Lovely purple Malawi @peace As you may know, Purple Malawi x Nepal Jam (colorful Nepalese expression) was the 'recipe' of our Red Sapphire 2019 limited edition 
I really like the look of your purple Malawi x Blueberry hybrid Old Fogey well done
wutwut Hermies in Malawi line are extremely rare nowadays, especially since 2016, i worked hard to clean the line and test offspring.
Let the seedlings fully reach their sexual maturity first, so they clearly show their gender, especially when you are growing a new line for the first time.

Fine example of a (New) Killer pheno in flower structure, just missing a bit more of resin on the bud leaves, maybe because there's no leaf close to the buds to speak about!

yeah i was too rushy with my thoughts, because in my last round i had one freebie critical. it had weird looking leaves in veg state, and it did herm in flowering stage. the leaf shape had two different kind of colour/layer and it was not symmetrical at all. i think it has something to do with fem seeds. now this one malawi had same "issue", but after some time it looks to grow normally now. i will take some photos in this week. going to train them by mainlining in 2 gal fabric pots under 600w hps 4x4x7 tent (6 zamaldelicas, 5 malawis, maybe 2 panama).
yesterday i made a smoothie with fan leaves of zammy + malawi, and pinch of panama bud in it. wow. just fan leaves and i was floating with a little perspective wrongs. this seems to be the thing haha.

Snipped an early branch from one of the slower flowering plants, and gave it 5 days to dry before trying it mainly to gauge development. It was way more Potent than expected. I do enjoy a nice early picked Sativa buzz; so much changes during ripening. The faster flowering phenos will start coming down after the Moon shifts into 3rd Quarter Sagittarius on Monday. Man are they going to be Scary Strong.

Overvegged malawi 
i have to post this weird malawi (feminized). it's growing well, but it has these weird looking leaves since start. in my past round i got similar looking pheno from critical strain and it did hermed. i'm not sure about this one. anyone know what is this? i'm sure it has something to do with feminizing. (last two photos has normal looking phenos)

Does anyone know how frequent the long flowering pheno is (16+ weeks)? Maybe a better question for Dubi since he's grown the different generations. How many packs would it take to find one? I got one first try but it doesn't feel like a 1/10 plant

I looked through zanddars original report and couldn't find an ultra long flower time.
I'm mostly asking to try to get some data for breeding, I'm testing out Malawi hybrids and the long flowering pheno indeed seems recessive so far based on my poor sample size of 1 plant flowered and several vegged. The long flowering Malawi hybrids are like 50% smaller than the old killer hybrids and seem to take a backseat to the other strain, while the old killer can imprint quite strongly on the hybrid.
This seems to indicate to me that using the long flowering Malawi is probably better for a grandparent of a new hybrid since the genetics seem to mix more vs dominate, and F2 gen might be more interesting since it won't be dominated by old killer's rude aroma. Old Killer is a cheat code
, and IMO adds TOO MUCH power and hybrid vigor. If I wanted a super easy powerful sativa hybrid I would just give up and order from Ace again. I'm looking for new genetic recombinations.
I recall Dubi saying he selected away from the ultra long flower, and I can guess why based on the my experience with it, but I'm curious if anyone has attempted to work it as a line.
At you can imagine making a long flowering hybrid takes a lot of time so any data that can help me select further gens is helpful

Your Malawi seems to show some variegations effects. Sometimes, variegation make the leaves curling or twisting, as the part without chlorophyll cannot keep up the growth rate compare to the green part. Nothing to worry about, and nothing to do with hermaphrodism. Or TMV.
