wow, that is a name i haven't seen in forever.....GSTQ...........i am working with a new camera but i can't post attachments for some reason....i tried everything i know in another thread, thought y'all camera buffs might have a clue

i still see blue roofs when i visit my dad.....ivan then dennis for florida, katrina and rita for most of the gulf coast....last season was a nice calm change, i wonder what the old farm book projects for this year

It's been so long since I've heard from GSTQ that I forgot who he is except he was a friend from the panhandle who got hit by Ivan.

BTW, it's funny that you think of Florida as just the little piece of the panhandle on the far west, bordering Alabama. Florida got hit by four hurricanes in 2004 and another four in 2005. Ivan and Dennis were the two that hit the western panhandle. Personally, I got hit by Katrina and Wilma in Miami. Ft. Pierce got hit by Francis and Jeanne. Ft. Myers got hit by Charlie. I can't think of the eighth hurricane that hit Florida. I think the one I'm missing hit the west coast of south Florida or the Keys.

Well, we have had two calm seasons in a row now. I'm hoping this will be the third.

KINGPIFF - nice pics. Cats usually aren't a big problem once the plant is that big. They might nibble on a leaf or dig a little. I find that buds covered in cat hair is not appetizing to eat, though. I cook and eat most of my harvest because I don't like smoke. I wonder if the cat is sleeping because he is stoned on the leaf he ate? lol I guess cats don't need an excuse to sleep.

I hope you weren't offended by my comment. I wasn't by yours. Even that little spec of unpopulated land near Alabama is still part of our state. I don't know if it is a rivalry, but people from upstate Florida don't like Miami, or any big city, so I was playing a little. Please don't take it seriously.

Charlie and Jean sucked huge donkey dicks that year. I'm praying for a nice clear season again this year. Good thing about global warming is that the landing pattern for the big storms is supposed to shift north for the Atlantic storms and west for the Gulf storms. Of course we wn't have any fresh water to drink...

Anyway, thanks for the help Tropical. I can veg two of the clones I got rooted this week, LST 'em hard for the next six weeks and then move them outside.

Nice plants freedom, looks like a good spot. I had to cut my 1 menage down today. It was cut way too early but I had to. Every time I went to check on her she was laying on the floor, the buds were getting dirt and sand stuck all over. I will have some dry bud photos soon.

Does anyone grow huge sativas over the summer?

Nice. I have never grown in the ground before, always in containers. How big a hole do you dig? How big is your plant when you put it outside? How long did you veg it indoor? How much was the final yield? Thanks.

Did you see the thread called something like "My Outdoor Monster" by HurricaneFanIAm? He was an indoor hydro grower but had a stray seed from a bag of sin semilla. So, he just threw the seed outside where the A/C condensation drips out. By August, the plant was huge. Then, the hurricane hit it. :-(

live in a swamp pretty much so that ground is perfect. Didnt water, didnt fert, just pulled em out of the cups and planted em. They veged maybe a week if that once rooted then straight outside.

not sure about yeild, looks like each one is about 1/2 oz. maybe..

Yeah, the bush got at least twice, maybe three times, as big. It totally swallowed up that A/C, leaving it without any air circulation. Isn't the thread still around here?

So, KINGPIFF, there is your answer. Bagseed is great for Florida. Grow, harvest, cure, and store it right and you will likely end up with premium buds. Way better than anything you could buy on the street. Probably better than the indoor hydro grown from expensive seeds.

I agree my my buds are aways better than what I could find on the streets, and I'm not giving my money to some crook on the street which makes it a good reason to grow my own :joint:
Heres my sativa that im putting out for the summer
ThaiHaze x Skunk1

If everything goes smooth she will get big.

Heres a photo of my menage at day 45. She doesn't smell much but she does smell like fresh air... its weird.

Good plan. Do you only have that one plant? It looks like she'll be big enough to give you a few clones before she goes outside, especially if she has enough light to grow fast.

Hmm... Low odor? That is one of the things I look for in a mom. Does she clone fast? Is she a fussy eater? Is the high more sativa, indica, or hybrid?

Yea as of now I think I'm just going to put 1 or 2 of the thazeskunk out. It should grow great in this climate.

Yea very low odor on her, unlike her sister in the background. I took clones for my first time from this plant. I took 2 and 1 didn't make it(newbiemistake) It took about a week to root in a jiffypellet. I was feeding her at full strength when she started to get a lil nuteburn. But other than that she's fine. I haven't smoked her yet so I don't no about the high. But she looks like a good indi/sat mix

I have 7 Mandala Kalichakra's in soil 100% sat. about 21 days total and an AK indica pheno (I think) about 37 days old. Do you think I planted them too late? Are they gonna keep vegging until fall, or should they flower alright? Do you recommend inducing flowering by putting them in a trash can scrog and putting a lid on her for 12/12? If anyone needs pictures, let me know (too lazy to fetch them right now)

The sativa could possibly veg until August, you wont know for sure until May or June. Some people like a plant to veg for a while so the yield is good.
