your plant looks very nice! Do you notice the smell of natural lemon when you touch the flower a little? I want to put the Panama this year, last year I put a Panama x bangi haze and the teacher dubi told me that it was dominant in Panama Diosa, and looking at my photos your flowers are very similar to mine, I'm sure you will like it a lot this variety, after 2 or 3 months, the incense smoke is delicious

OZZ_ . Are you dimming that HLG at all? I have a similar model but I haven't used it yet.

Hey brother!

I keep the light mounted to its maximum height inside the tent. I leave about 4-5” of gap from the top of the driver to the top of the tent. I start off with freshly rooted clones so I do dim the driver.

My propagator tent has very low intensity LEDs, so when the clones go into the veg/flower tent they definitely need an adjustment period or they get really pissy. I start off at around 240 watts … but with it mounted permanently at the top of the tent they have like a full 50” or something from the light. I let them veg for a few days and start bumping it up 100 watts every 2-3 days until I’m maxed out at 600w.

From that point the plant simply grows into the light slowly increasing the light intensity through veg and stretch. I look to end up with the canopy about 20” away from the light, so If during flowering the plant doesn’t stretch to that height then I lower the light to 20-24”above the tops usually around week 4-5 of flowering. It’s a dance with the light so to speak.

Anytime I’ve tried to rush this process with that light it never works out. Plants get all stressed. Too much light intensity.

Keep in mind all this is with a ton of cal mag, whether in soil or coco the result is the same.

Hope that helps! :good:

OZZ_ Hey friend that helps a lot, thank you!

Also it depends on the plant too and temps as well. Right now that light is only on 500w, because I noticed at full intensity (600w) I was getting some edge curl on the leaves, so I’ll likely stay at 500w all through veg and look to bump it to 600w around week 4 of flowering assuming the plant doesn’t react negatively to it and/or temps don’t get out of hand. :good::dance013:

Thanks. Your plant does have the same look as mine. Yes I smell a faint lemon and something else. As this is my first time growing ace seeds, I don't know what to expect other than what I researched on this site . I burned some leaves from light but I corrected the issue. A few more weeks and she should be done.

Cant edit my post for some reason but i meant N5 and not N15, so close to the equator

Nah. I don't think so.

They'll just veg for a couple of months until they reach sexual maturity and then hit stretch and grow to the container size/conditions. Just make sure they have plenty of water and nutrient.
surprising vigour in this line!

Congrats on such a beautiful plant. I got hooked on Ace Gear after growing the Panama. I remember after jarring how all my pot snob friends said how it just looked like bag weed or "Mids". Theyd just been hacked up on indicas for so long and had forgot the pleasure of smoking a pure sativa. But man did they cramp my style after trying it. I had 3 ounces dry weight and i bet I only got a quarter ounce to myself between all the begging and smoke out sessions. Youre in for a real treat for sure

Thanks bro. I will definitely keep that in mine when sharing. I always claim I only have small amounts to stop the begging or the loitering on wanted to hang out with me. The Malawi thus far has exceeded my expectations and tolerance. Can't wait to try the Panama.

If you want another Panama strain look at Dr>GreenThumbs "panama red" (Refferman panama red x panama staiva strain (red)) what a great plant - going to add this to my next "run" need to find a few more long flower-ers -- any suggestions ?

i believe we grew the 1st Golden Tiger seeds ... we harvested at various times 100/120 and finally at 150days- the plant could have gone another 30days for sure - the weed was good, but was expecting better, espec after flowering for 150days

Hello MaaXero , beautiful plant with more beautiful and resinous flowers, it has a beautiful appearance, it gives me the impression that these plants in indoor crops have more notable and exaggerated re-flowering than in Outdoors, I strongly recommend that you let it cure for at least 4 months and power is enormous, its flavor is refined and the smoke it gives off is exquisite and very tropical, my panama x bangi haze now with 5 months of curing is exquisite and very powerful, the smoke that it gives off to incense and hashish is very refined and tropical, and I haven't tried the big ones yet. I'll let them cure for at least 1 year. Greetings and enjoy your precious Panama.

My harvest came out to 278 grams not including larf. Definitely going to use a 7 gallon pot and let her go 12 weeks, trimming the lowest third of a branch, I can see myself getting 12 oz.

Vape report:
Citrus taste is prominent, smells like cream and lemon with a sweet note to it.

Panama is an incredible mood enhancer, makes your head feels bloated and light as a feather. The effects are mild at first then peaks within 15 minutes and the peak lasts a long time. Very heady smoke that soothes the bad feeling, anxiety and makes it easier to chat and laugh. My wife enjoys this strain a lot more than KA5H, which puts her down everytime and she hates that.

I want to try other social strains, like Orient Express and Nep Jam but Panama feels about the right about of potency that I need. I had a Bangi Haze that I felt was weak but it was my first sativa and I didn't give it enough light.

Maybe Mal x Panama or Panama x Malawi...

