And because they're all caught in the right wing information silo, they are absolutely convinced they have the "will of the people" behind them. Silent Majority and all that bullshit.

Judge Amit Mehta on Thursday

“A seditious conspiracy, when you take those two concepts and put it together, is among the most serious crimes an American can commit. It is an offense against the government to use force. It is an offense against the people of our country,” the judge said.

“It is a series of acts in which you and others committed to use force, including potentially with weapons, against the government of the United States as it transitioned from one president to another. And what was the motive? You didn’t like the new guy.”

“Let me be clear about one thing to you, Mr. Rhodes, and anybody who else that is listening. In this country we don’t paint with a broad brush, and shame on you if you do. Just because somebody supports the former president, it doesn’t mean they are a White supremacist, a White nationalist. It just means they voted for the other guy.”

“What we absolutely cannot have is a group of citizens who – because they did not like the outcome of an election, who did not believe the law was followed as it should be – foment revolution.”

Mehta echoed these warnings later Thursday, when addressing a second Oath Keepers defendant, Kelly Meggs.


“You don’t take to the streets with rifles,” he said. “You don’t hope that the president invokes the insurrection act so you can start a war in the streets… You don’t rush into the US Capitol with the hope to stop the electoral vote count.”

“It is astonishing to me how average Americans somehow transformed into criminals in the weeks before and on January 6,” the judge said.

Recent reporting has me changing my tune about Trump doing prison time.

I've often said he'll never see the inside of a prison cell. Seditious Conspiracy, Dissemination of Classified Information, and Conspiracy aren't going to be easy to beat if the reporting is accurate.

I'm still not convincd he'll see the inside of a prison sell and really it's no big deal to me if he doesn't as long as there is some other form of punishment, at this point i'd settle for him to just be confined to one of his properties and barred from ever holding publc offce ever again. Of course they could always just bring back death by hanging for Treason, that wuld work too.

The judicial branch is the only branch that has held the line through all of this. I think they will see it through unless there is some Hail Mary to corrupt them too. If that happens we're screwed on everything including the constitution.

Not inferring judicial was perfect, just holding the line on Chumps election fraud claims, bogus court cases, 1-6 and the big lie.

I'm starting to get a Watergate vibe about the Jack Smith charges pending and like Tricky Dick, many of the followers will throw in the towel. There will always be some wackos remaining.

The Supreme Court has a few problems that do need to be dealt with.

The Supreme Court has become another political arm of our GOV. Laws change depending on how many conservatives are on the bench.. That's nothing but political.

Internet scammers are reportedly pushing “Trump Bucks” online which display pictures of the former president and promise MAGA supporters big profits. John Amann told NBC News he bought $2,200 worth of Trump Bucks only to discover they are worthless when he tried to cash them in. He is now warning other Trump supporters not to fall for the scam. NBC identified Patriots Dynasty, Patriots Future and USA Patriots as the companies behind Trump Bucks and found at least a dozen people like Amann who invested thousands of dollars after watching the misleading pitches on Telegram that suggested Trump was endorsing the products.
