Unfortunately it was pouring with rain during the harvest so I didn't have a chance to take out the camera.

Some photos of the harvest. Apologies for the mediocre photos, not the most glorious bud porn lol

thank you so much @sgka for the detailed information! Phosphoric acid has the advantage of buffering the pH pretty well plus you're already adding some phosphate fertilizer (have to take that into consideration).
By now, I have my new pH meter and found out I only need 5 mL/L of vinegar after adding the BioBizz fertilizer to have the pH stable at around 6.2, so I guess that would work, or do you see downsides in using vinegar in general?
I have heard vinegar and citric acid lose their effectiveness rather quickly. I can't verify myself. I've always used the mixture I mentioned above. Also I'm running on a Rez I fill once every 3-4 weeks. If you're mixing right before you irrigate prob a non issue. Your call.

That's a good question @albertgriffiths there are certainly other ACE sativa strains more potent, better looking, better yielding than Thai Chi, but Thai Chi has certain quality to its effects and an incensey terpene profile i cherish a lot. For commercial production i would choose other ACE sativas such as Panama x Bangi Haze, but for private stash Thai Chi is still up there with my 3 favorites. Another new favorite of mine is Zenith, there are truly unique Zenith expressions (in the longer flowering phenos) that are also among my all time favorites.

Regarding your second question about strong introspection in ACE strains, i like cannabis that produces strong inner world, i don't like smokes that doesn't have effect in my inner world and doesn't enhance perception (pretty much like today's Kushes, effects say very little).

Although the strains you mention have very different kind of introspection: kind, clear, balanced introspection like Thai Chi, Kali China, Nepal Jam or Orient Express from one side, and on the other the crazier dirtier introspection in Malawi and Panama hybrids.

If Thai Chi is clear, balanced meditation, Golden Tiger Thai leaning phenos are completly crazy, trippy, accelerated, imaginative, dissociative, a very altered state tha is quite the opposite to a true meditative state, despite both Thai Chi and Golden Tiger contain Thai genetics, they have been bred for completely different goals-outcome.
Your Golden Tiger is without a doubt the strongest weed I have ever smoked. It’s not one for the faint hearted. lol CL🍀

Is Thai Chi going to be restocked? I can't even find it on the site at present?
Not sure when ... hopefully next year at some point, will keep you all updated.

Seedsman still has some Thai Chi packs:

Thanks for your interest!

hello @Mitsuharu,

please correct me if im wrong @dubi

i think the main reason for this is that the one parent kali china has been bred only in feminized format and is only able to produce feminized seeds when outcrossed, as there are no 'male' chromosomes.

one could try it the other way around and pollinate a favourite kali china plant with a favourite thai chiang mai male plant. and maybe even backcross males of that progeny to kali china again. but in the end the result would probably be different to the current thai chi release.

or you try to self a thai chi plant yourself to produce your own thai chi seeds.

personally im pretty happy that ace is selling standard seeds of so many of their lines. there a a lot of seed producers who stopped doing that, probably for monetary reasons.

i hope i could help you! greets

@ilovegrowing gave you the right answer @Mitsuharu thanks a lot!

To constantly use vinegar in your waterings/feedings can interfere in a bad way in the natural terpenes of the strain.

Hello folks

One week ago I harvested the guerilla Thai Chi!

They had been under 4 weeks of nonstop rain and cold cloudy weather. And guess what? We found them in good shape!! 95% of the plants were totally fine!

The faster pheno was looking quite tired, but the slower pheno was full of life and 99% disease free. That's a fantastic result considering how bad the conditions were for the last 4 weeks of Flowering. At least.. To us that's a solid genetic.

The flowers were not that big but that's to be expected with how few light hours they receive by end season.

They smell amazing, and the sample I smoked felt great. Uplifting anf creative high, I just started taking notes, wanting to dance around and get busy with things. I'm going to enjoy this haul.

Thanks Dubi and ACE for this strain.