Thanks a lot for the feedback Azn00superman :huggy: You perfectly described the creeper, uplifting, happy and psychedelic effects of Panama Goddess and the direction i took with Panama strain instead of the more toxic, heavy and narcotic of some Panama (mostly red) expressions. For effects i also personally prefer Panama Goddess and its hybrids rather than A5 Haze and its hybrids.
Hope you and your wife have been enjoying your well deserved harvest!

If you want to try next something kinder and social then Orient Express, Nepal Jam or Kali China are great choices, the hybrids between Malawi and Panama are very very strong and much more mind blowing.

Two weeks since chop, and I'm getting to know this ganja. First, I can absolutely discern that the sustained high temps had a deleterious effect - seems like some of the good stuff got cooked off...

That said, I'm still super impressed, and kind of blown away! It doesn't look like much (that heat fluffed the buds way out - not that looks are actually important!), it doesn't look or feel as resinous as it did before the heat wave slammed the poor plants, and the aroma is a lot fainter than it was before the heat cranked up, but despite that I'm loving this herb. It really isn't like anything I've had before, effect-wise. So damn far from those commercial hybrids, which is amazing. She's a real creeper. I mean, I thought I'd smoked some creepers, but with this Panama it's like it doesn't really kick in for 10-15 minutes after I'm done smoking, and then it's an upward trajectory for at least another half hour, if not longer, after which is stays up at that level for a good long while. The creeper stuff I've had before felt like it hit you a minute or so after you finished a full smoke sesh (as opposed to stuff that affects you mid-way through smoking, or even within the first couple of hits) - but the delayed reaction on the Panama is fascinating. And with other strains I've had, the intensity certainly doesn't keep building like this, it's more like they hit at or near peak and then slowly (hopefully slowly, but all to often quickly) drop off from there. The quality of the effect is different as well - super light and up and clear, with a sort of glow. This is exactly the sort of thing I was hoping to get from Ace genetics - personality! No same-old, same-old, but something that really stands out from the generic Skunk-based stuff (as does the Bubba Hash!). Really excited to see what happens to the overall potency of these girls after a really good, healthy run. I was going to wait another cycle before running Panama again, because I wanted to use the tent space for something new, but now I'm compelled to get her right back in there for another shot!

Thanks, Dubi and Ace, your work impresses the hell out of me! (Now if I can just do them justice and grow them properly!)

Happy Harvests, fellow Panama growers!

Here are some pics of the just-dried buds from my recent outdoor harvest.

My first (indoor) run of this plant was a bit rough, with outrageously high temps - I was certain that it cooked some of the goodness out of the flowers. I definitely enjoyed that flower, but I knew it wasn't nearly as good as it could have been, given better growing conditions. Well I'm happy to report that the outdoor harvest fully convinces me (and the wife) that this is an outstanding cultivar! Amazing and unique lemon soda, some hints of creamy vanilla, and some faint spices that I can't put my finger on. Right away, without any appreciable cure, she's tastier and more potent than the indoor run was. It's definitely heady, and even offers some euphoria, which is for me the most elusive cannabis effect (the only other plant I run that gives me euphoria is my sativa-dominant Blue Cheese from Big Buddha). Very, very pleased, as I always am when growing ACE genetics!

The wife has decided that this is her new favorite (though that can change from day to day if I'm being honest!). I already have another cutting in flower, in one of my tents, hoping to dial her in for the indoor runs, as I'm sure to want to grow her over the winter months as well! Though I suspect that nothing I can do inside will compare to good old Sun and Soil - I think they really bring out the best in her (and that sexy color, of course!)

It has been a pleasure to follow your efforts with Panama in the last months Humple W. ;) I really appreciate you had the will to grow again the same Panama clone indoors and outdoors to try to disclose all the magic this genetics has to offer, it was a pleasant surprise to see the clone finishing outdoors in your area, so well grown indoors the second time, and you and your wife enjoying so much the outcome of your different harvests ! ;) Thanks a lot for sharing your experience!

^ incredible

made some cannbutter with coconut oil. wow. i didn't realize this until now. the butter is very powerful because it has trims from 10 different phenos of panama - but also cbd #1 ( thc:cbd / 2,5 : 1 )
i am used to phenos 1 and 2, but this all other is very new for me. wow. i'm feeling up-going waves on my face to hair haha. now i understand something about sativa - it really hits, when it kick..

found some photos;

Hi wutwut thanks for sharing the experience of your Panama run. Checking out your updates, seems your Panama plants suffered from what i think was too high ph, too high temps and somewhat unbalanced feeding. I think you got interesting females to play with, worth to grow again under more favourable conditions, i'm sure you will be suprised by the efefcts and potency when Panama is grown close to its full potential.

For male selections, first it's very important to know well the strain you are selecting from, learn the phenos and expressions you prefer over the others, and apply this knwoledge later to the male selection, it's easier to select males when you can clearly relate some to your favorite traits from your best females.

Wonderful Panama Goddess expression FletchF.Fletch :dance013:I'm astonished with the amount of ACE genetics you have grown and with the quality of your grows, all your updates and feedback is much appreciated! How would you compare your direct Panama experience with let's say Panama hybrids like Panama x PCK or with other strong sativas Malawi and A5 Haze hybrids you have also experienced ?
