bagseed that I had for about 8 years in the veg cab. Got a few clones of each, just waiting for them to root a lil more. Got a DWC bucket with 2 kalimist clones in it but Im not sure where I can fit it in my cab LOL.

Not quite fully finished but enough to get my girls in there. If you got any questions about my cab feel free to ask away.

its all good vintner, looks like you got a baby bubba, are you planning on FIM/LSTing it? i need to get my ass of my shoulders one stankonia, the diesel pheno, has completed revegg into vegg nicely. the blue mystic pheno is about halfway along, just crawling on me, but the blood purpls stems it had before have already came back where theyre growing out. CB II looks to be male, which blows. then all in seedling 1 of: MSG, sensistar x pimmp, 2 of: ap11 x erdpurt, 4 of:chemdog kush IX-I, and i think 5/6 of stankonia x HB. hopefully the MSG and the SSxPIMMP are female.

all of the following currently vegging under my 150w. the smaller ones were supposed to still be under my cfl but i noticed a weird leave yellowing/burning phenomenon happening in corelation with a weird chlorinish type smell coming from the white verneer inside the cabinet box. unfortunately i have 5 stankhashes still in there and 2 have become the newest victims of this. anyways, on with the show...

Heres my NYCD at 15 days flower in my DWC bubble bucket. I use a 150w HPS with 104w of CFL side lighting. I feed the Lucas formula w/ KoolBloom. Whatcha think?

I have been flowring 4 plants for 23 days under cfl's, will it be ok at this stage to go ahead and add the hps or should they just stay in the same light?
The hps just came>I know abouth a moth after i ordered it.Anyway way any help whould be great!!!Thank You

Definitely add the HPS if you're set up for it, ventilation wise, etc. ! Your buds will thank you for it.

What green head said. make sure you keep the light just high enough so that they dont get light burn. theyre used to the light warmth of the cfl's but the 150 will be much warmer.start them maybe a foot under the bulb then gradually lower your light if needed. hope that made sense, -bluebuds

SHADY : as long as you correct the problem (overfeeding? touching the light? ph ?) then the plant will forgive you and will carry on producing flowers.

This is probably an utterly foolish question to ask, since I have been growing for many years now, but...

How close can a 150 watt HPS with a 1/8" thick glass heat sheild (positioned about 1.5" below the bulb) get to your plants without risking burning them? Specifically I'm wondering about seedlings, but advice on adult plants would be much appreciated too.

The reason I'm asking this is because in the past few years that I've been growing again (since I stopped for a few years before that) I've only been using 50 to 70 watt HPS lights and CFLs.
But I'm just now upgrading to a 150w HPS and since I've never used a light this big before I'm unsure how of close I can safely get it to my plants.

Any advice?