Thank you so much for your feedback on your succesful harvest @Funkalicious impressed to know they survived 4 weeks of rains and cold with almost no mold! To improve flower, try to find locations next time that receive more direct light during flowering months, although a guerrilla spot that has succesfully produced harvest shouldn't be dismissed. Congrats, and enjoy your well deserved harvest! ;)

Thai Chi from my 2023 garden. Harvested mid November at the 45th parallel, Northwest Oregon. Very unique aroma, reminiscent of Kali China. Grown organically in soil. I hope to keep her in all my future gardens, wonderfully potent, it’s my current favorite afternoon smoke! I hope I don’t smoke it all before a proper cure!

Hey guys i thought i will do a little review for my Thai Chi. Keep in mind that im a small scale (100 watts) COB Led grower. I need to keep them small that i can have different Strains in 1 run. (3 Liter of Soil per plant) In this Run i also had a lot of fungus gnats, but Thai Chi didnt care much i think.

I mostly grow the same style...cracking a seed and wait for a cut to take and then flower the Cutting.

Day 1 since switch to 12/12, i think she disliked my soil a bit at first... allmix Biobizz. But no worries she did fine later.

20230713_190445-jpg.18865123

Day 8 she was a lot healthier again. TC is on the left side. middle is white widow (not ace) and right side Zamal Bliss, also from ACE.

20230721_175115-jpg.18868305

I disliked the stretch a bit but it was because of the small space she did her best to get some light. On Day 16 i thought i will give her a new nice shape fitting my space.

I was like lets try a heart shape on the upper part, but didnt worked out :p

20230728_135856-jpg.18871150

Day 24 she accepted her new shape and start wih real flowering.

20230806_151421-jpg.18874477

Day 36 first real frost

20230818_151349.jpg

Day 47! What a beauty she was! I loved her!

20230829_134048-jpg.18883486

Damn sexy thin leaves, she was just an esthetic plant for me

Day 65 of 12/12 from cutting, time to harvest this lady! What a small one she was in the begnning with the salty allmix soil now her end:

Weed dry and cured + Vaping report:

20231112_115124-jpg.18917506

20231112_115508-jpg.18917507

Smell: earthy, mossy, forest, maybe hints of rotten meat...its hard to compare really exotic smell.

Taste: would also say kinda of earthy, maybe even just kind of herbs.

High: For me this one is really a realxing good vibez high! When i first vaped it, i layed back and felt like i had sex with me girl just 5min ago. Just gives me a peacefull satisfyed feeling. Not the strongest for sure but definitly a good one, i dont think i had a feeling like that pretty often.

Thanks for the report. The flowers look delicious. I am really looking forward to sample yours. To me it seems like your assessment changed over time. I noticed some disappointment at first when we were talking about her. Was that because you expected more of a sativa rush? The one seed of Thai Chi I grew out was more of a Thai Hashplant, providing this rather clear yet satisfying high you described so well. ACE has really interesting lines, yet it takes some trial and error to understand what which line has to offer.
Hopefully you will also write a Zamal Bliss report! I just posted a pic of the cut we grew some weeks ago. Considering that it was a limited edition and there might be some folks having it in their pockets, a report would be well received.

Welcome @Highboy71 to ICMag :tiphat: Thanks a lot for your positive feeedback on your outdoor Thai Chi harvest, it's the balanced, colorful sativa/indica expression with more Kali China influence. Glad Thai Chi has become a new favorite of yours!

Thanks also @Uludag for sharing pics and your insights about your experience with your Thai Chi girl :)
Glad you are enjoying with its meditative-ecstasy state. How long did you cure the harvested buds you posted ?

Since you have tried both Zenith and Thai Chi, and although they are quite different strains: what did you like the most ?

Thai Chi 10 weeks under 12/12. Issue with high pH and some overfeeding during flowering, but that has been OK the last week. Feeding Biobizz Grow/Bloom EC 1.4. Last week it looked like the plant was 1-2 weeks from finish, but the last few days it has started reflowering. What do you think @dubi, should I cut down on fertilizer and go 13/11 to make it finish, or just continue as I do now?

Looking really good there @LHC :) i would feed her one last time to accompany this last reflowering and then start flushing, you can also lower down to 11/13 to speed up ripening and avoid more reflowerings.

Thank´s a lot for the advice @dubi
The smell is fantastic now. It is so complex I don´t have the ability to describe it :canabis:
The plant has also been under some stress due to ph issues, some overfeeding, and one time I had to disrupt the dark period for several hours. Despite this, there is no sign of nanners :)(y)
