Hi all. Just wanted to weight in with all this GH Fem seeds stuff. I have been on this site for about a year and half now. I have read all the bashing about GH and the politics of GH and the beef that others seem to have with them, because of that I bought some GWS Fems to run 2 grows ago. I have to say that the GWS was a good plant. It grew out just fine. I only ended up keeping 2 of the 20 that I grew out for mothers and had none of the plants doing anything close to hemi's. As for the new strains. I like Joe live in Cali. I have grown out TW many time when it first started getting to be the hot strain around after all its not what we like, its what the customers want. It had alot of strech but produced some of my favorite smoke. I didn't have any problems with hemi's with my TW. I grew out the straight TW clone not any crosses. I ended up stopping growing TW because out here everyone was growing it, so much so that people where dropping prices by about a 1000 a pound on it. So I stopped growing it. I am growing out GK right now. The LS that they have looks alot like it. Funny to me that they say its a coffiehouse classic when its a USA clone only cutting. Whatever. I would like to try out the cheese and see how it runs. One thing I do like is the fact that the prices are really low. Its about time that seed companies drop there prices. If GH is doing anything they are forcing some of these outrageous prices to drop. I mean 160 for 10 seeds is high no matter what. It really doesn't matter to me if they are S1 or not. I will grow out enough to find that cuts that I will keep and that will be that. I really don't understand why people get so piss about them. Its not like most of us are doing hardcore breeding project and if you are and you don't want S1's then buy another or get the orginal clone. I will give a showing of the cheese when I get it and run it. To others growning out the new GH strains please post shows so that others can make an imformed choice at the very least.
Peace out
Gkhan.

yeah, i may even update later today because they have grown so quickly in just a few days. I may start the trainwreck seeds sooner than later...maybe in a couple weeks....but once these seedlings get into their new pots, I can already tell they will flourish. Each day there is significant increase in the size of everything....so hopefully it continues well. I'm looking foward to the rest of your attempts at documenting these new strains!

Looking good herb  They look good cept the drooping one, although colour wise it looks ok... maybe a tad overwatered??

Here Here!! GKhan  couldn't have said it better myself. Totally agree about the pricing too. I am all for letting the plants do the talking ;) I see you had a some nice GWS girls in your grow, looked pretty fat and nice mate, hermy free also sounds positive. A friend has done a few of their fem'd strains (one of my motivations for choosing GH). All of which (25 beans) were hermy free...

I'm all about good product at a good rate and GH 'seem' to be fulfilling that criteria if actual grows are anything to go buy. Although out of the 20 or so GH fem grows I have seen online their were at least 3 or 4 were herms were uncovered  so their claims of 100% hermy free seem to be hype.

Anyways, here's what the Lemons & Rhinos been upto since germing. Scuse the boring bean pics but it's for reference as well as showing these 'girls' from start to finish.

My quick fix seedling rubbermaid, needed some space!

The reflector gets hot as the ballast is built in ontop of it. Need to stop being cheap & replace it :D it would have melted into the plastic being on 20 hours a day so I stuck some blue tack onto the rubbermaid edges to have something to stop the plastic from melting... works a treat btw! might stick a computer fan on each side & get some reflective plastic around it.... seems I have a new propagation spot

bluetack on rubbermaid :D lmao!

All the beans transplanted on 9th Jan

Only 1 lemon skunk showed up a few hours after xplant to the cubes....

Environmental conditions..........

As of today around 85% of the rhinos are up and running, and 70% of the lemon skunks are up... I'd expect to see the rest up by nightfall.

greenhouse is a joke...enjoy your hermie hacks...peace

I assume that is directed to the growers trying to let the beans do the talking?! You would have been better off to show the Ultra haze/hay :D (in your experience), that you done that led you to that conclusion thus given growers an informed decision on that strain. What I dont underdstand is that you are saying the plant sucks and it's still hanging to dry? Expand upon that if you will mate...

All opinions welcome, just some are like.... well you know ;)

peace

BTW did your ultra hayze herm? What did you not like about it?

Verbal update, pics to follow....

Verbal update, pics to follow....

Well the seedlings are growing well, with the lemon skunk being slower to show roots through 4" rockwool cubes. The rhino on the other hand rooted through the 4" rockwool quickly (within 48 hrs of transplant). Lemon skunk was more like 72 hrs to show roots through. As of today they have been growing for 11 days after being germinated and transplanted into small rockwool cubes.

Rhino's

I lost one of the rhino's while it was still in the smaller rockwool cube, the tap root managed to tie itself round the sprout end when I tried to detangle the root the 'stem' snapped... ah well. GHSco Rhino grows squat with large indica looking leaves so far... a couple have slimmer leaves showing a sativa side to them, if this is a copy of Mr Nice's Rhino there is a sat blend in there with the widow (brazilian sativa) which would explain those traits, There are 21 healthy rhino seedlings and a 3 runts/ mutants.

Lemon Skunk

The lemon skunk started of slowly in growth but has since had a good stretch! Alot more sativa in growth than the rhino's they got a little leggy as conditions were not really optimum (RH 35 - 40% temps 28 -30C) This is because I went and dropped a box containing my envirolites (2 x 250w compact floro's), amongst other things... smashing the bulbs to pieces in the process so the seedlings are under my 600... With the 600 I gotta crank the venti up, which pulls humidity down, so I gotta let it run slower or humidity is low & stomata or whatever it's called closes, catch 22 slightly high temps or VERY low humidity, I've gone with the former... Anyway they are growing away well and seem to not really be effected by the slightly adverse conditions.

Both strains will be transplanted onto my NFT system today, and I will set the pump on a timer to avoid overwatering while their root systems are established.

The seedlings have been on a diet of:

Ferro Grow 1.5ml per 1L
Baricade Silicone 1ml per 10L
Ferro Bio Crop 0.5ml per 1L
Ferro Bio Roots 1ml per L
Atazyme 2ml per 1L
Benficial bacteria (myco & trichoderma plus others)

I need to get them on the auto watering asap, work has me grafting like a slave and I missed a watering by a couple hours which left a few roots airburned :spank: not wanting this to turn into an issue I mixed up a batch of beneficials & cannazyme and gave the roots a dunk in this mix. Hopefully that stops any attack on the damaged roots.

Have some pics but the card readers screw'd on my puter so I'll get them up later if I can find the damn usb link.

I'm kinda pushed for time with this grow and was really considering giving trying the 12/12 from seed option alas I read that the white rhino likes to stay squat and short which sucks for this growth style for the lighting I have, the lemon skunk seems like they will stretch some with the sat traits being exhibited, I also got some AK47 from serious that have just been popped to.... The time issue is down to my B'stard land lady who is selling property to her son. Something I was aware of, but now & the sale is proceeding a whole lot quicker than I was ready for or told it would be for that matter!!! Due to her being late with mortgage payments :cuss::spank: not that is will cause any unwanted visits, but my small extension on the lease has just got a few weeks shorter! Bloody curveball's, ay?!! Makes life interesting i supposed :badday::puppydoge yer right!

Anyway, busy and got a ton of reading to do, I think there's a 12/12 from seed thread around here someplace, that I will have to read up on to see if this run can be salvaged at all :cuss::rant:

Day 10 veg (14 days since being placed into paper to to germinate)

They are currently being transplanted onto my NFT system, I delayed it by a couple days so the ones with less roots wouldn't drown when they were put on the trays.

Feeding 3 x for 3 mins per day until I see the roots spreading out, then they will get 24/7 feeding. Should be by monday latest.

Please stop refering to Jack. / GHSco as if they are a real person, that might someday get back to you (they don't).

He/she/they were merely a figment of your marketed upon imagination... lol

peace out all
dLeaf :joint:

To add:

Let's not get our wires crossed. As soon as any breeder sells a strain (seed pack), they no longer own the strain (seed pack) and therefore cannot lay claim to it. If a breeder on the other hand chooses to donate seeds to growers for free,, and another hacks a line from it, then that's another matter. But one and tither aren't the same

thats the way I see it if the people who have these were on the ball the arjan and others wouldnt be setting the standards as greenhouse seeds looks sold out at seedbay!

Doc I've always loved your post as its REAL. i guess on the net no one has to be real. I'm real though. all these people hate greenhouse because their favorite cali growers hate them hell I dont know arjan or any of them. Only God can judge them i will never be a follower of the crowd. there are enough people in this biz who do it for "love" green house is in it for money what the cali breeders dont understand is that its a business period but maybe thats why the boy in the netherlands are always taking your cuts and selling them back to you.

great post doc

I dont really see what the problem is. Trainwreck for example is a clone-only strain, I'm in Australia so its not easy (read - nearly impossible) to get those 'l33t' clone-only strains. From what I understand Greenhouse simply took a Trainwreck mother, induced her with STS or whatever to produce pollen and self-pollenated herself or another TW mother. So what's the problem ???? Or are you people with Trainwreck just worried that your l33t strain is now available to everyone???

thats it you hit it on the head? they like to play the i got this and you dont hell I bet most of them aint over 30 anyway

That's what everyone is trying to find out...
Just exactly what was their process? They won't frucking answer that one though...
Wonder why, Hmmmmm....
All I have to go on is their description...
"Original clone from Arcata, USA. Reversed 100% feminized."
as quoted from the GHSco seed sales site...

I can tell you why they wont answer but you seem pretty smart anyway

really do you think its any of your business how they do what they do? You ever heard of trade secrets?? :fsu:

all people need to know is sativa or indica and flower times maybe a nute reg that it

i would be embarrassed being a grown man acting like this on a public forum and dont you have a wife/life???

wonder if the TW smells like real TW. Looks kinda like TW, but leafier and less resin, without the severe octopus vine growth that TW growers know so well. Probably not like real TW at all...but i'd love to hear a report!

i got about an 8th of real TW sittin next to me... layin back right now watching some crap on the tube.
